Jamie: Piggy Prizes™ is back with another magical sequel. For players who already know the franchise, what should feel instantly familiar in Piggy Prizes™ Wish of Riches 2™?
Richard: If you’ve played the original Wish of Riches, the core loop will feel like home immediately. You’ve still got the 15 individual reels in a 5×3 layout with 40 win lines, the Genie sitting on the centre reel as the wild that unlocks the locked coins and fixed pots, and the two piggy banks filling up until they pop and drop you into Free Games.
That familiarity is deliberate. People come back to Piggy Prizes because they already understand how to win, so we keep the foundation intact and let the new mechanics layer on top rather than rewrite the rules.
Jamie: The Genie was already a key part of Wish of Riches, but this game also introduces the Super Genie. What does he bring to the reels this time around?
Richard: The Super Genie is the headline upgrade. The original Genie unlocks coins and jackpots and feeds the pigs. The Super Genie does all of that and more: when he lands he actively adds extra coins and jackpots to the reels, and if one of his coins lands on a coin that’s already there, it boosts it to a higher value.
He also guarantees a coin to both pigs, and when he’s the one popping a pig you go into Super Free Games with him sticky on the centre reel instead of the standard Genie. So he’s not just a stronger wild, he changes the texture of the bonus you end up in.
Jamie: There is a lot going on with locked coins, fixed pot prizes, piggy banks, Magic Spin, Magic Rewind and Super Free Games. What would you say is the main selling of this sequel if you had to pick one feature or mechanic?
Richard: If I have to pick one, it’s the Super Genie and the Super Free Games he leads into, because that’s the mechanic that genuinely separates the sequel from the original. The locked coins, fixed pots and piggy banks are the heart of the series and they’re still here, but the Super Genie is what gives players a second, higher tier to chase. That sense of ‘there’s a better version of this bonus I could land in’ is what keeps the sessions interesting.
Jamie: Magic Rewind is a really visual mechanic, with symbols rewinding into more valuable positions. How important is it to add these almost theatrical moments into a game like this?
Richard: It matters a lot. A slot is a visual product as much as a mathematical one, and Magic Rewind is one of those moments where the player can see the game working in their favour. Non-winning symbols rewind into winning or jackpot positions right in front of you, so a spin that looked like nothing suddenly resolves into a win.
Those theatrical beats are important because they create anticipation and a payoff you can actually watch happen, rather than a number just appearing. That’s what makes a feature memorable and shareable.
Jamie: The piggy banks are still a big part of the experience, filling up before they pop and trigger Free Games. Why do you think that mechanic has connected so strongly with players across the Piggy Prizes™ series?
Richard: It’s a brilliantly simple piece of feedback. The pigs fill up visibly as you play, so the player can always see progress toward the next bonus. There’s no hidden counter, no mystery, you watch the pig get bigger and you know you’re getting closer.
That tangible build-up creates anticipation on every spin, and the pop itself is a satisfying release. Simple, visual progression that players instantly understand is hard to beat, and it’s become a signature of the series for exactly that reason.
Jamie: From a streamer or viewer perspective, where do you think the most exciting reaction moments are likely to come from in Piggy Prizes™ Wish of Riches 2™?
Richard: A few places. The Magic Rewind moments are the obvious one, because the reels visibly transform and you get that collective ‘oh!’ reaction. Both pigs popping at once for 12 Free Games is another big spike. But the real high point is dropping into Super Free Games with the Super Genie sticky on the centre reel, adding and boosting coins on every spin, because that’s where the biggest wins build and you can feel them compounding.
And for the higher-risk crowd, Xtreme Bet at 5x stake is built to deliver bonuses faster, which makes for exactly the kind of volatile, high-reaction content streamers thrive on.
Jamie: The game has plenty of features, but it still feels tied to the classic Piggy Prizes™ identity. How do you decide what to change in a sequel and what to leave alone?
Richard: The rule we follow is refine, don’t replace. We start by identifying what players actually associate with Piggy Prizes, the Genie on the centre reel, the locked coins and pots, the piggy banks, and we treat those as untouchable. Then we ask where there’s room to add something that raises the ceiling without confusing the core loop.
The Super Genie and Super Free Games are additive, they sit on top of mechanics people already know. We’re very wary of changing something just to make it different, because the familiarity is part of the value.
Jamie: Greentube has built Piggy Prizes™ into a proper franchise rather than a one-off series of similar games. What has the team learned from developing that family over time?
Richard: The biggest thing is that consistency builds trust. When a player sees the Piggy Prizes name, they know roughly what kind of experience they’re getting, and that recognition is incredibly valuable in a crowded market.
We’ve learned to protect the identity of the family while still giving each title its own hook, so a new release feels fresh but never alien. It’s also taught us a lot about which mechanics have staying power, the piggy banks and the Genie have proven they can carry multiple games, so we build around those strengths.
Jamie: Looking beyond this release, how much more room is there to keep evolving the Piggy Prizes™ format?
Richard: There’s plenty of room. The framework, individual reels, a centre-reel Genie, locked prizes and the piggy bank trigger, is flexible enough to support new modifiers, new bonus tiers and new bet structures without breaking what players love. Wish of Riches 2 already shows that with the Super Genie and Xtreme Bet.
As long as we keep adding in a way that respects the core identity, the format has a lot of life left in it. The moment we’d stop is if an addition started to dilute what makes it recognisably Piggy Prizes.
