The Scottish town of Motherwell has been revealed as the luckiest area for Postcode Lottery wins. With a population of nearly 33,000, it boasts an impressive 1,145 wins per 100,000 residents – the highest of any area in the UK. To date, the town has seen a total of 376 wins.
Coming in second is Kilmarnock, Scotland, with 913 wins per 100,000 residents. The town has recorded a total of 429 wins, the highest of any area in the ranking.

Rounding off the top three is Galashiels in Tweeddale, Scottish Borders, which has seen 155 wins, equating to 860 wins per 100,000 people.
Though Zetland, Scotland, has only had 16 wins, its small population results in 366 wins per 100,000, securing it the 10th spot in the overall rankings.

Western Central London has been revealed as the unluckiest area for Postcode Lottery wins. With a population of nearly 31,000, it has a win rate of just 29 wins per 100,000 residents, the lowest in the UK. So far, the area has recorded only nine wins in total.
In second place is North West London, with 32 wins per 100,000 residents. The area has seen a total of 188 wins, still relatively low compared to other regions in the ranking.
East London takes the third spot, with 370 wins overall, which equates to just 33 wins per 100,000 people.
East Central London ranks as the 10th unluckiest area, with only 17 total wins to date. However, due to its smaller population, this translates to 47 wins per 100,000 residents, placing it in 10th position in the overall ranking.
