iSoftBet is back with another interesting addition to their growing portfolio and there’s not a Hold & Win round in sight. iSoftBet is well known for their Twisted Tale series and Hold & Win titles which have won the hearts of many players, but will this modern day classic be able to do the same?

iSoftBet has chosen to revive the classic fruit machine theme once again, which has become a regular occurrence in slots from many Providers over the years, but will Hot Zone Wild be the most delicious of the bunch?

Hot Zone Wild is a 6 reel slot that plays over 729 ways. On the outside Hot Zone Wild looks tame, but underneath this there is an exciting Free Spins round that shares similar traits to that of Euphoria, featuring increasing Reel Multipliers and a maximum total win Multiplier of x10,000!

Hot Zone Wild Base Game and Features

Hot Zone Wild is a 6 reel slot with 729 ways to win. A winning combination can be formed by landing 3 or more of the same symbol type from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€200 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Hot Zone Wild is the Diamond, followed by the Bell, Watermelon, Lemon and Cherry. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen and Jack. There is also a Wild symbol present on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters.

Hot Zone Wild doesn’t have the most exciting base game which is lacking in any kind of features, but where it lacks in the base game it more than makes up for in the Free Spins round thanks to the Increasing Wild Multipliers.

Hot Zone Wild Free Spins

Landing 3 or 4 Scatters on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 6 and 8 Free Spins respectively.

During the Free Spins round, any Wild symbols that land in the Hot Zone on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 will increase the Reel Multiplier for that particular reel.

At the start of Free Spins, Wild symbols will first appear with a x2 Multiplier which is then applied to the Reel Multiplier at the top of the reel. Once a x2 Multiplier appears, no more Wilds with the same multiplier can land and this is the same for all other Multiplier values.

Wilds appear with Multipliers of x2, x3, x5 and x10 and the maximum total Win Multiplier that can be reached is x10,000. Once the x10 Multiplier is reached, no more Wild symbols will appear on the reels.

By collecting Wilds on all Hot Zone reels, an additional +4 Free Spins will be awarded.

Hot Zone Wild: Our Verdict

The phrase ‘looks can be deceiving’ certainly springs to mind when we think of Hot Zone Wild. The first thing that catches our eye in any new slot is the theme and design and Hot Zone Wild has a particularly common one. The retro/classic fruit machine theme is definitely a recurring one, but has iSoftBet managed to pull it off?

Although Hot Zone Wild looks pretty basic, it has impressive graphics and plenty of colour running through it. Due to its simplicity, Hot Zone Wild may appeal more to players who prefer their slots untainted by complex features and cluttered designs.

However, Hot Zone Wild does have an ace up its sleeve courtesy of the increasing Reel Multipliers that occur during the Free Spins round, which is eerily similar to that of Euphoria. Given how successful Euphoria was and still is with players, there is a chance that Hot Zone Wild will bask in the same glory.

All in all, Hot Zone Wild may not be as pretty as Euphoria but if you’re looking for similarities in terms of gameplay then this is as close as you’re going to get…for now.
