PixiePOP Base Game and Features

PixiePOP is a 5-reel slot with up to 32,768 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right or right to left, starting from the left or rightmost reels.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. PixiePOP has a theoretical RTP of 96.00% and a max win cap of 20,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is Red Fairy, followed by the Orange, Purple, Green, Blue, and Teal Fairies. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten. Wilds substitute for all symbols except Scatters and special Multiplier symbols.

PopWins

Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and replaced with 2 new symbols, increasing the reel height.

This will continue as long as there are more winning combinations formed for that spin. In the base game, reels are able to expand up to 5×6 symbols in reel height.

Once a reel has reached its maximum height, and there are still winning combinations on this reel, winning symbols will pop but they only get replaced by one symbol, since the reels are unable to expand any further.

Ante Bet

Before you can begin spinning, you will be given the option to activate the Ante Bet feature. Choosing to activate this feature will increase your current bet by 25%.

Once active, the Ante Bet doubles your chances of triggering the Free Spins round. The Ante Bet feature is located in the Bonus Buy tab so players within the UK may not have access to this feature.

Nudge Feature

During any random spin in the base game, the Nudge feature can trigger. Nudges are random Up or Down reel bumps that can improve your win in the following ways.

• Nudge in a Bonus Scatter to trigger Free Spins in the base game, or additional Free Spins during the Bonus round.
• Nudge a symbol to trigger a higher reel height.
• Nudge a Pay-anywhere symbol.

PixiePOP Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters across the reels during the base game automatically triggers the Free Spins round. The number of triggering Scatters that land will determine the number of Free Spins you’re awarded.

• 3 Scatters – Awards between 5 and 7 Free Spins.
• 4 Scatters – Awards between 7 and 9 Free Spins.
• 5 Scatters – Awards between 9 and 11 Free Spins.

During Free Spins, random Multiplicative Multiplier symbols may appear on the reels that contribute towards the Global Win Multiplier. Only 1 Multiplicative Multiplier symbol can land across the reels per spin or pop-spin. This symbol will Multiply the Global Win Multiplier when a win occurs on the same spin.

Also in play during this time is a random Additive Multiplier symbol that can appear across all reels during Free Spins. This symbol will add its Multiplier value to the Global Win Multiplier.

Only 1 Additive Multiplier can land across the reels per Free Spin or Pop-spin. The Multiplier value is only added when a win occurs on that particular spin.

Pay Anywhere Symbol

Before the Free Spins round begins, a random High-paying Fairy symbol will be chosen at random to become your Pay Anywhere symbol for the entire Free Spins round.

The Pay Anywhere symbol awards wins via pay anywhere rules, as follows.

• The Pay Anywhere symbol doesn’t need to be adjacent to award a payout.
• It still requires 3+ symbols on separate reels to be counted toward a win.

The Pay Anywhere symbol has its own Payout values for counting pay anywhere wins.

PixiePOP: Our Verdict

Looking up PixiePop on search engines doesn’t reveal AvatarUX’s newest game, but a rather romantic-looking shōjo manga. Suffice it to say that PixiePOP has nothing in common with the Japanese series, but we’d bet that like the manga, PixiePOP the slot won’t resonate that well with the lads…or will it?

If you can throw your masculinity to the wind in favour of a spin or two on PixiePOP then you’ll be pleasantly surprised with its capabilities. With this many iterations of the PopWins slot, you’d be hard-pressed to pick a favourite, and it’s interesting how they’re all exactly the same yet brilliantly different at the same time. The nudge feature is a cool little addition and an effective one at that. Later on in Free Spins, you can expect the same level of potential carnage present in all of the other PopWins slots, if you can gather a big enough multiplier and rows at maximum height.

At its best, PixiePOP is capable of up to 20,000x the bet. Even the manliest of men would slap a pixie tattoo on their arm if such a win came to fruition.

Overall, PixiePop looks like another great edition to the PopWins series. We wouldn’t say it’s better than many of the others, but we wouldn’t take it lightly.
