You may or may not agree with us, but we couldn’t help but be disappointed with the lack of imagination and creativity in the background. Plunderland is based on the iconic children’s book and movie Alice in Wonderland, where Alice falls down a rabbit hole and lands herself in the magical world of Wonderland, sadly it feels like we’ve missed the rabbit hole and landed face first on the hard floor.

Alice can be seen indulged in a reading book, with beautiful green scenery and a maze surrounding her.

The music playing throuhout is mysterious and fun and sound effects tie in nicely with the theme.

Plunderland Betting and Symbols

Plunderland has a sufficient amount of betting options for players to choose from.  Plunderland can be played from as little as £/€0.10 per spin and for players looking for something more, the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

The highest paying regular symbol in Plunderland is the Queen of Hearts, followed by the Mad Hatter and Alice. Lower paying symbols fall to the Red, Purple and Blue flowers.

The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except Scatters.

Plunderland Base Game and Features

Plunderland is a 7×7 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. In order to form a win you will need to connect 5 or more of the same symbols either Horizontally or Vertically.

Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will disappear and new symbols will fall into place via a Cascade, filling all the empty spaces with the possibility of creating even more winning combinations.

Plunderland has an exciting White Rabbit Wild feature to keep you entertained in the base game, this feature is certainly welcoming and offers a great deal of potential.

White Rabbit Wild

The White Rabbit Wild is always present, changing position with each base game spin.

Each time a winning combination is formed, the White Rabbit Wild will hop one position closer to the Hotspot in the centre of the grid. If the White Rabbit Wild reaches the Hotspot, it expands to a size of 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5. The size in which the White Rabbit Wild can expand is determined at the start of each base game spin. Once the White Rabbit Wild has finished with its expansion, it will go back to its original size and be repositioned on the grid.

Each time a win is formed with the White Rabbit Wild, the Multiplier attached to it will increase by +1 each time.

The White Rabbit Wild can reach the Hotspot multiple times during one spin, increasing the size it can expand up to and retaining the achieved Multiplier.

Plunderland Free Spins

Landing 3 Scatter symbols in any position on the grid, triggers the Mad Hatter’s Free Spins round, awarding 6 Free Spins.

During the Free Spins round, the Hotspot expansion size starts off as 2×2, increasing each time the White Rabbit Wild reaches the Hotpot.

The White Rabbit Wild starts off without a Multiplier, increasing by +1 each time its used to form a winning combination. Both the Wild expansion and the Multiplier value is persistent throughout the Free Spins round.

Landing 3 Scatters during the Free Spins round, awards an additional +6 Free Spins. Landing 1 Scatter symbols awards an additional +1 Free Spin.

Plunderland Our Verdict

Is Plunderland the best Alice in Wonderland inspired theme we’ve come across? Proably not, but where Plunderland lacks in creativity, it soon makes up for in the base game and Free Spins

If you’re looking for something with a little more excitement, you might not want to waste your time with Plunderland. Plunderland is by no means the worst game ever created by Relax Gaming, but there’s a lot of Alice in Wonderland Slots to compete with, and the ‘genre’ if you can call it that, is filled with some very convincing alternatives.

As well as this, Relax Gaming themselves has impressed so much with non-related titles that Plunderland is a little bit disenchanting, ironically enough.

Win potential here looks great with 10,226x capabilities, and other statistics like RTP and Hit Frequency look decent enough too, but even they may not be convincing enough here.

Overall, Plunderland is a good slot with decent potential, but it’s we don’t think it will enjoy much longevity.
