Boosting Fortunes
In 10,000x Gold, there are 5 Fortune Prizes displayed above the main reel set. Each time a special Coin symbol appears, it will boost the value of the Fortune Prize above that particular reel.

Free Spins

In this round, Wild symbols will expand when in view, transforming into a single stacked Wild symbol. The new stacked Wild will generate a Multiplier between x6 and x12 which is applied to all wins that pass through it.
In addition, each Wild symbol that hits will boost the Fortune Prize above that particular reel. Landing Scatter symbols on the reels will award additional Free Spins.
Our Verdict
10,000x Gold brings about the New Year for 4ThePlayer in a rather glamorous fashion with its gold-laden reels and upbeat music. 4ThePlayer is known and loved for their amalgamation of innovative gameplay with tried and true methods, but 10,000x Gold left us rather frustrated.
5-of-a-kind wins or bigger could pay quite nicely in previous 4ThePlayer games, but this one feels like it lacks the punchiness required to evoke excitement. The Stack Xpand symbols were our main gripe. It’s an excellent idea in concept, but the payouts can feel underwhelming.
We’re sure that bigger combinations than we had could yield impressive results, but our estimations of the win size were always bigger than the actual result. As we’re writing this now we tested a Stack Xpand where we had a 64x stack and symbols stretching from left to right and a mere 32x your bet was awarded.
We just feel a tad shortchanged. These were obviously programmed to land quite frequently and as a result, the potential would have to be adjusted, but we think we’d prefer to see less frequent stacks and bigger wins.
Our expectations for the payouts may stem from our own preconceptions, shaped by our experience with other slots, but we believe many would share this perspective. Looking out for these stacks makes the other symbols on the reel a bit of an afterthought as well. We found ourselves looking more for these, ignoring most other symbols on the reels.
In other areas, 10,000x Gold will surely please thanks to its Mini, Midi, Super, Mega and Ultra Jackpot Prizes, which can be improved with the boosting fortunes feature quite significantly. The mini starts at 8x and can reach a maximum of 100x, making it all but Mini and their Ultra can cap out at 5000x, or half of the game’s maximum win cap. This is a commendable inclusion that in our opinion increases the longevity of the game for those invested in ladders like this.
Overall, 10,000x Gold deserves kudos, but we stand by our initial comments about its more frustrating elements.,
