2 Fast 2 Fruity combines a classic aesthetic with modern twists and features. Through the Cascade feature, each spin offers multiple opportunities for players to hit extra wins, replacing positions with Wilds and boosting the Win Multiplier.

Reflex Gaming has quite an extensive portfolio of classic fruit-themed slots that push through with modern mechanics such as Yggdrasil Gaming’s DoubleMax mechanic. 2 Fast 2 Fruity follows in the footsteps of its predecessors by utilising a Multiplier Ladder, which enhances the value of wins significantly.

Base Game & Features

2 Fast 2 Fruity is a standard 5-reel Video Slot with 20 active pay lines and varying bet sizes between £0.20  and £100 per spin. Wins are calculated when 3 or more matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Wins may be calculated from right to left if an active Eachway Wild is present.

This game has 7 Fruit symbols and 1 Logo symbol available, each able to produce wins between 0.1x and 2.5x your bet. Each winning combination is removed and replaced via a Cascading Reels function. Before the Cascade function occurs, a Wild symbol is positioned on a random reel.

Lastly, 2 Fast 2 Fruity is labelled a highly volatile slot with an overall RTP of 94% and a max win cap of 9,998x your bet.

Super Wilds

Not only does 2 Fast 2 Fruity have regular Wilds, but it also features up to 5 Super Wilds, each substituting for all symbols except Scatters. All 5 Super Wilds have a unique modifier – these include:

• Stacked Wild: Fills the entire reel with Wilds after symbol elimination
• Boost Wild: Boosts the Multiplier Trail by 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 positions
• Eachway Wild: Evaluates and pays wins from the leftmost and rightmost reels
• Sticky Wild: Sticks to the reel and remains there for several Cascades, up to a maximum of 9 in the base game and 13 in Free Spins
• Mystery Wild: Replaces all removed symbols with a randomly chosen symbol, Scatters, or regular Wilds

Multiplier Trail

A special Multiplier Trail is fitted to the left of the main reel set, starting at x1. In the base game, every winning combination increases the Multiplier by +1 position. After a losing Cascade, the Multiplier Trail resets to x1. In Free Spins, the Multiplier begins at x1 and builds throughout the round and does not reset between spins.

Golden Bet

Players can boost their overall experience by activating the Golden Bet feature for an additional 25% of their current bet. Once active, your chance of triggering Free Spins is naturally higher.

Bonus Buy

Non-UK players can indulge in a Bonus Buy option which allows players to trigger the Free Spins round. This option costs an additional 100x their current bet. Once active, 7, 10, or 13 Free Spins are awarded.

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 7, 10, and 13 Free Spins respectively.

Before the Free Spins round begins, you will be invited to trade your current Free Spins for more via a Gamble Feature. Spin the dial on the Gamble Wheel to determine a Win or Lose outcome. If the gamble is unsuccessful, you will return to the base game, empty-handed.

•  Gambling from 7 to 10 Free Spins: 74.38% success rate
• Gambling from 10 to 13 Free Spins: 61.08% success rate

Our Verdict

You’d be hard pressed to notice too much of a difference between this one and Reflex’s own Double Fruit Frenzy Doublemax, which also capitalised on the retro fruit theme. It’s appealing to many still affectionate to what you could consider the ‘purest’ version of an online slot, but unappealing to many more interested in something more modern.

The build quality doesn’t feel that great either. It doesn’t have the same smoothness to it that others have, which may also deter those accustomed to the excellent quality of other providers.

Mechanically, 2 Fast 2 Fruity is quite interesting. It mimics games in the Yggdrasil catalogue, reminding us of Multifly and Raptor DoubleMax. It has a fair array of wild symbols which are left behind by wins, and the multipliers can grow to significant and exciting heights rather quickly.

2 Fast 2 Fruity looks a bit lacklustre, but in fairness to it, it’s a lot more appealing than it actually looks.
