3 Shamrock Pots: POWER COMBO Slot Review
Rolling emerald hills, clover in the grass and a fat gold bevel around the reels: 3 Shamrock Pots: POWER COMBO wears its Irish countryside in the big, glossy storybook-cartoon style, all dark tree canopy and hazy blue hills behind the grid. Strip the paint off, though, and this is less one slot than three bolted together, and they are not equal: the green and pink rounds are where the money and the fun live, while the red round is a slow coin-count that can’t be rescued once it starts.
That unevenness is the whole design. All For One Studios run it at 96.40% RTP with medium volatility, on a 5×4 grid over 40 paylines, and the three-scatter system is the same POWER COMBO build that carried Spinnin’ Riches POWER COMBO and Eternal Guardians: Anubis POWER COMBO. Which colours share a spin decides which of the three games you’re actually playing.
Base Game & Features
Five reels, four rows, and 40 fixed paylines that can’t be adjusted. Wins run left to right from the first reel, and only the highest combination on each line pays. The overall hit rate works out at 38.82%: a shade under two spins in five return something.
When the green Scatter’s free spins are running, the grid stretches to six rows and the line count jumps to 100. Otherwise the layout stays put. Stakes run from 0.20 to 20.00 per spin, and payouts are calculated on the initial bet, which is the total bet divided by ten. Multiple wins on different lines all add up. Symbol pays, as multiples of the initial bet:
- Harp: 0.1x for two, 0.5x for three, 1x for four, 5x for five
- Leprechaun Hat / Beer Mug: 0.3x, 0.5x, 2.5x for three, four and five
- Pipe / Mushroom: 0.2x, 0.5x, 2.5x for three, four and five
- A / K / Q: 0.1x, 0.2x, 0.8x for three, four and five
- J / 10 / 9: 0.1x, 0.2x, 0.7x for three, four and five
The Harp is the only symbol that pays from two of a kind, and five of them return five times the initial bet, which is ten times your per-line stake once the payline cost of ten is accounted for. That’s the ceiling on regular symbol wins, and it’s a modest one. Everything else clusters in a narrow band, so the paytable is flat rather than top-heavy.
Wilds land on reels two, three and four only, substituting for everything except Scatters and Coin symbols, and they don’t pay anything themselves. Three coloured Scatters, green, red and pink, sit at the centre of the game, and each one opens a different bonus.
The graphical collection of Scatter symbols on screen is purely for show, and it doesn’t influence triggering. Scatters pay nothing on their own either. What matters is which colours share a spin, because that’s what opens the door to combined rounds.
3 Shamrock Pots: POWER COMBO Free Spins & Jackpots
Each Scatter colour carries its own power, and the three rounds are built quite differently from one another. Spins awarded:
- Green Scatter: 5 free spins with Wild Power
- Pink Scatter: 5 free spins with Multiplier Power
- Red Scatter: 10 free spins with Jackpot Power
- Green plus pink together: 5 free spins with both powers
- Green or pink with red together: 10 free spins with both powers
- All three together: 10 free spins with everything active
Free spins play out automatically at the same bet as the triggering spin, and wins from the feature are added to any base game win from that spin. Retrigger rules differ from round to round, and the red round stands alone in what it can’t do.
Wild Power (Green Scatter)
Five free spins on an expanded 5×6 grid with 100 paylines, the one place in the game where the line count changes. Wilds appear in stacks of at least six symbols, which covers a full reel on the taller grid. Whenever a single Wild lands on a reel, that reel nudges to fill completely with Wilds before any wins are paid, so one Wild anywhere on a reel is effectively six.
Landing another green Scatter during the round adds one or two spins. A red or pink Scatter landing can convert the session into a combined feature instead, which abandons the remaining spins and starts the combined award from its own count.
Multiplier Power (Pink Scatter)
Five free spins with a random win multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x applied to every spin. The multiplier is drawn fresh each spin, so a round can swing from a quiet 2x spin straight into a 10x one.
A pink Scatter landing during the round adds one or two more spins. A green or red Scatter can upgrade the round into a combined feature.
Jackpot Power (Red Scatter)
10 free spins with Coin symbols dropping in. Each Coin reveals either a cash prize of 1x or 10x the total bet, or a coloured coin marked with a three-pointed symbol that feeds the jackpot container matching its colour. Fill a container and its prize pays:
- Grand Jackpot: 10,000x total bet (five golden coins)
- Major Jackpot: 500x total bet (five purple coins)
- Minor Jackpot: 50x total bet (five pink coins)
- Mini Jackpot: 25x total bet (four blue coins)
The Mini is the odd rung, needing four blue coins rather than five of anything. This round can’t be retriggered, and it can’t become a combined feature from within itself. Scatter symbols aren’t present at all during a Jackpot Power round, so nothing can interrupt it.
When it ends, every collected coin is dismissed and the containers start from zero next time. That reset is the price of a shot at the ladder’s top rung.
POWER COMBO Rounds
Different coloured Scatters landing together in the base game, or during an active free spins session, can trigger a combined round. When that happens mid-feature, the remaining spins are disregarded and reset to whatever the combined award gives.
The pairings differ in what they’re worth. Green with pink pays 5 spins but pairs the two powers that feed each other directly: full Wild reels under a random multiplier up to 10x is where the payline math gets loudest.
Green with red, and pink with red, each award 10 spins and put the coin collection alongside a second power, which makes the cash and coloured coins drop harder. All three Scatters at once runs the full POWER COMBO with every power live for 10 spins.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Sitting down at 3 Shamrock Pots is mostly sitting in the flat base game hoping two colours land together, and honestly, that’s the point. The session only becomes interesting the moment a green and a pink share a spin, because those two rounds make each other worth something. Full Wild reels under a doubled, trebled or 10x-doubled multiplier is the best thing here by a distance, and it’s the reason anybody picks this over a plain Irish slot.
The red round is the let-down. Ten spins of coin-counting that can’t retrigger, can’t combine and wipes its own progress at the end feels like a different, slower game gatecrashing the party. The flat paytable doesn’t help between bonuses.
This is one for players who enjoy bonuses that fuse into something bigger and don’t mind thin pickings while they wait. Chasers of a headline ceiling or a rich base game should look past the hills. Everyone else will find the craic is in the combos.
