Amazing Builder Prometheus Slot Review
A ruined temple looks out over a green Greek valley, dawn clouds stacked over the peaks, and inside a gold frame that glows like it’s lit from within, the reels are already on fire. SpinPlay Games has built Amazing Builder Prometheus so that almost nothing is decided by the spin in front of you: every symbol is either a small line win or fuel for a round that hasn’t started yet, which makes this one of those rare slots where a losing spin still feels like progress.
It’s a 5×3, 20-payline game at 96.51% RTP with medium volatility, and the fire-thief himself is the wild. It shares its bones with Amazing Builder Gryphon and Amazing Link Apollo, whose collect-and-upgrade rounds did all the heavy lifting. Betting runs from 0.20 up to 50.00.
Base Game & Features
The base game is plain five-reel work. Wins pay left to right across 20 fixed paylines, and only the highest combination counts on each line. If several winning combinations land on a single payline, you’re paid the best one, not all of them.
The total payout for a spin is the sum of every payline win that lands on it. A payline is a pattern of adjacent positions running across the reels, and with all 20 fixed there’s nothing to configure before you spin.
Medium volatility and a hit frequency of 28.96% mean roughly three spins in ten return something. That’s a comfortable pace for a collect game, one that wants you watching the reels between features rather than grinding through them.
The paytable is bottom-heavy, as these games tend to be. Symbol values as multiples of the line bet:
- Eagle: 1x for three, 2x for four, 5x for five
- Bracers: 0.5x, 1x, 4x
- Scroll and Laurel Wreath: 0.3x, 0.5x, 3x
- A, K, Q: 0.2x, 0.4x, 2x
- J, 10, 9: 0.1x, 0.3x, 1x
Prometheus himself is the wild, substituting for everything except the Bonus and Amazing Builder symbols, and he can form his own winning line too. Bonus symbols land only on reels 1, 3 and 5. Six or more scattered Amazing Builder symbols trigger the headline feature, which is where the reels stop behaving like a normal slot.
The initial bet works as the total bet divided by the 20 payline cost, and payouts are based on that initial bet. It’s standard fixed-line arithmetic, but it explains why the paytable values read smaller than the stake suggests.
Autoplay is available in the base game only, with a set number of spins at the current bet. You can attach a loss limit that ends the session if your balance drops by a chosen amount, and a win limit that ends it the moment a single win reaches one.
A Quickspin option resolves spins faster without influencing the results, and a tap on the reels stops them early – again with no effect on the outcome. Nothing here changes the maths; it only changes how quickly you see it.
Random Feature Triggers
On any base game spin that doesn’t trigger the Amazing Builder feature or Free Spins, collected symbols can set off a random feature instead. Collecting wilds can launch the Pick Feature, collected Bonus symbols can launch Free Spins, and collected Amazing Builder symbols can launch the Amazing Builder round. Only one fires per spin.
The animation around a collection doesn’t influence whether the feature triggers, which is worth knowing on a game this fond of theatrical build-ups. The maths decides, then the fireworks follow.
Pick Feature
The Pick Feature asks you to match three icons from a grid, and a match wins the corresponding MEGA, MAJOR, MINOR or MINI prize. The icons can carry multipliers, and a multiplier on one of your three matching icons lifts the prize accordingly.
It can’t fire on a spin that has already started one of the bigger rounds. There’s an autoplay button that selects the icons for you, though it doesn’t influence the results.
Between the random triggers, the pick game and the two headline rounds, the base game is really a lobby. Line wins keep the balance ticking, but every symbol on the reels is also fuel for something else, and the game makes no secret of where its interest lies.
Amazing Builder Prometheus Bonus Features & Free Spins
The Amazing Builder Feature
Landing at least six Amazing Builder symbols in a single spin starts the round, and the payout rules change completely once it does. Line pays are off for the duration, and every triggering symbol drops a Blue Fire frame onto its position. Frames hold for the rest of the feature, and each one will pay at the end. From there it’s a ladder:
- Blue Fire upgrades to Red Fire, Red Fire upgrades to Gold Fire
- Builder symbols that land add frames or upgrade existing ones
- A symbol landing on a Gold Fire position is moved to a position without one
- Each Extra Spin Symbol awards one additional spin
- The round ends when spins run out or every position holds a Gold Fire frame
When it ends, every frame on the grid reveals and pays its prize, so the whole round is a question of how far up the ladder you climb before the spins stop. Covering the grid in gold is the dream scenario, and the extra spin symbols are what keep it alive.
The Gold Fire rule is the quiet engine of the round. Because symbols landing on finished positions get shuffled elsewhere, nothing is wasted: every Builder symbol that arrives either builds a new frame, pushes an old one up a step, or sets up fresh ground on an untouched position.
Free Spins
Three Bonus symbols, one on each of reels 1, 3 and 5, award ten free spins. On every spin a random reel transforms into an Amazing Wild Reel packed with wild Amazing Builder symbols that substitute for everything. Bets and lines stay exactly as they were on the triggering spin.
It’s the simpler of the two rounds and the more immediately readable. A guaranteed wild reel each spin does obvious work on 20 fixed lines, and it doesn’t need a ladder to explain itself.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
Playing this one is mostly watching and waiting: spins tick past, symbols collect quietly, and then a frame drops and the whole session changes shape. The reason to choose it is that finale, when the grid pays out everything it’s been hoarding at once – a proper heist-of-Olympus payoff for the patience.
The best thing SpinPlay has done here is make nothing wasted. A spin that wins nothing can still nudge you towards a feature, and a Builder symbol landing on a finished position gets moved rather than lost. The weakness is the ceiling: the paytable tops out at 5x for five Eagles and the prizes are fixed jackpots rather than stake multipliers, so the maths has a shape you can see from the first ten minutes.
If you enjoy games that build towards something, where individual symbol positions matter and the last spin can change the picture, this will keep you warm. Chasers of outsized multipliers won’t find that fire here, and that’s fine – this one was never about the size of the flame, only how long you can keep it burning.
