Amazing Legends Slot Review
Three gods stand shoulder to shoulder above the reels on Mount Olympus at sunset, each cradling a glowing orb: ice blue, gold, molten red, with a crowned thunder god holding a lightning bolt overhead in the middle. SpinPlay Games built their whole Amazing Legends family on a single idea, and this, the game that carries the name, is the idea in its purest form: everything this slot pays is decided in the moment of trigger, and almost nothing is decided before it.
It runs at 96.49% RTP with high volatility on a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, with stakes from 0.20 to 50. Sister titles like Amazing Legends Olympus and Amazing Legends Lucky Devils took the same bones further, but the original round still has its own tricks. What it doesn’t have is a stated maximum win, so the gods keep that particular secret.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a straight 20-payline affair. Wins run left to right from the first reel, and the payline count is fixed. Only the highest combination pays on each line, so a payline carrying two different winning combos awards just the better of them.
Where several lines win on a single spin, the payouts stack. The total is the sum of every payline win from that spin, which is how the smaller royals add up into something worth collecting at all.
Hit frequency sits at 34.03%, so roughly a third of spins return something. With this volatility, most of those returns are small change, and the paytable below explains why.
Payouts are based on the initial bet, which is the total bet divided by the 20-line cost. The paytable therefore reads in line-bet multiples rather than totals, and the values below are line-bet multiples too.
Temple symbols are the wilds, substituting for everything except Bonus and Prize symbols, and they can form their own winning lines. That’s the full extent of the base game’s own ideas: there are no random modifiers, no respins, nothing between you and the next trigger attempt.
Autoplay is base-game only, with a set number of spins at the current stake. It can be capped by a loss limit or a single-win limit, and either ends the session early. Quickspin resolves spins faster without touching the results, and a tap on the reels stops them mid-turn the same way. Neither changes what lands.
Paytable
Payouts are multiples of the line bet, for three, four and five of a kind:
- Horse heads the table: 1x for three on a line, 2x for four, 5x for five
- Wolves pay 0.5x for three, 1x for four, 4x for five
- Eagle pays 0.3x, 0.5x, then 3x across the three steps
- Shark matches the Eagle exactly: 0.3x, 0.5x, then 3x
- A, K and Q share a row, paying 0.2x for three, 0.4x for four, 2x for five
- J, 10 and 9 bring up the rear at 0.1x for three, 0.3x for four, 1x for five
It’s a flat paytable. The top symbol pays 5x for a full line, and the royals trail off to a tenth of that at the bottom. That tells you where the money in this game actually lives: the bonus round.
Amazing Legends Free Spins
Whenever one or more Bonus symbols appear, there’s a chance the Amazing Legends Free Spins feature triggers. The combination of Bonus symbols that land at the trigger moment decides which modifier symbols are active in the round.
That’s the family’s signature move: you never know which version of the bonus you’ve been dealt until you’re in it. A trigger with a single plain Bonus symbol plays very differently to one that arrives flanked by specials.
Any Bonus symbol from the triggering spin transforms into a Prize symbol and locks into place. Three free spins are awarded, and every time a new Prize or Bonus symbol lands, the counter resets to three. The round ends when the spins run out or every position fills.
Filling the grid pays the MEGA prize on top of everything already locked there. With 15 positions on a 5×3 grid, a full sweep is a tall order, and that’s the point: the MEGA only lands when the resets keep coming, spin after spin, with no gaps long enough to run the clock down. A grid that stalls twice in a row is usually finished.
Each locked Prize symbol carries a cash value, paid in full at the end of the feature. The prize ladder runs from MINI through MINOR and MAJOR up to MEGA, so a single grid can hold a spread of tiers at once.
The bet multiplier carries over from the triggering game, so the prizes scale with what you were staking when the gods finally showed up. Prize symbols only appear inside this feature, never in the base game.
The Modifier Symbols
Three special Bonus symbols can appear during the round, but only if they were part of the triggering combination. Each works differently:
- Prize Boost: displays a random prize value that’s added to every locked Prize symbol, then locks in as a Prize symbol itself before the next spin
- Collect-All: collects the values from all locked Prize symbols, then locks in as a Prize symbol holding the total
- Multiplier: awards random multipliers that apply to random locked Prize symbols, then locks in as a Prize symbol with a random value
All three follow the same rhythm: land, do their work, then freeze into the grid as a paying tile before the next spin. A modifier that lands late doesn’t just act once, it stays on the board as a value for the rest of the round.
The Collect-All symbol is the loud one. It sweeps the board’s value into a single tile, and that tile keeps collecting if more symbols land beside it. A trigger carrying both Collect-All and Multiplier can turn a modest grid into something serious in the space of two resets.
Prize Boost works the other direction, fattening every locked tile at once rather than consolidating them. On a grid already holding four or five values, a single Boost landing late can be worth more than the tiles it joined.
There’s no bonus buy on this one. The ladder is only reachable the traditional way, one Bonus symbol at a time.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Most of a session here is spent watching the sunset with the gods while nothing much happens, and that’s not a complaint: the waiting is the whole design. One trigger is all anybody’s here for, because the Bonus symbols that arrive with it decide which round you actually get, and no two trips up the mountain play the same.
The round itself is the best thing here. It’s genuinely variable, because the modifiers that lock in early keep working for the whole feature, so a modest grid can snowball two resets later. The wait between rounds is the worst: outside the wilds there is nothing to do, and later family entries give the climb more of its own character than this one does.
It’s a good home for hold-and-win players who want every round dealt fresh and don’t need entertaining in between. Anyone who wants a base game with ideas of its own will find the mountain quiet, but the sunset’s warm, and the round at the top of it is worth the climb for the right player.
