Bavarian Riches Slot Review
Amber light over a polished wooden bar, barrels stacked to the edges of the screen and blue-and-white bunting strung across the reels: Bavarian Riches puts you in the beer hall before you’ve pressed anything. Then it makes an unusual bet. This is a modern six-reel slot with no free spins, no respins and no bonus round of any kind, and it gambles the whole game on a paytable tall enough to carry that by itself.
It’s a Spinomenal build, running on a 6×4 grid with 20 fixed paylines, an RTP of 96.16%, mid-to-high volatility and a top prize of 15,000x the total bet for six Wilds. The Bavarian Riches name carried on in Bavarian Riches 3, reviewed here in 2026, and the studio’s catalogue also runs to Majestic King and Tiger Charms. This one is simpler than any of them.
What it has instead of features is a paytable that keeps paying for six-of-a-kind, and a Wild with a condition attached that shapes the whole top end.
Twenty Lines Through the Beer Hall
The mechanics are classic line-based. All symbols pay from left to right, starting on the leftmost reel, and only the highest win on each line is paid. Line wins are multiplied by the bet per line, which you set with the plus and minus buttons before spinning.
Every spin plays all 20 lines; there’s no choosing your coverage.
Multiple line wins in a single round don’t compete with each other. Every qualifying combination adds together into the round’s total, which is displayed in the win field. The spin button and the space bar both set the reels going, and spinning with a round in progress locks out the help and settings buttons until it settles.
There are no free spins, no respins and no pick’em rounds anywhere in this game. What fills the space is the paytable, which is unusually tall for a 20-liner: six of a kind pays several times what five pays on every symbol, and the gap between the top and bottom tiers is wide.
Turbo and Auto Play
Turbo Mode shortens each round to the shortest possible spin, toggled from the bottom-left corner on desktop or from the settings menu on mobile. Auto Play runs continuous spins at the selected bet per line, with a configuration screen for choosing how many.
Auto Play can be paused at any time, and it can also start Turbo Mode from the same configuration screen. Both are standard Spinomenal fittings rather than features of this game in particular.
Symbols, Wilds and the Scatter Condition
The Hat leads the paytable, the Pretzel and the A sit in the second tier, and K, Q and J prop up the bottom.
- Hat – 200x for three, 500x for four, 1,250x for five, 4,000x for six
- Pretzel – 100x for three, 200x for four, 1,000x for five, 2,000x for six
- A – 100x for three, 200x for four, 1,000x for five, 2,000x for six
- K – 50x for three, 100x for four, 350x for five, 700x for six
- Q – 50x for three, 100x for four, 350x for five, 700x for six
- J – 30x for three, 50x for four, 150x for five, 500x for six
Note the shape of that ladder. On every symbol, six of a kind is worth at least three times what five pays, and on the Hat the jump from five to six more than triples again. On a six-reel, four-row grid, a six-of-a-kind line means the same symbol on every reel at once.
The middle of the ladder is compressed: the Pretzel and the A pay identically, as do the K and the Q, so there are effectively four pay tiers across six paying symbols. That leaves the Hat standing well clear of everything beneath it, which is where the mid-to-high volatility shows itself in the paytable design.
The Wild and Its Condition
The Wild substitutes for every symbol except the Scatter, and it’s the richest symbol in the game by a clear margin. Its values, again as multiples of the total bet:
- Wild – 500x for three, 1,500x for four, 5,000x for five, 15,000x for six
A run of three to five Wilds only pays when it’s followed by a Scatter symbol. Six Wilds pay unconditionally. That single rule shapes how the top of the paytable behaves: the biggest line prize in the game sits behind either a full six-reel span of Wilds or a Scatter arriving at exactly the right moment.
Because the Wild substitutes for everything except the Scatter, it also lifts every ordinary symbol’s realistic ceiling. A near-miss Hat line with a Wild filling the gap pays as though the Hat had landed, so the condition cuts both ways: the Wild completes lines freely, but its own prize needs the Scatter’s help below six.
Scatter Pays
The Scatter pays on any position, unaffected by paylines. Its prizes are multiplied by the total bet, and any Scatter winnings are added on top of payline wins from the same round, so a good Scatter drop stacks rather than replaces.
- Scatter – 10x for three, 50x for four, 1,250x for five, 2,500x for six
The Scatter ladder is steep at the top. Three of them pay a token amount, but five pays the same as five Hats, and the Wild’s condition means a five-Wild line with a Scatter behind it collects both prizes at once.
That stacking is the closest thing this game has to a feature moment. A single round can carry a full payline win, a Scatter prize of up to 2,500x the total bet, and a Wild line unlocked by the same Scatter, all added together. Nothing retrigger, nothing carries over; each round stands alone.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.8/10
Playing this is an old-fashioned kind of session: same tavern, same 20 lines, spin after spin, with the six-of-a-kind ladder as the only thing pulling you forward. That’s the whole reason to sit at this bar. Nothing interrupts, and the one thing that can happen is big.
The strength is the top end, and it’s built rather than quoted. Six of a kind pays several times five on every symbol, and Scatter prizes stack on top of line wins instead of replacing them, so a single round can collect three ways at once. The weakness is everything between those moments: no free spins, no respins, and a Wild whose prize below six needs a Scatter trailing it, which makes the top tier harder to reach still.
It suits players who like classic liners with a genuine ceiling and no feature loop to learn, and it’ll leave anyone who wants free spins standing at the bar. For the rest, the pretzels pay and the beer is cold.
