Base Game & Features
Big Game Fishing Golden Catch is a standard 5-reel, 3-row Video Slot with 10 fixed pay lines. Wins are calculated when 3-5 identical symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1.
The 10 high and low-paying symbols consist of 5 Fishing Icons and 5 (A-10) Card Suits. A fixed payout between 0.2x and 200x your bet is applied when a win is produced.
Furthermore, the Wild Fisherman symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters and pay between 0.5x and 5,000x your bet. These symbols only appear in the Free Spins mode, with potential Multipliers that apply to Fish symbols only.
Hook A Bonus

Max Play

Dual Gamble
During gameplay, a special Gamble Feature can be offered to any base game win, including Cash Fish in the Max Play mode. The gamble feature can be enabled via the Gamble button, which can be set to off, on, or 5x or more.

Our Honest Verdict
After a rather pleasant experience in Big Game Fishing TopHit, disappointingly, the sequel quickly became nothing more than a Big Bass Bonanza interpretation.
In the base game, you can play with a number of interesting features, including a gamble mode and an enhanced base game variation (max play), but the Free Spins round is just your average retrigger trail and fish collection feature.
Granted, Reflex Gaming has created Sticky Fisherman Wilds, which incorporates a higher success rate of retriggering the feature, but it’s not enough to differentiate it from all other fishing slots.
In all honesty, the base game features are far more appealing than the Free Spins mode. The idea of being able to indulge in a mini game of the Free Spins round is exactly the kind of positive changes the Fishing genre needs – and the good news is that there’s no extra cost to participate in this mode.
For a high volatility slot, this game includes a slightly lower than expected RTP of 94%, paired with an average max win cap of 5,000x your bet. However, these statistics are copied over from the original release.
All in all, Big Game Fishing Golden Catch offers a great selection of features and functions in the base game, but it replicates gameplay during Free Spins, found in the abundance of Fishing slots already available on the market.
