Bison Rising Reloaded

Bison Rising Reloaded Slot Review

Blueprint Gaming have established themselves as skilled craftspeople in the Megaways space, and Bison Rising Reloaded represents a refined take on their wilderness-themed portfolio. This is the Reloaded edition of the popular Bison Rising series–an update that maintains the franchise’s core appeal whilst introducing a distinctive pre-bonus gamble mechanic. The game positions itself for experienced players who appreciate volatility and customisable bonus features, rather than those seeking steady base game action.

Base Game & Features

Bison Rising Reloaded operates across a 6-reel structure with a variable 2-7 row configuration, creating up to 117,649 ways to win on each spin. The game sits on the higher end of the volatility spectrum at medium-high, meaning wins arrive with moderate frequency but carry substantial value when they land. The core mechanic is underpinned by Blueprint Gaming’s signature approach–emphasising feature-driven gameplay over relentless base game wins.

Base game activity centres on two key systems: the Cascading Reels mechanic removes winning symbols and allows new ones to drop into place, creating potential for consecutive wins from a single spin. Complementing this are Mystery Symbols, which appear randomly and transform to match paying symbols, adding unpredictable elements to standard spins. The Megaways mechanic itself is flexible–the variable rows mean you’re not locked into a fixed number of ways, so each spin can generate different win configurations. The Bison wild symbol appears on the tracker reel (positioned above the main reels) and substitutes for all paying symbols.

Feature Triggers

Free spins are triggered by landing scatter symbols on the main reels. The trigger threshold is generous: 4 scatters award 15 free spins, 5 scatters award 19 spins, 6 scatters award 23 spins, and 7 scatters trigger 27 spins. This scaling encourages chasing the maximum scatter count, and the reward progression is transparent enough that players understand the incentive.

Bison Rising Reloaded Free Spins

The free spins round is where Bison Rising Reloaded truly distinguishes itself. During this phase, a global win multiplier increases by +1 after each cascade win–meaning the multiplier climbs infinitely as you chain wins together. This unlimited progression is the primary driver of the 25,000x maximum win potential. Retriggering is possible: landing 3 scatter symbols on the tracker reel awards +5 additional spins, whilst 4 scatters award +10 additional spins.

Gamble Feature

The standout innovation here is the pre-bonus Gamble Feature. Before entering free spins, players can choose to gamble on three separate wheels. Each wheel offers different customisations: one awards up to 30 extra free spins, another sets a starting multiplier value up to 10x, and the third guarantees a minimum of 117,649 Megaways (locking in the maximum ways configuration). Players can gamble on any combination of these wheels, or skip the feature entirely and accept the base free spins award. This customisation layer adds genuine strategic depth–experienced players can push their bonus round composition in high-reward directions, though the mechanics of each wheel mean maxing out all three options simultaneously is extremely difficult and rare.

Bonus Buy & Ante Bet

Players who prefer direct access to the bonus round can purchase free spins. Four purchase tiers are available: 8 spins at 32x bet, 12 spins at 70x bet, 19 spins at 175x bet, or 27 spins at 350x bet. The cost-to-spin ratio encourages purchasing the maximum 27-spin package if you’re buying in, making the feature accessible for players keen to skip base game grinding.

Our Honest Verdict

Bison Rising Reloaded is a high-volatility Megaways slot designed specifically for risk-tolerant players who appreciate feature-heavy gameplay and strategic decision-making during bonus rounds. The Gamble Feature genuinely distinguishes it from the crowded Megaways landscape–allowing players to customise their free spins experience is uncommon and creates meaningful replay variety. The unlimited multiplier progression and 25,000x maximum win potential provide legitimate big-win appeal. The North American wilderness theme with majestic bison and wildlife symbols executes competently, delivering a familiar aesthetic that lands well with players who enjoyed the original Bison Rising.

However, this game isn’t universally appealing. The medium-high volatility means base game wins arrive less frequently–expect longer dry spells between bonus triggers. The Gamble Feature, whilst innovative, introduces a psychological risk layer: players choosing to gamble on the wheels must be comfortable with the possibility of outcome variability and potential frustration when wheel results don’t align with hopes. This isn’t a gentle, accessible slot; it’s built for experienced players with adequate bankrolls who understand and accept volatility.

For whom it’s ideal: Experienced Megaways enthusiasts, high-volatility chasers, Blueprint Gaming fans, and players who enjoyed the original Bison Rising or similar Reloaded-series games. Best avoided: Conservative players, those uncomfortable with risk-based gamble mechanics, and anyone seeking consistent base game wins or lower volatility.
