Book of Blarney Gigablox – Slot Symbols and Their Values

Book of Blarney Gigablox has 4 High and Low-paying symbols in play, with the highest-paying symbol capable of producing wins of 10x your bet for a full 5-line win.

Low-paying symbols are standard A, K, Q, and J. While Jacks can deliver wins of 1.6x your bet, Aces can produce wins of up to 2x your bet for a full 5-line win. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Book Scatters, and cay pay anywhere from 1x to 20x your bet for a 3 to 5-line win.

Book of Blarney Gigablox – Paylines and How to Get Them

Winning combinations are created when 3 or more identical symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Book of Blarney Gigablox has 40 active pay lines, extending to 100 active pay lines during Free Spins.

Gigablox

Gigablox symbols are special oversized symbols that function like regular symbols in a 2×2-6×6 formation. When a Gigablox symbol is part of a win, it will transform into regular-sized symbols and pay. Book Scatters can also land as Gigablox symbols.

Book of Blarney Gigablox RTP & Volatility – Hot or Not?

Book of Blarney Gigablox has a theoretical RTP of 96.00%. However, this game also offers lower RTP levels of 94.00% and 90.5%. Be sure to check the available RTP level with your chosen Casino before you commit.

In terms of Volatility, Book of Blarney Gigablox is considered a highly volatile slot. This means that frequent wins will potentially occur over a longer time frame, yet the risk is greater short term. Book of Blarney Gigablox is also fitted with a max win cap of 10,368x.

Book of Blarney Gigablox Special Features

Besides the Gigablox mechanic, Book of Blarney Gigablox has no distinguishable features in the base game. There is however a Lucky Bet feature and Bonus Buy option for those with access.

Lucky Bet

Before or after any game round, you can choose to activate the Lucky Bet feature for an additional 50% of your current bet. Once active, your chances of triggering one of the Bonus rounds are greatly increased.

Bonus Buy

Players within Bonus Buy territory can buy their way into 1 of 3 Bonus rounds for a set price per bet.

  • Free Spins – 100x your bet.
  • Lucky Coins – 60x your bet.
  • Water Wheel – 40x your bet.

Online Slots UK are devoid of such options, however, either of these rounds is still available to players through regular gameplay.

Book of Blarney Gigablox Bonus Rounds & Free Spins

Book of Blarney Gigablox has 3 Bonus rounds up for grabs, triggered when 6 or more Book Scatters land during the base game. Once active, Free Spins, Lucky Coins, or the Water Wheel bonus is awarded at random.

Water Wheel Bonus

When the Water Wheel bonus is active, the number of triggering Scatters equals the number of Spins awarded. At the start of the round, you are given a choice between 2 Multiplier Wheels, each varying in Volatility.

On each spin, a Mushroom is to be selected to reveal a Cash Prize. Your chosen Water Wheel will spin, and a Multiplier value will be selected. The two values are then multiplied together to add to the accumulating win.

Lucky Coins Bonus

Upon entry into the Lucky Coins bonus, each triggering Scatter will transform into a special Coin symbol that rotates to reveal a Cash Prize or Pot name. Larger Scatters transform into bigger Coins with on average larger rewards.

Each Coin symbol will lock into position, and 3 Lives are granted. Positions that do not have Coins will spin and result in either a Blank or a new Coin. Each spin deducts a life, however, each new Coin will reset the Lives back to 3. Filling the entire grid with Coins will automatically award the Mega Pot which is added to the accumulated values in view.

Free Spins

When the Free Spins round has been awarded, the number of triggering Scatters equals the number of starting Free Spins. Each winning spin will award an additional +2 Free Spins, up to a maximum of 8.

In the spin following a win, the reels will expand by +1 row, adding 15 additional pay lines into the mix, up to a maximum of 8 rows and 100 pay lines.

Pros and Cons of Book of Blarney Gigablox

Pros:

  • Lucky Bet and Bonus Buy options.
  • Variety of Bonus rounds.
  • Multiple betting options, above-average RTP, and generous max win cap of 10,368x.

Cons:

  • Overused Irish theme.
  • When the Bonus is triggered, you don’t get a choice in which Bonus round is awarded.
  • Lack of base game features.

Conclusion

The Gigablox feature has substantially enhanced the appeal of many a game before Book of Blarney, and we can see how those with a soft spot for the green hills of Ireland might find appeal in Reflex Gaming’s offering.

However, we do have some complaints. Book of Blarney offers 3 different bonus rounds, all of which are triggered by landing 6 or more Book symbols in view. In our opinion, the Water Wheel and Lucky Coins feature may have been better as random modifiers instead, considering neither of them is as exciting as the actual Free Spins round.

Nonetheless, the Water Wheel and Lucky Coin features have potential, and this is especially true of the Lucky Coins feature where the Jackpots are a possibility.

At its best, Book of Blarney is supposedly capable of up to 10,368x the bet. This is appealing and in line with many other games out at the moment, but we’re unsure of how possible it really is in a non-simulated spin.

Overall, Book of Blarney isn’t the best Irish or even Gigablox game, but we can see the potential, and we understand the appeal.
