Bounty Raid Slot Review
Riders sit soft in the orange haze on either side of a dark carved cabinet, its longhorn skull and crossed-rifles star keeping watch over five reels of frontier. Red Tiger have made Bounty Raid a slot where the paytable barely matters. The ordinary symbols top out at 8x, and every win worth chasing is a wanted man whose bounty stays frozen on the reels until the law turns up to pay it out.
It’s a patient, deliberate sort of game, one that treats spinning as the interval between arrests. Bounty Raid plays out on a 5×3 grid with 10 win lines, a 95.71% RTP, a 1,022x maximum win and stakes from 0.10 to 50 per spin. It shares its stretch of desert with The Good, The Bad, and The Rich and Last Chance Saloon, though neither of those makes the arrest the point of the exercise.
How the Base Game Pays
All symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost one, and every value below is a multiple of the total bet rather than the line bet. There’s no wild symbol in Bounty Raid. The regular symbols do the everyday work while the wanted men wait for their moment.
The paytable splits into two halves. Card suits prop up the bottom of it, and above them sit the frontier pieces, from boots and a saddle up to crossed guns and a treasure chest. Nine symbols in total, none of them worth writing home about on their own.
- Treasure Chest – 8x for five, 4x for four, 2x for three
- Crossed Guns – 6x for five, 3x for four, 1.5x for three
- Saddle – 5x for five, 2.5x for four, 1.2x for three
- Hat – 4x for five, 2x for four, 1x for three
- Boots – 3x for five, 1.5x for four, 0.8x for three
- Spade – 2.5x for five, 1.2x for four, 0.6x for three
- Heart – 2x for five, 1x for four, 0.4x for three
- Diamond – 1.5x for five, 0.6x for four, 0.3x for three
- Club – 1x for five, 0.4x for four, 0.2x for three
Those line wins aren’t where the money lives. The best regular symbol pays 8x the total bet, which tells you the real action is elsewhere: in the bounty system that fills the reels with wanted men and their going rates.
Wins of any kind land on roughly a quarter of spins, at a 23.76% hit frequency. That leaves long stretches where nothing collects, and the reel set has a job to do in between: showing the outlaws, showing their prices, and letting the tension build towards the next arrest.
The Bounty System
Bandits
Bandits are scatter symbols carrying listed rewards, and several can land on the same spin. Each one shows its prize as a cash value tied to your stake, but none of it pays on landing. A Bandit only settles its bounty when a Sheriff or a Bounty Hunter shows up on the same spin.
That’s the tension of the base game in a single rule. Every wanted man on the reels is a debt the game hasn’t paid yet, and the only question is whether the law arrives before he drifts back off the board.
- Bandit 1 – holds between 1x and 3x the stake
- Bandit 2 – holds between 4x and 10x the stake
- Bandit 3 – holds between 11x and 20x the stake
- Bandit 4 – holds between 21x and 35x the stake
- Bandit 5 – holds between 36x and 50x the stake
Each of the five tiers has a maximum bounty it can carry, and the tiers step up sharply from one to the next. A board carrying Bandit 1 next to Bandit 5 is carrying very different sums of money.
That spread is what gives a respin its stakes. Landing a fresh Bandit is always good news, but landing one from the top tier changes what the round is worth. Every extra spin is a chance at a bigger name joining the board.
Sheriff
The Sheriff is a non-paying scatter that can appear on any reel except the middle one, and only one can be on the reels at a time. When he lands, he activates every Bandit currently visible and awards their combined prizes in one go.
It’s the simple version of the collection: no respins, no waiting, just a straight payout of everything on the board.
The Bounty Hunter Respin
The Bounty Hunter is the feature this game hangs its hat on. It’s a non-paying 1×2 scatter that appears only on the middle reel, and only one can ever be in play. When it lands, it locks every Bandit in place and starts a respin sequence in which only Bandits and the Golden Coin can appear on the reels.
From there the round runs itself, one step at a time:
- The Bounty Hunter locks all visible Bandits and awards a respin.
- Any new Bandit that lands locks in place too and triggers another respin.
- Any Golden Coin that lands raises the prize of every Bandit on the reels, then triggers another respin.
- When a respin brings nothing new, the combined prize of all locked Bandits is paid out.
The Golden Coin only exists inside this feature, and it’s what turns a decent round into a good one. Each one that lands increases the prize of every Bandit currently visible, so the total climbs even when no new outlaw joins the board.
A single respin chain can quietly stack five wanted men and then sweeten all of them at once. That’s the ceiling of what the feature can do, and it’s a long way from where it starts.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Sitting down at this saloon means accepting that most spins are the pause between bounties. The line wins are pocket change, the wanted men do the real work, and the pleasure of the game is watching a payout you can see coming slowly get bigger. Nobody plays Bounty Raid for the reels. They play it for the arrest.
At its best, the respin chain is genuinely tense: five locked outlaws, a total climbing with every coin, and the round refusing to end while the money keeps growing. The problem is what it’s all building towards. A 1,022x ceiling is a thin reward for a game that takes this long to pay, and even the fattest Bandit on the board only carries 50x on his own.
For players who enjoy watching a sum grow in plain sight, and who’d rather see a win coming than be surprised by one, this frontier town is worth the stop. Chasers of bigger jackpots will find the bounty here too small to be worth the wait, and they should keep riding.
