Base Game & Features
Unlike a traditional reel set, Cash in Transit is set on the back of a van with 5-7 reels and 20-28 positions marked with an X. This game does not feature pay lines, ways to win, or regular paytable symbols. Players can choose from a variety of betting options between £.€0.10 and £.€100 per spin, operating an overall RTP of 96% and a sizable max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
Cash in Transit does not facilitate any base game features or Bonus Buy options, saving all the action for the Bonus Game. The base game is stripped of regular symbols, leaving only Bonus Scatters and Special symbols available to land. Will you be laughing all the way to the bank?
Bonus Game
Landing 3 or more Bonus Scatters in the base game triggers the Bonus Game, awarding 3 Respins. Certain Special symbols that land on the triggering spin will carry over to the Bonus Game.
During this round, the following Special symbols can appear on the reels:
- Cash Bag: Reveals Cash Prizes between 1 and 10.
- Bag Man: Collects all visible Cash Prizes and adds them to its own value.
- Bag Man/Money Man: Chooses 3-5 symbols as targets and adds their respective values to its own, paying out its updated value to each of the targeted symbols.
- Lock Smith: Doubles the value of 3-8 alternative symbols and may act on the same symbol several times.
- Gov’Nor: Revives up to 7 Persistent symbols and may act on the same symbol several times.
- Detective: Chooses 1 symbol at random and doubles its value between 2 and 6 times.
- Pawn Broker: Gathers all Cash Bags and removes them from the reels. Please note, that Feature symbols will remain on the reels.
- Constable: Reveals a coin value between 5 and 100, adding its value to a random symbol up to 10 times.
- Persistent Bag Man: Behaves in the same manner as regular Bag Man symbols, only it remains active for the remainder of Respins.
- Persistent Lock Smith: Offers the same functionality as a regular Lock Smith, only it remains active for the remainder of Respins.
- Persistent Bag Man/ Money Man: Uses the same mannerisms as a regular Bag Man/Money Man symbol, only it persists throughout Respins.
- Persistent Gov’Nor: Revives between 1 and 7 Feature symbols and may act on the same symbol several times.
- Persistent Attack Dog: Transforms into a different Feature symbol when it appears on the reels.
When a new Feature symbol or Cash Bag hits, the Respins counter resets to 3. If an entire reel is filled with special symbols, an additional reel will unlock to the left or right of the main reel set.

Our Verdict
After parting ways with the much-loved Money Train and Money Cart series, Relax Gaming has turned their attention to different scenarios that utilise similar mechanics and functions, as witnessed in Money Sleigh. Coming to terms with the end of the Money Train and Money Cart series was a tough pill to swallow, but thankfully, Relax Gaming has kept certain elements of gameplay alive in Cash in Transit, and others like it.
Cash in Transit has an all-year-round appeal, where the rewards certainly outweigh the risks. The base game is particularly dry in comparison to traditional slots, but it soon makes up for this by locking in many exciting elements and feature symbols in the Bonus Game.
With the exclusion of regular symbols, each spin offers many opportunities to land multiple Bonus Scatters. Once the Bonus Game is active, Cash Prizes and Feature symbols fill the reels to award enhanced payouts to the tune of 10,000x your bet. By filling up to 2 reels with special symbols, you will unlock a further +2 reels for a chance to land additional feature symbols and Cash Prizes.
