Corporation Wars Slot Review
A grinning fox in a gold tie surveys a corner office, waiting for the market to open. Corporation Wars runs its reels inside an open laptop on a boardroom desk, candlestick charts flickering on the flatscreens either side of a comic-book logo that shouts over the red curtains. The office shtick isn’t skin-deep either: this corporate-warfare parody from Kitsune Studios builds its whole structure around the joke of assembling assets before making a move.
It’s a 5×4 ways game running at 96.3% RTP, with a maximum win of 12,500x the bet. It sits alongside Henry 8th Calves of Steel and The Jack & Rose in the studio’s catalogue. Whether the long boardroom build pays off like a merger or a bust is what the rest of this comes down to.
Base Game & Features
The setting is a corporate power struggle rendered in bright, flat cartooning with bold outlines and pop-art halftone flashes. Reels, keyboard and trackpad all belong to the one laptop, and the fox executive watches every spin from the right-hand edge. It commits to the bit, and the bit is hostile takeovers.
Wins form the ways-game way: matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left, with no fixed number of ways stated for the game. The 5×4 grid gives four rows of room for that to happen. No paytable values are given per symbol, so what each combination pays shows itself in play rather than up front.
The Wild substitutes for every symbol in the paytable except the FS Scatter, and it can only land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. That’s its whole job in the base game. The interesting symbols arrive later, through the build-up system.
Three of those symbols only exist inside the feature system, and each does one job:
- Sticky Wild – awarded during the Corporation Pre-Bonus; locks in place and stays fixed for the whole Corporation Spin or bonus game
- Mystery symbol – awarded during the Pre-Bonus; reveals the same symbol type as every other Mystery symbol when the reels stop
- Corporation Multiplier – built during the Pre-Bonus; multiplies all wins from the Corporation Spin or bonus games
A fourth, the FS Corporation symbol, appears only during Pre-Bonus phases that run inside the free spin games. It awards +1, +2 or +3 additional free spins, and nothing else.
Corporation Wars Bonus Features & Free Spins
Corporation Pre-Bonus
Landing a Corporation Trigger symbol, or 3, 4 or 5 FS Scatter symbols, kicks off the Corporation Pre-Bonus. A dedicated Corporation reel then spins five times, building the setup the main event will run with. Everything awarded stacks up across the phase.
Each of those five spins can award a combination of the following:
- Corporation Multiplier increases: x1, x2, x3, x5, x10 or x25
- Additional Sticky Wild symbols: +1, +2 or +3
- Additional Mystery symbols: +1, +2, +3, +5 or +10
Those awards interact, and the order they land in doesn’t matter. A Sticky Wild drop early in the phase sits on the reels for everything that follows; a multiplier increase late in the phase counts exactly as much as one on the first spin. Only the totals carry through, never the sequence.
During Pre-Bonus phases inside the free spin games, the FS Corporation symbol joins the reel. Once the phase ends, the Corporation Spin or free spins begin using the generated setup.
Corporation Spin
The Corporation Spin follows straight on from the Pre-Bonus, and it plays out in a fixed order:
- All awarded Sticky Wilds are placed onto the reels, where they stay fixed for the duration
- Mystery symbols land as the reels spin
- When the reels stop, every Mystery symbol reveals the same symbol type
- All wins are multiplied by the final Corporation Multiplier accumulated during the build-up
That last step is the one that matters. The multiplier applies to everything the spin or bonus game pays, so the same winning combination is worth x1 at the bottom of the scale and x25 at the top.
Trademark Trouble
Three FS Scatter symbols trigger Trademark Trouble, which awards 10 free spins. The base game mechanics carry over with additions. Before the feature begins, five Corporation Pre-Bonus spins build the starting setup.
That build-up phase works the same way as the standalone version, with one difference: the FS Corporation symbol joins the reel, and FS Scatter symbols cannot land during the phase. What you build is what you get.
Full Rebrand
Four FS Scatter symbols trigger Full Rebrand. It also awards 10 free spins, keeping every mechanic from Trademark Trouble and the base game. The difference is scale: 10 Corporation Pre-Bonus spins instead of five.
Double the build-up means double the attempts at multipliers, sticky wilds and mystery seeds before a single free spin plays. The ceiling on the phase doesn’t change, only how many chances you get at raising it.
Hidden Super Epic Kitsune Studios
Five FS Scatter symbols trigger the top tier, Hidden Super Epic Kitsune Studios. Again 10 free spins, again the same mechanics, but now with 15 Corporation Pre-Bonus spins to build the setup. The name is a mouthful; the intent is clear.
Put side by side, the three tiers differ on exactly one axis:
- Trademark Trouble – 3 FS Scatters, 10 free spins, 5 Pre-Bonus spins
- Full Rebrand – 4 FS Scatters, 10 free spins, 10 Pre-Bonus spins
- Hidden Super Epic Kitsune Studios – 5 FS Scatters, 10 free spins, 15 Pre-Bonus spins
Fifteen build-up spins is three times the Trademark Trouble allowance, and it’s the only place the game’s three bonus modes genuinely diverge. Same round, very different runway into it.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
Corporation Wars is a game of two speeds, and it knows it. The base game is a pleasant enough boardroom cartoon that mostly exists to hunt scatters, while the real action is crammed into that Pre-Bonus reel, where five spins decide whether your free spins arrive as a startup or a conglomerate. The design puts almost all of its character into the build-up, and the escalating bonus tiers are a clean way to reward deeper scatter landings.
Its strength is that the three bonus modes aren’t reskins: 5, 10 and 15 build-up spins produce genuinely different setups, and a lucky Corporation reel can stack sticky wilds, mystery symbols and a x25 multiplier into one round. Its weakness is the flat structure between bonuses. Ten free spins is ten free spins whichever tier you reach, and the game rests entirely on the quality of the setup rather than anything happening during the spins themselves.
This suits players who enjoy a long build and don’t need the bonus round itself to surprise them, and the corporate-parody skin is done with real commitment. Hostile takeover complete; the shareholders will like the memo.
