Dead Gun Slot Review
Nothing in this corner of the West looks especially troubled by the gunfire, least of all the rat dozing away at the top right of the reels. Dead Gun is a cartoony, gritty little ghost town from 7Rings Gaming, scored the way a classic Western should be.
Underneath the sepia it’s a 5×5 grid with 20 fixed paylines, an RTP of 96.09% and high volatility, landing a win on 27.46% of spins. The 96.09% RTP sits where the rest of the catalogue sits, with Mouse Ananza running slightly higher at 96.13%.
The ceiling is 20,000x, the biggest number the studio has taken aim at so far: Mayan Apocalypto stops at 15,000x.
This isn’t the studio’s first trip out west, either, since Book of Wild West already covers that ground. Now let’s saddle up and see what loot this shooter has to offer…

Base Game & Features
Dead Gun runs on a 5×5 grid with 20 fixed paylines. Stakes run from 0.20 up to 100 a spin, and the paylines are fixed, so there’s no line count to fiddle with before you start.
The Revolver is the star of the show in this case.
Every Wild in Dead Gun is solely created by the Revolver. Nothing else on the grid produces one, and they can’t appear naturally, either. As you might expect, Wilds substitute for all paying symbols except the Scatter.

The Revolver
The Revolver lands on the reels loaded with bullets and fires them into the grid, turning the positions it hits into Wilds. Each of those Wilds carries a multiplier value.
It doesn’t sit still, either. On every spin the Revolver drops down one row, and it keeps dropping until it leaves the game field altogether. It turns up in both the base game and the Bonus Game.

Bullet Tiers and Stacking Multipliers
The metal a bullet is made from sets the multiplier it awards:
- Iron: 2x to 5x
- Silver: 6x to 10x
- Copper: 11x to 25x
- Dark Gold: 26x to 50x
- Gold: 51x and above
Where a bullet hits a Wild that’s already on the grid, its value is added to the multiplier sitting there rather than replacing it. Stacked values carry into the next spin, shifting down a row as the Revolver does.
Dead Gun Bonus Game
Three or more Scatter symbols trigger the Bonus Game. The Revolver behaves in there exactly as it does in the base game, dropping a row a spin and leaving multiplier Wilds behind it. The main addition is the Drum.
The Drum Symbol
The Drum appears only during the Bonus Game. When a Revolver shot hits one, three things happen together:
- The Drum is converted into a Wild
- Every Revolver, Wild and multiplier position on the reels shifts up one row
- One extra free spin is added to the count
That upward shift runs against the Revolver’s usual descent, keeping it on the grid for longer, and anything already banked in multipliers travels up the reels with it.

Bonus Buys and Boosters
Five purchase options sit alongside the reels, split between boosters that improve your odds on the next spin and buys that open the Bonus Game outright:
- FS Booster 5x (3x stake): multiplies the chance of Bonus Game Scatters landing on the next spin by five
- Game Booster (50x stake): improves the chance of a Revolver landing with higher multipliers
- Outlaw Payday (100x stake): starts the Bonus Game with 10 free spins
- Coin Grab (250x stake): starts the Bonus Game with 12 free spins
- Mega Heist (500x stake): starts the Bonus Game with 15 free spins
Every price is a multiple of whatever you’re staking, so the 100x buy costs 20 at the 0.20 minimum and 10,000 if you’ve pushed the bet to the top of its range.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Dead Gun certainly isn’t pulling any punches, although it does make you work for the good stuff. The base game can feel a little like watching tumbleweeds roll when the Revolver refuses to show up, but when it does arrive, things suddenly get a whole lot more interesting.
The six-shooter Revolver is easily the highlight with each bullet leaving behind a multiplier Wild that can keep stacking when the Revolver comes back around. Watching those values build as it slowly descends down the reels gives the base game something to aim for, even if the high volatility means you have to sit through a few quieter spins.
The Bonus Game is where Dead Gun really finds its stride. The Drum gives the Revolver a helping hand by shifting everything back up the reels and adding another free spin, giving those multiplier Wilds more time to build. Our Outlaw Payday produced the best result of the session, while Mega Heist was a bit more of a dud, with 10 of its 15 spins running dead before the final five hit the bullseye.
With a 20,000x max win, plenty of multiplier potential and Bonus Buys reaching a hefty 500x stake, Dead Gun is clearly aimed at players who don’t mind putting a few chips on the line in search of a bigger bounty. The Boosters are a nice touch too, giving you a couple of ways to tip the odds in your favour.
There’s enough here to make Dead Gun a worthwhile ride for high-volatility fans. But when the Revolver starts firing and those multipliers begin stacking, Dead Gun proves this Wild West has plenty of life left in it.
