Epic SixSixSix

Epic SixSixSix Slot Review

A cracked slate wall lit from behind by turquoise lightning, two pot-bellied cartoon imps grinning in from either side, and a chalk-scrawled oval ring with a “66” gouged into the stone. Epic SixSixSix wears that rubber-hose cartooning well, but the look isn’t the point: this is a slot where the paytable is a decoy, and everything worth winning arrives on wheels instead of lines. It’s a bolder bet than it sounds, because it asks you to sit through a thin base game for the privilege. The follow-up to SixSixSix sits at the devilish end of the Hacksaw Gaming catalogue, alongside Hounds of Hell and Deal With Death.

Its argument is that a wheel slot can be built as a descent. Each bonus tier strips away the safety rails of the one below it, and by the top tier every spin is a fresh wheel. It runs at 96.27% RTP on a 5×4 grid with 14 predefined paylines, paying adjacent reels left to right from the leftmost reel.

Base Game & Features

The base game is a straightforward line payer, and a sparse one. Only the highest combination on each line counts. Without a “6” symbol in view, most spins are just the paytable doing its quiet work.

The paytable is compact, with a rock hand sign on top and five low-paying curios propping up the bottom:

• Rock Hand Sign: 5x for three, 15x for four, 50x for five
• Wolf Head (grey or dark): 2x for three, 5x for four, 15x for five
• Ink Bottle / Skull: 1x for three, 3x for four, 10x for five
• Wrench, Axe, Cassette Tape, Mortar and Pestle, Book: 0.2x for three, 1x for four, 3x for five

Five rock hands at the top stake returns 50x. Not spectacular. But the base game isn’t really where Epic SixSixSix keeps its interest.

Wicked Wheels

Everything routes through the “6” symbol. Blue and red “6” symbols can land only on reels one, three and five, one per reel. When one lands, it activates a Wicked Wheel, which spins and awards whatever the arrow stops on. If several wheels activate at once, their values are collected left to right.

Only Blue Wicked Wheels appear in the base game, and a blue wheel’s slices hold:

• The max win
• Adding multipliers: 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x
• Multiplying multipliers: x2, x3, x4, x5, x10
• A free-spins trigger in the form of another “6” symbol

Red Wicked Wheels

Red “6” symbols activate the Red Wicked Wheel, the meaner sibling. Its slices hold:

• The max win
• Adding multipliers: 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x
• Multiplying multipliers: x3, x4, x5, x10, x15, x20
• A 5x adding multiplier

Red wheels don’t appear in the base game. They belong to the bonuses, where every wheel that lands is the meaner version.

Symbols and Style

The ink bottles, skulls and occult clutter of the low pays belong to the same scrawled-stone world as the imps framing the reels. Even the cassette tape and the wrench look like props from a ritual somebody cobbled together. It’s a cartoon of damnation played for grins rather than dread.

Epic SixSixSix Bonus Features

The bonus ladder is three tiers deep, each one triggered by a “6” symbol landing on Wicked Wheels in the base game:

• One “6” on a wheel: Speak of the Devil
• “6” symbols on two wheels at once: Let Hell Break Loose!
• “6” symbols on three wheels at once: What the Hell

Speak of the Devil

This tier awards 10 free spins with an increased chance of both red and blue wheels appearing. One restriction applies: the “6” symbol can’t appear on blue wheels during this bonus, so you can’t retrigger your way up the ladder from here.

Let Hell Break Loose!

The second tier also awards 10 free spins, but blue wheels vanish entirely. Every wheel that lands is red, with those 10x to 500x adding multipliers and up to x20 multipliers on offer.

What the Hell

The top tier doesn’t bother with spin counts. Every spin guarantees a fresh Wicked Wheel, and blue wheels don’t appear at all. Whatever the reels serve up, a wheel lands on top of it.

Deal with the Devil

Between tiers sits a gamble. After either of the two lower bonuses triggers, a Deal Wheel is offered, with the following slices:

• 5, 8, 12, 16, 20: changes your free spins count to that figure, up or down, though never below the ten you started with
• “6”: upgrades the whole bonus a tier

The upgrade path runs from Speak of the Devil to Let Hell Break Loose!, and from there to What the Hell. The offer comes once per bonus level, and it isn’t made at all for What the Hell, which needs no improvement.

Bonus Buy & FeatureSpins

A BUY BONUS button sits in the bottom-left corner of the base-game frame. Through it, FeatureSpins can be purchased at a cost tied to your current bet level, and they guarantee that certain features land while they’re active. They stay on until switched off.

There’s also a HIGH-ROLLER FEATURESPINS option, and its terms are stark: a one-in-eleven chance of hitting the max win, which is 20,666x the bet.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 7.7/10

Playing Epic SixSixSix is mostly patience with a payoff at the bottom. You sit in the base game, wait for the right sixes, and the game’s whole personality switches on the moment one lands. That’s the reason to pick it: the wheel, not the reels. The imps and the chalk ring give the waiting somewhere reasonably charming to happen.

The ladder is the best thing here, because each tier genuinely changes what you’re playing rather than just adding spins. Going up means red wheels only, and at the top a guaranteed wheel on every spin, so escalation is felt rather than announced. The worst is the base game it makes you sit through: only blue wheels turn up there, and five rock hands pay just 50x.

It suits players who like a build and are happy to wait for it, and SixSixSix fans will feel at home immediately. Anyone who plays for the paytable itself will find it slim pickings. For everyone else, the devils have done a decent job of making the wait worth it.
