Whether they knew it would be or not, the Gates of Olympus series quickly became one of Pragmatic Play’s headline franchises. It began with the original Gates of Olympus before expanding into Gates of Olympus 1000 and Super Scatter, along with inspired spin-offs like Wisdom of Athena 1000 and a wave of non-Pragmatic titles trying to recreate its success.
Seemingly, nobody can replicate Zeus’ formidable presence. Now he is back once again for Pragmatic’s next major release, Fortune of Olympus. It mixes innovation with familiarity in the same way that helped this series stand out in the first place. Base Game & Features
Fortune of Olympus is a highly volatile 7×7 video slot operating alongside a Cluster Pays mechanic. All paytable symbols in clusters of 5-49 trigger winning combinations on the grid, either horizontally or vertically adjacent.
The Lightning Bolt is the game’s highest-paying symbol, followed by the Ring, Helmet, Chalice, and Red, Purple, & Green Gems. At the end of each base game spin, all winning clusters in view will award a fixed payout between 0.2x and 150x your bet.
Due to the nature of gameplay, Wild symbols are not included in the paytable. However, landing a minimum of 4 Scatters in the base game will instantly trigger the Free Spins mode.
Once the grid settles and all winning clusters are paid out, the Avalanche Feature destroys all winning symbols, allowing new symbols to drop in from above. This enables additional winning clusters to be created in the same spin.
Multiplier Symbols
Throughout gameplay, special Multiplier symbols can randomly fall in alongside paytable symbols. Once in view, each Multiplier symbol reveals a random value, between 2x and 500x your bet, from a predefined set.

Our Honest Verdict
Fortune of Olympus feels like the next logical step for a series that has already cemented itself as one of Pragmatic Play’s defining achievements. In our opinion, it improves on the original in almost every meaningful way.
One frustration we always had with Gates of Olympus was how the Global Multiplier would only spring into action if another Multiplier symbol landed. That limitation is now gone. The Global Multiplier applies at all times, which is a significant quality of life upgrade and makes the bonus feel far more consistent and rewarding.
Another noticeable step forward is the sheer number of Ante Bet options. Pragmatic Play has leaned more heavily into feature bets here. They can be costly, but the guaranteed multipliers and guaranteed values based on the level chosen add a real jolt of excitement and control for players who like to shape their gameplay experience.
The shift to cluster pays is another stark contrast to the original scatter pays system. We will refrain from calling it better or worse because that is purely a matter of personal taste, but it is refreshing to see genuine variation rather than a simple reskin of a proven formula.
No doubt we will see Super Scatter and 1000 style variations of Fortune of Olympus in the future, and we will welcome them with open arms. It is a very playable slot with a solid 10,000x win potential that gives it enough punch to stand proudly within the Olympus family.
All in all, Fortune of Olympus successfully moves the series forward, keeping the unmistakable spirit of Gates alive while offering a more modern, flexible and engaging way to experience Zeus at work.
