Wilds and Multiplier Wilds

Wilds and Multiplier Wilds substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable. Regular Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 during both the base game and Free Spins round.

x2 Multiplier Wilds can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 during the base game only. Up to 3 x2 Multiplier Wilds can appear on the reels at the same time. Multiple x2 Wilds will multiply each other to give an overall Multiplier of x8.

Halloween Horrors Megaways Free Spins

The Free Spins round is triggered when 4+ Consecutive Wins are reached during any random spin in the base game. 4 Cascades award 8 Free Spins, plus an additional +2 Free Spins for every winning cascade after, up to a maximum of 14 Free Spins in total.

During Free Spins, each win that occurs will award an additional +x1 to the Global Win Multiplier that stays for the remainder of Free Spins. In addition to this, reels that reach 7 symbols high will be locked at that number of symbols for the remaining Free Spins.

When a reel locks, it will award an additional +1 additional Multiplier. On the last Free Spin, a locked reel will award +1 additional Free Spin.

Free Spins can be retriggered by reaching 4+ Consecutive Wins in any one spin. Each winning cascade after the 4th will award an additional +2 Free Spins, up to a maximum of 14 in total.

Halloween Horrors Megaways: Our Verdict

With Halloween being a highly celebrated event each year, has Iron Dog Studios done it justice in Halloween of Horrors Megaways?

There are pros and cons to be seen here. Iron Dog Studios has hit the nail on the head in terms of graphics and design, but it falls short in features and mechanics.

Many Providers like to push Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic to new limits with catchy features, but it seems Iron Dog Studios didn’t get the memo.

There isn’t much going for the base game, other than focusing on hitting 4+ consecutive wins to land yourselves Free Spins. Hell, we would’ve taken Mystery symbols even though they are the same old recycled feature.

Talking of Free Spins, Iron Dog Studios has kept to their usual 7 symbols high, locked reel feature seen in countless other titles. This feature isn’t terrible by any means, but if Iron Dog Studios are to continue mass-producing it in their slots, they need to add a little something extra to spice it up.

It’s a shame really considering the potential there is to be had here in terms of max win. When Halloween Horrors Megaways gets going, it can deliver max wins of up to 25,000x.

All in all, Halloween Horrors Megaways may look scary on the outside, but underneath its scary shell, it’s pretty tame.
