Base Game & Features

Pantheon Multipliers

At both ends of the main reel set, Pantheon Multipliers are displayed. When a winning combination originating from a specific row occurs, the assigned Multiplier will apply to the winning pay line.

The leftmost Multipliers will alter to display new values during each spin. When a win occurs via high-paying symbols, the assigned Multiplier will remain the same during the Respin feature. The leftmost Pantheon Multipliers reveal values between x1 and x100.

Alternatively, the rightmost Multipliers are hidden behind question marks until a winning pay line of 5 matching symbols crosses the reels. When such a win occurs, the assigned Multipliers between x2 and x20 will remain the same during Respins.

At the end of a spin, the active Multiplier from the leftmost reel will be multiplied by the revealed Multipliers from the rightmost reel to create a Total Multiplier, which is then applied to the winning pay line.

Olympian Respins

During gameplay, when a win occurs with any combination of High-paying or Wild symbols, they will stick to the reels via a Respin Feature. This continues so long as additional high-paying symbols hit, including new combinations of high-paying symbols.

Please note that combinations of Low-paying symbols do not stick during Respins.

During this feature, all wins involving Low-paying symbols are awarded instantly, while all high-paying wins are applied at the end of the Respins feature. If a win is produced with 5+ Wild symbols, it will be paid out twice, once when the win hits and again after the Respin feature ends.

Invictus Free Spins

Landing 3 FS Scatters in the base game will grant you access to the Temple of Jupiter bonus, awarding 10 Free Spins.

This bonus continues to exert the same mechanics from the base game, only with an increased chance of triggering higher Multipliers. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins, respectively.

Immortal Gains

Alternatively, landing 4 FS Scatters during a base game spin will trigger the Immortal Gains bonus, awarding 10 Free Spins.

This bonus guarantees the same mechanics found in the Temple of Jupiter feature, only with an even greater chance of triggering higher Multipliers. Furthermore, all leftmost Pantheon Multipliers will reveal a minimum value of x5.

Lastly, landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters will award a further +2 and +4 Free Spins, respectively.

Dominus Maximus

Finally, the hidden bonus, Dominus Maximus, is triggered when 5 FS Scatters land in the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins.

This bonus follows the same algorithms as the Immortal Gains bonus, only with a Middle Multiplier added to reel 3. Both the left and middle Multipliers will be multiplied and applied to all wins with at least 3 symbols at the end of each spin. Possible multipliers fall between x2 and x20.

Wins that occur with 5 or more symbols will activate all 3 Multiplier Reels. When this happens, the leftmost Multiplier will be multiplied by the middle and rightmost Multipliers to create a Total Multiplier.

The total is then applied to all winning pay lines per spin. Lastly, when 2 or 3 FS Scatters appear in view, +2 and +4 Free Spins are awarded, respectively.

Our Honest Verdict

You kinda receive an overwhelming sense of power and invisibility when you spin the reels of Invictus, no? Nevertheless, Hacksaw Gaming has steered this release in the direction of history buffs with an appreciation for their darker catalogue of games.

The minimal detail in terms of design leaves us bewildered by what could be brewing behind the scenes, while you soon find yourselves at the complete mercy of Olympian Respins and Pantheon Multipliers.

In the base game, winning combinations are met with individual Reel Multipliers to the left of the reel set, which intermittently change to values between x1 and x100 during spins.

If you thought this standalone Multiplier Reel was rewarding, you’re soon joined by a second Reel Multiplier when winning combinations reach the rightmost reel, activating hidden Multipliers between x2 and x20.

To get the most out of the base game, you’ll also want to connect high-paying symbols to activate the Olympian Respins feature. This feature works in unison with the Pantheon Multipliers to award big payouts up to 10,000x your bet.

Interestingly, Hacksaw Gaming has separated Scatter symbols from base game wins, so that they never interfere with each other. So, whenever you see an FS Scatter flash up, you know you’re in for a losing spin, but with that comes the opportunity to trigger the Free Spins mode.
