Kings of Crystals II Power Combo Slot Review
The reels are the least interesting part of Kings of Crystals II Power Combo. Everything that decides whether a session pays sits in the stone-dark throne hall around them: a Wild reel count, a multiplier and a jackpot ladder, each growing quietly on the side of the screen until two or three of them fire together and the reels finally have something to work with.
This is All For One Studios‘ follow-up to Kings of Crystals, in the same family as Eggz! Power Combo and Spinnin’ Riches POWER COMBO: powers build separately in the base game, then pay together in one round.
The numbers: 96.20% RTP, medium volatility, a 5×4 grid with 40 paylines, stakes from 0.20 to 25.00, and a ceiling set by the Grand Jackpot’s fixed 10,000x total bet.
Base Game & Features
The base game runs five reels and four rows, with 40 fixed paylines paying left to right from the first reel. Only the highest combination counts on each line, and the total payout is the sum of all line wins. Wins come at a hit rate of 39.84%, so roughly two spins in five land something.
Each spin costs a total bet, and payline payouts are based on the initial bet: the total bet divided by a payline cost of 10. Wilds substitute for everything except Scatters, Hourglass and Coin symbols, appearing on reels two to five only and carrying no payout of their own.
Autoplay is available in the base game only, with spins played at the current selected bet and a counter showing how many remain. Pressing spin mid-session ends it immediately. Beyond that, the controls are standard: quick bet buttons, a bet menu, and a spin button that can also slam the reels to a stop, which doesn’t change the result.
Three Scatters, Three Powers
Three differently coloured Scatter symbols run through the base game: red, green and blue. Each feeds its own meter. The red builds Wild reels, the blue builds the payline multiplier, and the green boosts the jackpots. None of them pays anything on its own.
Any single scatter can trigger its own Free Spins. Landing two or three different colours on the same spin triggers a Power Combo round that combines them, and that combination is the entire point of the game. Banners spelling out “MAY UNLOCK POWER COMBO” and its cousins accompany the build.
What the Meters Build To
The meters grow as their scatters land, and each has a ceiling:
- Wild reels for Free Spins: up to 15
- Payline win multiplier: up to 15x
- Mini, Minor and Major Jackpots: boosted at random by green scatters, each to its own cap
The scatter collection shown beside the reels is purely for show. It doesn’t influence when features trigger or how strong the powers are. The meters underneath are what matter, and every one of them resets once its round finishes.
Kings of Crystals II Power Combo Free Spins & Powers
Every trigger awards 6 free spins, played automatically on an expanded 5×6 grid with 60 paylines at the triggering bet. Hourglasses land only in the feature, on the middle three reels, and each adds a spin to the tally. Feature wins are added to base game wins.
Wild Power
Triggered by the red scatter. The number of Wild reels banked in the base game carries into the round, with up to 3 Wild reels per spin during the feature. Each Hourglass adds one more Wild reel for the current session. Once the round ends, the count resets to three.
Multiplier Power
Triggered by the blue scatter. All payline wins during the round are multiplied by the banked multiplier, up to 15x. The multiplier doesn’t apply to Jackpots or cash prizes. It resets to 3x when the feature ends.
Jackpot Power
Triggered by the green scatter. Coin symbols drop during the round and are collected into colour-coded containers beside each jackpot label. A coin reveals either a coloured coin or a cash prize of 1x or 10x total bet. The collection rules:
- 5 red Coins award the Grand Jackpot
- 5 purple Coins award the Major Jackpot
- 5 green Coins award the Minor Jackpot
- 4 blue Coins award the Mini Jackpot
The cash prizes bypass the containers entirely and pay straight out, so a Jackpot Power round that never completes a set of five can still return something. The jackpot ladder itself starts low and climbs in steps as green scatters land:
- Mini starts at 10x bet and climbs in 5x steps to a 35x cap
- Minor opens at 20x bet, stepping up 10x at a time to 70x
- Major begins at 250x bet, rising by 50x per boost to a 500x ceiling
- Grand sits fixed at 10,000x total bet and can’t be boosted
Power Combo Rounds
Two or three differently coloured scatters landing together combine their powers into a single session, and the same combinations can fire from scatters landing during Free Spins. Red and green gives Wild Power plus Jackpot Power; red and blue gives Wilds plus the multiplier; green and blue gives Jackpots plus the multiplier. All three together runs the full house.
The powers feed each other in combined rounds. Extra Wild reels make the multiplier worth more, and both make the coin drops matter. That stacking is where the game’s real money lives, and it’s the reason to keep feeding the meters between triggers.
There’s a cost, though. When any Free Spins session finishes, every activated power resets to its minimum, the jackpots drop back to their starting values, and the containers clear. The climb starts again from the bottom.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
You sit in this throne hall mostly watching the walls, not the reels. That’s the whole appeal: the meters grow, the ladder climbs, and a session has a shape that a flat paytable never gives you. The reason to choose it is the combined round, because two or three powers running at once is worth far more than any of them alone.
At its best, that stacking is the strongest version of this format going: every power makes the others worth more. At its worst, a round that underperforms wipes all three meters at once, and the slow climb back from the minimums is the least fun the game ever gets. Six spins for a solo trigger rarely feels like enough.
It’s a good home for players who like a long build and don’t need the reels to pay for it. Anyone who wants a bonus that’s generous from the first spin will find this court a cold place to sit.
