Lollipop Drop MultiMax Slot Review
A candy shop window on a busy street: scalloped pink awning, glossy lollipops stacked behind the glass, shoppers drifting past outside. Lollipop Drop MultiMax sits its reels into that window, and the shopfront is doing more than decoration – it’s the promise the whole game keeps, because every win here is another sweet pulled off the shelf. BulletProof have built the base game so it’s never just paying out: every pop is progress, which makes this the rare 20-liner where losing spins aren’t the only thing between you and the bonus.
Where most games hand out free spins from a scatter count, this one makes you climb for them, and the entire engine is arranged around that climb. It runs on a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, at 94.0% RTP and medium-high volatility, with stakes from 0.20 to 100. It sits alongside Diamond Symphony DoubleMax and Juiced DuoMax in the studio’s reel-multiplier family.
Base Game & Features
All 20 lines are played on every spin, and only the highest win on each line counts. Wins pay left to right. The symbols are a straight candy counter: nine paying symbols in total, led by the Lollipop Drop bag, with two bow-wrapped swirl lollipops behind it.
The lower end is filled by a striped candy and a run of single lollipops in four colours. The values below are multiples of your total stake, so the top symbol’s five-of-a-kind is worth 25x whatever you’re betting:
- Lollipop Drop bag – 0.2x for two, 5x for three, 10x for four, 25x for five
- Red swirl lollipop with bow – 2x, 5x, 20x for three, four, five
- Purple swirl lollipop with bow – 2x, 4x, 15x for three, four, five
- Striped candy – 1x, 3x, 15x for three, four, five
- Red lollipop – 1x, 3x, 10x for three, four, five
- Purple lollipop – 0.5x, 3x, 10x for three, four, five
- Yellow lollipop – 0.2x, 2x, 10x for three, four, five
- Blue lollipop – 0.2x, 1.5x, 10x for three, four, five
- Green lollipop – 0.2x, 1x, 7x for three, four, five
A wild symbol substitutes for any of the paying symbols above. It also raises a reel multiplier every time it lands during free spins, which is where it becomes the round’s most valuable symbol.
Pop & Drop
After wins are paid on all lines, every symbol that took part in a win pops, and the symbols above drop down to replace them. That’s the whole mechanic, and it’s a clean one: a single spin can chain several wins as new symbols fall into the gaps.
The dropping matters because of what each pop feeds. There’s no separate scatter countdown in the base game – the pop itself is the currency, and it drives the free spins trail covered below.
Gumball Machine Symbols
One or more Gumball Machine symbols landing in view trigger the machine of the same name. In the base game it appears on the fifth reel only; during free spins up to four machines can occupy the last four reels.
The machine picks a random number of gumballs, each worth a cash prize or free spins. Inside the bonus, the gumballs pay cash only. Either way, there’s no skill to it – the machine decides, and you collect.
Lollipop Drop MultiMax Free Spins & Bonuses
The Free Spins Trail
Every pop moves the trail up one step, and the trail resets on each new spin. The steps award 7, 10, 12, 18 or 25 free spins, and the highest lit position is what you’re currently playing for.
It’s a steady ratchet rather than a sudden trigger, which suits the medium-high volatility: you can see the bonus approaching before it arrives. Chained drops from Pop & Drop are what move you up fastest, since each pop in a chain counts.
Encore
Some positions on the trail are Encore spots. Land on one and you get a respin, with a second Encore able to award a further respin on top. Enabling Encore increases your total stake, so it’s a paying option rather than a gift – you’re buying extra chances to climb.
Prize Box Feature
When free spins are awarded, from the trail or from a Gumball Machine, you pick one of three boxes. Two hold the number of spins you entered with, one holds a bigger number.
The lowest of the three is eliminated first, then you can swap boxes or stick with your choice before the reveal. The safeguard is the interesting part: the result can’t leave you with fewer spins than you started with. It’s a pick’em with a floor under it.
Free Spins MultiMax
Inside the bonus, each of the five reels carries its own multiplier, starting at x1. Every wild that lands on a reel nudges that reel’s multiplier up by one, and the multipliers don’t reset for the rest of the round. A payline win is multiplied by the product of every multiplier on the reels the win touches.
That’s the engine the game is named for. Wilds are doing two jobs at once – substituting and building the reel’s multiplier – and a late-round win crossing four or five built-up reels is where the money lives.
The free spins round also runs its own improved trail, making retriggers easier than triggering the round in the first place. Gumball Machine cash prizes during free spins get the same treatment: the MultiMax multipliers apply, left to right, across every reel up to and including the one the machine landed on.
Bonus Buy
The Buy Bonus skips the climb and puts you on the trail at 10 free spins, with a free respin chance to move further up. From there the Prize Box Feature takes over with the value matching wherever the trail stopped, and the swap-or-stick decision can push the total as high as 30 free spins.
So a bought bonus isn’t a fixed product – it’s a floor of 10 spins with two stages of upside on top, the respin and the box. What the purchase costs scales with your stake, and the Encore stake increase doesn’t apply to it.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
This is a game you play for the build. Spinning Lollipop Drop MultiMax means watching a lit ladder edge upward spin after spin, and the reason to choose it over plainer candy slots is exactly that: you’re never marking time, you’re climbing. It makes the stretches between bonuses feel shorter than the volatility says they are.
The bonus round is the best thing about it. Multipliers that hold for a whole round mean a long feature keeps getting better, and retriggers come easier once you’re inside. The paytable is the weak part – 25x for the top five-of-a-kind is thin pickings, and 94.0% RTP gives a little less back than most of its neighbours on the shelf.
So it’s for players who enjoy a slow rise and a feature that ends loud, and it isn’t for anyone who wants the base game itself to pay serious money. The wait between rounds is real. But like queuing at a sweet shop window, there’s something on the other side of it worth hanging around for.
