Lucky Jack Book Of Rebirth Slot Review
Sand has drifted over the gold coins scattered across this tomb floor, and hieroglyph-carved pillars stand in an amber half-light that Egypt’s slots have visited a hundred times. Lucky Jack Book Of Rebirth doesn’t add anything to that room, and it doesn’t need to. Its whole case rests on one decision: redrawing the expanding symbol on every free spin rather than fixing it for the round. Spinomenal built it on a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines at 96.01% RTP, with the Book of Rebirth working as wild, scatter and trigger all at once.
The family resemblance is strong: Book Of Rebirth Extreme pushes the same idea further, and this one runs closest to the moonlit Lucky Jack Book Of Rebirth Egyptian Darkness, sharing its engine and most of its paytable under warmer skies. The tomb pays those who wait.
Symbols and Pays
How Wins Are Formed
Wins pay left to right from the leftmost reel, only the highest combination on each line counts, and line wins multiply the bet per line. You set that bet per line with the plus and minus buttons before spinning, or hit the space bar to spin at the current stake. It’s a ten-line game with no ways-to-win or cluster mechanics anywhere in it.
The Book of Rebirth is both wild and scatter. As a wild it stands in for any symbol on the paytable; as a scatter it pays from anywhere on the reels, and three or more of them both pay and trigger the free spins. Scatter prizes land in addition to regular line wins, so a triggering spin always pays twice.
The Paytable
Symbol values are multiples of the total bet:
- Jack (explorer): 100x for two, 1,000x for three, 10,000x for four, 50,000x for five and 100,000x for six
- Cat (Bastet): 50x, 400x, 4,000x, 20,000x and 40,000x from two through to six
- Falcon amulet and Ankh key: 50x for two up to 15,000x for six, with 300x, 1,000x and 7,500x in between
- A and K: 50x for three, 400x for four, 1,500x for five, 3,000x for six
- Q, J and 10: 50x for three, then 250x, 1,000x and 2,000x for four, five and six
- Book of Rebirth (wild and scatter): 20x for three, 250x for four, 2,500x for five, 5,000x for six
Two features of that ladder are worth a pause. The explorer pays from two of a kind, which no royal manages, and his top line dwarfs everything beneath it.
The two mid-tier symbols, the falcon amulet and the ankh key, share identical values, so the effective ladder is five steps rather than seven. The money in this game is stacked at the very top, in combinations most sessions will never assemble. Everything from the falcon downward is small change, and the royals are there to keep the balance ticking between the moments that matter.
There’s no overall maximum win figure for this one. The explorer’s six-of-a-kind line is the richest single result on the paytable.
Free Spins and the Expanding Symbol
Triggering the Round
Three or more scattered Books anywhere on the reels award 10 free spins. The scatter payout lands first, then the round begins, with the bet per line carried over from the triggering spin. There’s no pick, no wheel, no choice of volatility: the Books do one thing and the round starts.
- Trigger: three or more scattered Books, anywhere on the reels
- Award: 10 free spins, bet per line unchanged from the triggering spin
- Scatter pays land in addition to regular line wins
- A fresh expanding symbol is drawn on every individual spin, never the Book itself
- Expansion happens only where it creates a win, and pays non-consecutively across all lines
- Three or more Books during the round add another 10 spins
The Per-Spin Expanding Symbol
The redraw is the twist. Instead of locking one expanding symbol for the whole round, the game draws a fresh one on every single spin. Any symbol except the Book itself can be assigned, and the assignment lasts for that spin only.
The sequence on each spin runs in a fixed order. The reels stop and the base result is determined first. Then, if the assigned symbol appears, it expands to cover its reel positions, but only where the expansion creates a win.
Expanded symbols pay across all active lines regardless of whether the winning symbols sit on consecutive reels, and they settle separately from the original result, so a spin can pay both its line wins and its expansion.
In practice that means a draw of the explorer, or the cat, can turn an ordinary spin into the biggest hit of the round. Because the symbol is redrawn each spin, no round is ever chained to a weak royal either. Every free spin carries the same odds of drawing the top of the paytable, which is what gives this otherwise spare feature its pull.
Retriggers
Three or more Books during the round stack on another 10 free spins, and nothing caps how many times that can happen. A retriggered round keeps the same bet per line and the same redraw rules, so each added spin is another chance at a top-symbol expansion. A long round with favourable draws is where the biggest results in this game live.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Most of a session here is a walk down a torchlit corridor with one door at the end of it. Between Books the reels pay in modest royals and the odd scatter crumb, and the reason anybody makes that walk is the round behind the door, because it never sits still.
The per-spin redraw is the best decision in the build. No round is chained to a dead symbol, every free spin can draw the explorer, and the non-consecutive paying rule means expansions connect more often than a stricter game would allow. Retriggers stack another 10 spins on a round that’s already working.
The weakness is everything around that idea: one feature and a paytable where everything below the explorer and the cat is small change. Book-slot regulars, and anyone who enjoyed the moonlit edition of this same engine, will be well served here. Anyone who wants things to do between rounds won’t find them in this tomb. The torches stay lit either way.
