Lucky Joker Dice Extra Gifts Slot Review
Plum-purple wallpaper, spades and clubs patterned into it, a reel cabinet edged in orange-gold: this is a casino floor that has stopped pretending to be anything else. Lucky Joker Dice Extra Gifts, from Amatic, looks like a museum piece and doesn’t play like one, because its best round is locked behind a bet most players will never think to switch on. It runs on a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines, and line wins pay leftmost to right on adjacent reels.
Leave the Extra Bet off and you’ve got a ten-line dice slot that could have shipped twenty years ago. Switch it on and the Gift Spin round opens up: a hold-and-collect feature with values up to 250x the standard bet, doubled if you fill the whole grid. It’s ground Amatic have covered in Fortune Joker 10 and Fortune Joker 20, and the round is the reason to be here.
Dice, Jokers and Scatters
The paying symbols are dice, each styled to carry a classic slot icon. The White 7 Dice is the one to watch, the horseshoe and green dice share a pay tier, and the cyan and multi-coloured dice fill out the lower end. Wins land on the ten fixed lines, leftmost to right. The paytable below shows the values exactly as the game prints them; no bet figure is shown on screen, so they cannot be read as multiples of your bet.
- White 7 Dice: 10 for two, 50 for three, 200 for four, 3,000 for five
- Horseshoe Dice / Green Dice: 40 for three, 100 for four, 500 for five
- Cyan Dice: 20 for three, 50 for four, 200 for five
- Multi-coloured Dice: 10 for three, 30 for four, 100 for five
- Bell scatter: 30 for three, 200 for four, 1,000 for five
- Star scatter: 200 for three
Two symbols hold the scatter role and pay in any position, on no line at all: the Bell and the Star. That makes the Bell the second-richest symbol in the game at the top end, behind only the White 7 Dice, while the Star pays nothing at all below three of a kind. Only the highest combination on each line counts for the line pays.
The Joker is the wild, appearing only on reels two, three and four, where it replaces any symbol on that reel and substitutes for everything except the two scatters. Because it never touches the outer reels, it can complete a line but never start one.
One more symbol type rides alongside the reels. Gift symbols appear in addition to the regular symbols and never block a win line, so they can stack up while the base game carries on paying underneath them. When the Extra Bet is off they’re simply decoration on the reels; when it’s on, they’re the currency of the feature.
Extra Gifts: The Extra Bet
The whole side of the game sits behind one decision: whether to activate the EXTRA BET. Leave it off and Lucky Joker Dice Extra Gifts is a straightforward ten-line dice slot. Switch it on and the Gift Spin feature becomes available, with six or more Gift symbols anywhere on the reels needed to trigger it.
The Extra Bet does more than open the door. A higher Extra Bet increases the chance of landing more valuable Gift symbols and Mystery Gift symbols, so the level you choose shapes how generous the round is likely to be. The ranges those symbols can carry are fixed whatever you stake:
- Gift symbols: values from 1x to 250x the standard bet
- Mystery Gift symbols: a guaranteed win from 25x to 250x the standard bet
- Trigger: six or more Gift symbols on any position, with the Extra Bet active
- Mystery Gifts open at the end of the feature, not during it
The split between the two symbol types matters more than it first appears. A standard Gift can be worth as little as 1x, while a Mystery Gift is guaranteed at least 25x, so the difference between the two at the low end is the difference between a token prize and a real one. At the top they meet, both capped at 250x.
The Gift Spin Feature
Land six or more Gift symbols with the Extra Bet active and the reels give way to the feature. All fifteen positions now spin independently, one at a time, and the round opens with three spins on the counter. Line wins and scatter wins aren’t evaluated during the feature; it’s Gift symbols or nothing.
The counter is where the tension lives. Land extra Gift symbols on a feature spin and the remaining spins reset to three. Land a Joker instead and the reset comes with a bonus: the counter climbs by one, up to a maximum of six spins.
- The round starts with three spins on the counter
- Each of the 15 reel positions spins independently
- Extra Gift symbols landing on a spin reset the counter to three
- A Joker resets the counter and adds one spin, up to six
- The round ends when the spins run out or all 15 positions hold Gift symbols
- Fifteen collected Gifts double every Gift value on the board
The feature runs until the spins run out or all fifteen positions are filled with Gift symbols. Filling the grid is the prize condition. Collect fifteen Gift symbols by the time the feature ends and every Gift value on the board is doubled, which is where the bigger Mystery Gift prizes turn from healthy into genuinely large.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
This is two games wearing one purple jacket. Played flat, it’s a tidy old-school ten-liner with the game’s top printed paytable prize of 3,000 and nothing much to say for itself; the reason anyone chooses it is the collect round behind the Extra Bet, which turns a period piece into something with a proper climax.
The feature is the strength, and it’s earned: fifteen independent positions, a counter that Jokers can stretch to six spins, and a doubled board if you fill every last one. The weakness is everything outside it. The base game pays modestly, the wild can’t reach the outer reels, and there’s little to do between features but watch the wallpaper.
It’s one for fans of Amatic’s no-frills dice slots who like a collect round and don’t mind paying extra to get it. Anyone after variety in the base game will find the cupboard fairly bare.
