Majestic Cats DeluxeWays Slot Review
A gorge in the rainforest, two turquoise waterfalls pouring down the far cliffs, and a stone-and-timber reel frame glowing with paw-print crystals at its corners. Majestic Cats DeluxeWays hides its sharpest hook in that scenery: the ways count never sits still, and a game that quotes 3,375 ways on its base 5×4 grid will happily deal you a spin worth a dozen.
It’s a High 5 Games build, cousin to Da Vinci DeluxeWays and Valkyrie Queen 2, with My Slot Studio also in the family. The DeluxeWays signature is that moving ways count, and here it’s paired with a side-bet system that reshapes what each spin can do, plus a progressive jackpot running alongside the reels. Whether the jungle delivers is what follows.
Base Game & Features
The reels sit on a 5×4 grid, and wins pay across a ways system rather than fixed lines. The base configuration shows 3,375 ways, but that number is a starting point rather than a constant. From spin to spin the count moves, sometimes collapsing to a fraction of the base figure and sometimes climbing far past it.
The values seen in play range from single digits to five figures, which gives a sense of how wide the swings are:
- 3,375 ways – the base grid
- 10,800 ways – the highest count observed
- 6,720 ways
- 3,600 ways
- 1,296 ways
- 15 and 12 ways – the low end of the range
That movement is the whole idea of the DeluxeWays format. Symbols land, the ways expand or contract, and a spin that starts small can finish with a grid full of routes. No spin’s count is guaranteed, which keeps even losing spins worth a glance at the counter.
Visually, the grid sits inside that carved stone frame lashed with rope, with moss-furred boulders, ferns and vines crowding in from the edges and tiny golden motes drifting over the water. The presentation is rich fantasy realism rather than photorealism, and the big-cat theming runs right down to the paw-print crystals mounted at the frame’s upper corners.
Power Bets
The headline system is a pair of optional side bets, each one adding a distinct feature to the game. Only one Power Bet can be active at a time, and whichever you choose also carries into the Free Games Bonus. The two options cost different amounts and do different jobs:
- Power Bet at 3x the bet – activates Double + Triple Majors
- Power Bet at 5x the bet – activates Add Extra Reel
Beyond their names, the game keeps the details close. Double + Triple Majors suggests bigger symbol versions landing on the grid, and Add Extra Reel does what it says: a further reel joins the layout. On a ways-based game, an extra reel is more than decoration, since a sixth reel multiplies the possible routes through every spin.
Both are toggled on and off before you spin, so the choice is there on every bet rather than locked in at a stake level. The one-at-a-time rule means you’re choosing which feature you want, not stacking them. It also means the more expensive bet isn’t automatically the better one; it’s a straight choice between a wider grid and bigger symbols.
Bonus Paw Symbols
A paw-print bonus symbol lands on the reels during normal play. It’s the marker that points the way towards the game’s bonus round, appearing on the grid among the regular symbols rather than paying for itself. It doesn’t carry its own cash value; its job is to flag the route into the Free Games Bonus.
Claw Marks
Claw slashes also appear over symbols mid-spin, scratch marks drawn across the grid that remove or replace what’s underneath them. It’s the game’s clearest symbol-clearing touch, and on a ways-based grid, clearing symbols is rarely just decoration. Freed positions refill, and a refill on a grid whose ways count is climbing can turn a dead spin into a live one.
The claw marks and the paw symbols are the two touches that need watching. Everything else in the base game announces itself; these two arrive without commentary, and the game leaves it to the eye to work out which one is worth more.
Majestic Cats DeluxeWays Free Games Bonus
The bonus round is a Free Games feature, reached through the paw bonus symbols. The game doesn’t spell out the spin count or entry requirements on the reels themselves, so the paw symbols landing is the visible signal that the round is in play.
What’s confirmed is the carry-over: whichever Power Bet is active when you trigger the bonus keeps working inside it. A 5x Add Extra Reel bet doesn’t switch off at the bonus door, which is where the side bet earns its price. The same goes for Double + Triple Majors at the lower tier.
Combined with the shifting ways count, the bonus round inherits everything the base game does and stacks it. That’s the design: the Free Games Bonus is the base game at full stretch, not a separate mode with its own rules. Whatever the claw marks, the paw symbols and the Power Bet features do spin to spin, they keep doing inside the bonus, on a grid that’s already primed to run hot.
The maths behind that inheritance matters. An extra reel inside a bonus round doesn’t just add a column of symbols; it widens every subsequent spin of the round, and the ways counter responds accordingly. Run that alongside symbol-clearing claw marks and the majors upgrade, and each Power Bet changes the shape of the bonus rather than its size.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Playing this is like watching weather move through the gorge: long stretches of quiet, then the grid opens and a single spin carries more routes than most slots manage in a session. That swing is the reason to pick it, and the one reason. The Power Bet carry-over is the best thing here, because a side bet that keeps working inside the bonus changes the round you’re buying, not just the spins before it.
The worst thing is the withholding. Two of the game’s own symbols, the paw and the claw marks, arrive with nothing printed about what they do, and a player shouldn’t have to reverse-engineer a feature from watching it happen.
It’s a good fit for players who like a board that moves and don’t mind working things out for themselves, and Da Vinci DeluxeWays players will settle in fast. Anyone who wants every rule and rate printed before the first spin will find the gorge quiet on that front. The falls keep falling either way.
