Minotaur ReBurn Slot Review
A crowned bull-man glowers from a stone throne above the reels, red eyes glowing, gold armour catching the firelight of four bronze torches. Endorphina have done something quietly radical with Minotaur ReBurn: they’ve made a game where losing is the interesting part. Every Re-Spin that fails to pay pushes the multiplier higher, so the feature’s worst runs are also its most valuable ones.
It runs at 96.04% RTP on a 5×3 grid with 10 fixed paylines, with the Minotaur Re-Spins carrying most of the design’s weight. Endorphina have trodden similar ground before in games like 3 Golden Chests, Fresh Crush and Lucky Stamps. Here the idea is simpler and stranger: one wild, one ladder of multipliers, and no ceiling on either.
Base Game & Features
The setup is deliberately old-fashioned. Five reels, three rows, ten fixed paylines, and wins paid left to right with only the highest combination per line counting. There’s nothing exotic about the structure, which leaves the paytable and the Minotaur himself to do the work.
The Minotaur is the wild, and he substitutes for every other symbol. That’s his whole job in the main game – but when he appears, he doesn’t stay where he landed. More on that below.
Paytable
Values are multiples of the line stake:
- Man (Minotaur King) – 3: 10x, 4: 50x, 5: 100x
- Woman – 3: 10x, 4: 40x, 5: 80x
- Labyrinth – 3: 5x, 4: 20x, 5: 50x
- Golden Ball – 3: 5x, 4: 20x, 5: 50x
- Helmet – 3: 2x, 4: 7x, 5: 15x
- Pegasus Shield – 3: 2x, 4: 7x, 5: 15x
- A / K – 3: 1x, 4: 4x, 5: 10x
- Q / J – 3: 1x, 4: 3x, 5: 10x
It’s a steep ladder. The top symbol pays ten times what the royals do at three-of-a-kind, and the gap between the two premiums and everything else is where the game’s personality sits. The Man and the Woman are the only symbols worth chasing in the base game.
Below them, the table flattens out quickly. The mid-tier pairs share values exactly, so a Labyrinth line and a Golden Ball line are interchangeable. The same goes for the two armour symbols and the two royal pairs.
Once you’re past the premiums, what lands barely matters – only how many of it. With just ten lines and a top-heavy table, the meaningful wins come from the Man and Woman symbols, or from the wild standing in for them. Everything below the mid-tier is small change.
TOKEN Symbol
The TOKEN symbol is a bull skull, and it appears in the main game only. Each TOKEN can activate the Minotaur. When one flies off the reels, the symbol it uncovers can complete winning combinations.
Activation doesn’t follow a collection rule – earlier TOKENs don’t bring the next one closer. There’s no meter to watch and no counting involved, so a TOKEN either sets the Minotaur moving on that spin or it doesn’t.
The uncovering effect is the small bonus. A TOKEN clearing out of the way can reveal the missing piece of a line, turning a dead spin into a paid one. It’s a modest effect, and it only ever works in the main game – TOKENs play no part once the Re-Spins are running.
Between the torch-lit frame and the cast of Minoan characters – the Woman, the Labyrinth, the Golden Ball – the reels themselves stay busy without cluttering. The premium symbols are rendered to match the throne room around them.
Minotaur ReBurn Bonus Features
Re-Spins
When the Minotaur appears, any initial payout is made first, and then he moves. He jumps to reel 2, 3 or 4, covers the whole reel, and stays there while the other reels spin. The Re-Spins then run until a winning combination lands.
Each Re-Spin without a win increases the multiplier, starting at x1 with no upper limit. The multiplier that has built up is applied to the win that finally ends the feature. Re-Spins use the same bet and lines as the triggering spin, and the feature can’t be won again while it’s running.
Played out step by step, a typical run goes like this: the Minotaur lands, any line win on that spin is paid, and he relocates to the middle of the board. The remaining reels respin once. No win, and the multiplier ticks up and they spin again. A win, and it’s paid with the multiplier attached.
Which reel he lands on matters, too. Covering reel 2, 3 or 4 puts the wild in the middle of most payline routes, so nearly every line runs through him. The feature ends the moment a win lands, and not before.
The structure is the interesting part. A full wild reel in the middle of the board plus an unlimited rising multiplier means the longer the feature runs dry, the harder the eventual hit. The design doesn’t cap the ladder, so the theoretical ceiling keeps climbing for as long as the reels refuse to cooperate.
Risk Game
After any win, you can gamble it. Four cards are dealt face down and you pick one; beat the Dealer’s card and your win doubles, with up to ten attempts available in total. If the Dealer takes a round, the winnings are gone and the Risk Game ends.
A few details matter. A card matching the Dealer’s value is a draw rather than a loss. The Joker beats everything and the Dealer can never receive one – which is the quiet edge in your favour.
Card probabilities aren’t equally distributed, and cards can reappear between rounds. TAKE WIN banks the current total at any point. Ten consecutive correct picks is the ceiling, and each one is a fresh choice: double again or walk with what’s on the table.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
This is a waiting game, and the Minotaur knows it – he sits on his throne, the torches burn, and most of your time goes into spinning a plain five-reel board until he finally moves. The reason to choose it is the moment he does: that uncapped multiplier climbing while the reels stay quiet is as tense as this format gets.
The strength is that the one feature is genuinely well built – the ladder rewards the droughts rather than punishing them, and the Risk Game gives every win a real decision afterwards. The weakness is the stretch between features: ten lines and a steep paytable mean the base game is thin, and there’s no maximum win figure to size the dream against.
It’s for players who like a slow burn and don’t need constant action; anyone after frequent bonus rounds or a busy board will find it sparse. But if you can sit with the silence, the labyrinth pays off – and the king keeps it warm.
