Mr. Oinkster’s Key To Riches Slot Review
Two fat piggy banks in a green bowler and a purple top hat peer over a gold-framed reel box, a pig-snouted vault door looming behind them. Mr. Oinkster’s Key To Riches makes wealth something you can see but never quite reach on the spin you want it: the pigs dangle riches behind their vault and only open up on their own terms.
It comes from Booming Games, and it sits in familiar company alongside Mr. Oinkster’s Hold & Win 10,000, Blazing Bullets Hold and Win and Boomstick Blast: Link and Loot. The game runs on a 5×3 grid with 40 fixed paylines, and everything else orbits the collecting. The vault is very much open for business.
Base Game & Features
The reels are framed in gold against that marble-and-velvet vault lounge, with the two pigs watching from above. Symbols are a straightforward mix: 10, J, Q, K and A make up the royals, with gold coins and lock symbols alongside them. All 40 paylines are fixed, so there’s nothing to adjust on that front.
Wins form in the usual way here, left to right across those fixed lines, and only the highest combination on each line counts. The interest isn’t in the line pays. It’s in where the Wild is allowed to sit, and what happens when it arrives.
Wild Reels
Certain positions on the grid are designated as Wild Reels. These positions can land either a regular paying symbol or the Wild, which is Mr. Oinkster himself. The Wild can’t appear anywhere else, and coins can’t appear on a Wild Reel at all.
It’s a tidy restriction. It keeps the collector and the collectible on separate ground, so a spin either brings a paying symbol into the Wild Reel or brings the collector itself.
Wild Coin Collect
Land the Wild while coins are anywhere on the grid and it unlocks, sweeping up every coin in view in one go. A single coin can hold one of two things:
- Multiplier coins worth 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x or 2x the base bet
- Mini Prize Pot worth 5x the base bet
- Minor Prize Pot worth 10x the base bet
- Major Prize Pot worth 50x the base bet
- Grand Prize Pot worth 1,000x the base bet
That ladder is the game’s prize structure in miniature. The multiplier coins keep the small stuff ticking over, and the pots give a single collect somewhere to go. One collect with a Grand attached would be the best moment this game can produce.
Wild Nudge Modifier
If the Wild arrives with no coin anywhere on the grid, the nudge modifier kicks in. Each selected position is nudged into either a coin or a symbol that contributes to a winning combination.
It’s a fallback, but a well-made one. A Wild landing on an empty board never does nothing.
Boost+
Boost+ is a toggle in the base game. Switching it on raises your bet by 50% and improves the chances of triggering the bonus features. Wins are still evaluated on the base bet, not the boosted amount.
So the premium buys trigger frequency rather than prize size. Every coin value, pot and multiplier above stays exactly as it was; you’re simply seeing the bonus rounds more often for a steeper cost per spin.
Mr. Oinkster’s Key To Riches Free Spins & Bonus Features
The piggy symbols decide which bonus you get. Light up one or both of them and the free spins follow, in one of three configurations:
- Multiplier piggy activated: 6 Multiplier Free Spins
- Double piggy activated: 6 Double Free Spins
- Both piggies activated: 12 Combined Free Spins
Multiplier Free Spins
The Multiplier piggy awards 6 free spins. When the Wild lands with any coin on the grid, each collected coin is multiplied by a randomly awarded multiplier value. One collector, one multiplier, applied to everything it gathers.
Double Free Spins
The Double piggy also awards 6 free spins, but with a different shape: two Wild positions run simultaneously, on reel 2 row 2 and reel 4 row 2. Both work as collect positions, and any Wild landing in either one collects all visible coin values.
Coins carrying a +1 Spin value can land during the round, each adding a free spin. There’s no multiplier here, just twice the collecting.
Combined Free Spins
Activate both piggies and you get 12 free spins with everything running at once. Two Wilds are live, and when a Wild lands with coins on the grid, each collected coin is multiplied by a randomly awarded x2, x3 or x5.
If both Wilds are active at the same time, every coin is collected by each of them and every multiplier applies. Every +1 Spin coin gets picked up by both as well. This is the round the whole game is angled towards.
Bonus Buy
There’s a star icon on the right side of the interface for buying features directly. Two options are on the menu:
- Mystery Bonus for 100x your bet
- Super Bonus for 200x your bet
The Grand Prize Pot at 1,000x the base bet is the largest single figure the game puts on anything, and it stands as the ceiling of what a collect here can deliver. Two of them landing in the same bonus, with multipliers stacked on top, is where the real money lives.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Playing it feels like holding your breath. The reels fill with coins, a Wild teeters on its designated reel, and the whole spin resolves in one yes-or-no moment. That suspense is the reason to sit down at this vault rather than another: the collect isn’t a bonus here, it’s the entire game.
The free spins are the best-built part of it. Three genuinely different rounds, all reachable in one session, and the combined mode pays out with real teeth. The weakness is the day-to-day arithmetic: most coins are worth pocket change, and the dry spells between decent collects can stretch. The Grand Pot is a long way down that ladder.
If you like collect slots and the Oinkster brand of cheek, this one earns its slot in the vault. Chasers of big base-game hits will find the pigs tight-fisted. They are bankers, after all, and this is their house.
