Odin Infinity Reels Slot Review
A ring of weathered standing stones leans at odd angles in a green glen, dusk light going gold over ridges that fade into haze. Odin Infinity Reels builds its entire game above that stone circle on a single wager: that watching a grid grow is worth paying for, because every reel it adds makes the next win bigger than the last.
This is ReelPlay bolting their own Infinity Reels engine onto Megaways, and it’s the pairing that makes it interesting: the first slot in the world to run both at once. It’s the same engine that carried West Coast Cash Infinity Reels in 2022, though here it shares the work with a second mechanic instead of standing alone.
The numbers: 96.18% RTP, medium-high volatility, and spins that start on three reels and pay up to a round cap of 20,000x the bet. Stakes run from 0.30 to 12 per spin. The old gods, it turns out, were collectors.
Base Game & Features
Every spin begins on three reels by four rows. From there the round runs on a simple loop:
- The rightmost reel is checked against every symbol combination on the grid
- If it improves any of them, a new reel is added to the right and spun
- If that reel improves a combination too, another follows, and another after that
- When a reel finally fails to improve anything, wins are calculated and the round pays out
- There’s no upper limit on how many reels can stack up in a single spin
Each reel can carry up to five symbols, which is where the Megaways side of the partnership kicks in. A grid with varying rows per reel produces a shifting ways count, and the panel keeps a running tally of it alongside the win. Wins are awarded on left to right adjacent symbols regardless of size, so a full-height symbol counts the same as a single-row one.
Wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, and symbols need to land on at least three of them to count. A symbol win is its paytable value multiplied by the number of ways for that symbol. Wins on different symbols in the same round are added together.
The Symbol Multiplier starts every game at 1 and increases by one each time a new reel is added, with no ceiling of its own. It applies to all symbol wins, so a long reel chain doesn’t just widen the grid, it makes every win on it worth more.
GUNGNIR plays by its own rules. It pays anywhere rather than left to right, needs five or more instances to win, and its win is the symbol value multiplied by the number of GUNGNIR symbols on screen. The Valknut wild substitutes for every symbol except GUNGNIR.
Per-symbol pay values aren’t published for this one, so the ways count and the multiplier are doing the visible work of telling you what a win is worth. Each round wagers 30 coins, and all wins are multiplied by the coin value, which is how the stake translates to the reel grid. Coin values run from 0.01 to 0.40, with a default bet of 1.20 per spin.
Autoplay is configurable from the menu, in sequences of up to 25 spins, with the bet adjustable between rounds. The reel tracker sits alongside the multiplier display, counting up as the grid stretches.
Odin Infinity Reels Free Spins & Jackpots
Free Spins
Any GUNGNIR symbol win triggers the free spins, and two wheels appear before a single one plays out. The first awards one of four Free Spin Levels, each with an equal chance. The second awards the spin count.
- 8 free spins: 1 in 3 chance
- 10 free spins: 1 in 2 chance
- 12 free spins: 1 in 6 chance
The levels change how fast the multiplier climbs, and the difference compounds hard across a long round:
- Level 1: Symbol Multiplier gains 1 per new reel
- Level 2: Symbol Multiplier gains 2 per new reel
- Level 3: Symbol Multiplier gains 3 per new reel
- Level 4: Symbol Multiplier gains 4 per new reel
Unlike the base game, the multiplier doesn’t reset between free spins. It carries from spin to spin and keeps building for as long as reels keep being added, so a Level 4 round that finds a rhythm can climb faster than anything the base game offers. A run of five added reels in a Level 4 round lifts the multiplier by 20 in that spin alone, on top of everything the previous spins banked.
Any GUNGNIR win during the round adds four extra spins. Free spins play at the triggering bet, and both wheels can be spun in either order by picking the left or right side of the screen. Each wheel shows its odds as it truly pays them.
Jackpot Respins
Six or more Hammer symbols trigger the Jackpot Respins. Three respins are awarded, all Hammers hold, and everything else spins again. The round works like this:
- Every new Hammer that lands is held and resets the respins to three
- Filling a reel with four Hammers adds a new reel to the right and spins it
- When the respins run out, every Hammer on the grid awards a prize or a jackpot prize
Infinity Bonus
Any spin that stacks up twelve or more reels pays the Infinity Bonus: a flat 888x the total bet. The Symbol Multiplier doesn’t apply to it, and the win cap does. By twelve reels the ways count is enormous, which is the whole point of the prize. A round that reaches the fifteenth reel awards the same 888x jackpot prize.
The Win Cap
If a round’s total reaches 20,000x the bet at any point, the round ends immediately and 20,000x is awarded. Free spins and pending triggers are cancelled when it hits. The jackpot counts inside the cap, so a cap-breaking Infinity Bonus is reduced to fit.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.3/10
Playing Odin Infinity Reels is mostly waiting in a stone circle. Spins lose quietly, and then one of them catches and the grid starts stretching, and that stretch – reel after reel, the multiplier ticking up with each one – is the whole reason anybody picks this over a fixed five-reeler. The Norse setting suits it: heavy, patient, rewards that arrive like winter.
The free spins are the best thing here. Levels that climb the multiplier up to four times faster, with no reset between spins, mean a good round doesn’t just pay, it keeps getting better while it pays. The weakness is the base game: at one multiplier step per reel and a hit rate this thin, most sessions are a long walk between fires, and everything interesting is banked on the bonus arriving.
This one’s for players who like the build itself and don’t mind losing quietly to get it. Anyone who wants regular wins or a fast round won’t find them in this glen. For the patient, the long winters pay.
