Peggy Sweets Slot Review 2024

Peggy Sweets from Red Tiger takes players to a 50’s Roller Diner for some sweet treats with some sweet waitresses.

Everything about it so far looks rather delectable with Donuts, Jelly, Sundaes and Pancakes stacked to the max, but is Peggy Sweets as sweet as it seems?

Make it Large, Get One Free and Win Multiplier features make it seem so, but there’s a lot to digest so let’s head on into the diner for a taste of Red Tiger’s newest slot.

Peggy Sweets Base Game

Peggy Sweets Base Game and Features

Peggy Sweets is a 5×5 Video Slot with a Scatter Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 8 or more of the same symbols land anywhere across the grid.

The minimum bet available to players is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€10 per spin, with a small selection of betting options in between the two. Peggy Sweets has a theoretical RTP of 95.68%.

Peggy Sweets features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed and new symbols will drop down from above, filling all empty positions.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying symbol here is the Character with the Gold background, followed by Characters with the Blue and Pink backgrounds. Low-paying symbols fall to Pancakes, Jelly, Ice-Cream and Donuts. There is no Wilds present in Peggy Sweets.

Similar to Play’n GO’s Moon Princess, each of the 3 Girl symbols offer up a unique Modifier that can trigger randomly in both the base game and Free Spins round. Read on to find out what these girls can whip up!

Girl Features

During any random spin in the base game, 1 of 3 Girl symbols can trigger their special feature. A girl symbol is active when her portrait is shown in the top right corner of the grid. When 1 feature is active, the next Girl symbol will activate.

  • Make it Large – When active, the Pink Girl symbol will swap all instances of 1 symbol type on the grid into another symbol.
  • Get one Free – When active, the Blue Girl symbol will choose 1 symbol type and Double it. The position remains the same size, but the number of symbols it accounts for is doubled.
  • Win Multiplier – When active, the Yellow Girl symbol will award a Multiplier value of x2, x3, x4 or x5, which is applied to all wins in the respin and any following reactions.

Peggy Sweets: Our Verdict

Peggy Sweets is a treat for those with a soft spot for the romanticised idea of a 50’s diner, and the gameplay can be just as sweet too.

The Base Game provides a fair amount of action with girl modifiers that may activate, yet on their own they can often fall short. The problem is addressed in Free Spins with features that may trigger at the same time, and when they work together it can certainly show its value.

Is Peggy Sweets a memorable game? Not really. It’s not going to go down in history as one of the best Red Tiger games ever made. It may very well fade off the radar fairly shortly after its release unless it leaves an impression with big wins for those that try it, but it could also turn into a surprising favourite because of its cheerful and groovy vibes.

All in all, Peggy Sweets is certainly sweet, but it’s not moreish. It can get sickly rather quickly like most sweet things, but you’ll enjoy it while you indulge for a little while.
