Piggies Prize Party Slot Review
Four fat pigs in party colours are perched on a barn roof under a full moon, spotlights clamped to the eaves and a speaker stack thumping away by the fence. Most slots would let that farmyard rave be the whole idea; Reflex have built the game’s entire bonus engine out of it. Every coloured coin you collect feeds one of those pigs, and the pigs, not the paytable, are where the money in Piggies Prize Party actually lives.
It’s a 5×4 grid with 25 fixed paylines, medium volatility and an RTP of 94.0%, with stakes from 0.20 to 100. Reflex sit somewhere in the middle of this design space; Fat Cats DoubleMax and Paddy’s Pool Party cover similar ground with animals and parties of their own. This one is louder than both.
Base Game & Features
The game runs on 25 fixed paylines, numbered one to 25, with wins paying left to right and simultaneous wins on different paylines added together. A Wild substitutes for all symbols except the coins, and that’s its whole job here.
The symbol that carries the base game is the Gift Box. It appears in both the base game and free spins, and opens to reveal all matching symbols on the reels, standard or wild. In the base game and in the blue free spins it can also reveal coins, which is where the four pigs come in.
Pays are modest at the top and thin at the bottom, which is standard for a game that puts its money into the features:
- Piggies Prize Party logo: 0.3x / 1.2x / 2x for three, four, five
- Black cat-pig silhouette: 0.2x / 0.6x / 1.2x
- Disco ball, Martini glass, Cake: 0.2x / 0.4x / 1x each
- K and A: 0.1x / 0.3x / 0.6x each
- The royals at the bottom are thinner still, with Q, J and 10 paying 0.1x, 0.2x and 0.4x across the same three-of-a-kind steps
Coin Symbols
Coins sit in front of the normal reel symbols, revealed when a Gift Box opens. In the base game they can be red, green, blue or yellow. Each colour feeds the piggy bank of the same colour, growing the bank, adding to its counter, or triggering its feature outright.
During Prize Pot free spins the range widens to blue, bronze, green, purple, yellow and red, and each colour does a different job inside that round.
Golden Bet
A toggle on the left of the reels increases the stake by 50% and boosts the chance of triggering one or more of the free spins features or the wheel. It’s a flat uplift with no strategy to it: you’re paying half again for better odds at the bonus round, nothing more.
Piggies Prize Party Bonus Features & Free Spins
Red Free Spins
Red coins feed the Red Piggy Bank. Each one can grow the bank, increase the spin count, or trigger the feature, which awards the built-up number of red spins on display. The count is variable, so a long build pays out as a longer round.
Green Free Spins
Green coins work the same way for the Green Piggy Bank, and the green feature is an elimination round. Triggered on its own it awards seven spins with random symbols removed from the reels. If it triggers alongside a red piggy, the accumulated red spins play out on the green feature’s eliminated reels.
Blue Free Spins
The blue round is the prize pot game, and it’s the deepest of the three. There are six pots: four increasing and two fixed. Gift Boxes reveal coloured coins that add to a trail of two to six steps per pot, and completing a trail awards that pot’s value and resets it.
- Four pots increase in value as the feature runs; two are fixed
- Trails run from two to six steps, one per pot
- Completing a trail pays the pot and resets it
- At least one pot prize is guaranteed in every round
- All pots reset to their starting values when the feature ends, awarded or not
On its own, the blue feature awards seven spins. Combined with a red piggy, the accumulated red spin count plays out as prize pot spins instead.
Combination Features
More than one feature can trigger at once from the base game. When red spins are part of the combination, that built-up count applies to the whole thing; otherwise the combined round awards seven spins.
Gold Piggy Bonus Wheel
Gold coins grow the Gold Piggy Bank, raise the gold piggy count, or trigger the wheel. That’s a fortune wheel loaded with the piggies collected in the yellow bank, redistributed as extra red, green or blue piggies, alongside stake multiplier values and single-colour piggy segments.
One spin. The outcome can be a stake multiplier, a single or combination free spins feature, or a multiplier and a feature together. The more piggies banked before the trigger, the better the wheel looks.
Bonus Buy
Three options sit behind the buy button, and the step from the standard wheel to the super feature is a straight upgrade on spin counts:
- x40, Standard Wheel Feature: nine Red Spins, seven Green Spins with random eliminations, or seven Blue Spins with pots at reset values
- x50, Mystery Free Spins: Red Spins anywhere from nine to twenty, or the same seven Green or Blue rounds as above
- x60, Super Free Spins: fifteen Red Spins, or the same seven Green or Blue rounds
The maximum stake for the buy can differ depending on where you play. At the cheapest tier you’re paying forty stakes for a round the base game can hand you for nothing, so the value sits entirely in skipping the wait.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Playing Piggies Prize Party is a lot of waiting for pigs. The reels themselves rarely produce anything worth writing home about, and that’s by design: you’re here to fill piggy banks, one coin at a time, and the party only really starts when one of them bursts. If that slow build sounds appealing, this is your game, because the build is nearly all it offers between bonuses.
What Reflex have got right is the layering. The blue round in particular never leaves you empty-handed, and a red piggy landing mid-feature can turn a modest round into something much bigger. What they’ve got wrong is the price of admission: a 94.0% return is poor for a modern release, and it quietly taxes every one of those satisfying builds.
It suits patient players who enjoy watching a system fill up more than they enjoy big line hits, and it’ll lose anyone hunting a headline payout. The pigs dance well. They just don’t pay like they party.
Piggies Prize Party FAQs
-
What is the RTP of Piggies Prize Party?
The expected return (RTP) is 94.0%. That’s on the low side for a modern slot, so the features are carrying the appeal rather than the maths. -
How do you trigger free spins in Piggies Prize Party?
Gift Box symbols open to reveal coloured coins, and each colour feeds the piggy bank of the same colour. Coins can grow the bank, increase its counter, or trigger that colour’s free spins feature outright, and more than one feature can trigger at the same time. -
What does the Green Piggy feature do in Piggies Prize Party?
The green round is an elimination feature. It awards seven spins with random symbols removed from the reels, which thins the grid so the remaining symbols connect more easily. Pair it with a red piggy and the spins you’d banked for the red feature run on the stripped-back reels instead. -
What is guaranteed in the Blue Prize Pot free spins?
At least one pot prize is guaranteed in every blue round. Six pots are in play, four increasing and two fixed, and completing a coin trail of two to six steps awards that pot’s value and resets it. All pots return to their starting values when the feature ends. -
How much does the Bonus Buy cost in Piggies Prize Party?
There are three options: x40 your stake for a Standard Wheel Feature, x50 for a Mystery Free Spins feature, and x60 for a Super Free Spins feature with fifteen Red Spins or seven Green or Blue Spins. The maximum buy stake can vary by casino. -
What does the Golden Bet do in Piggies Prize Party?
Golden Bet raises the cost of every spin by half again in exchange for better odds of reaching the features. Nothing about the free spins or the wheel changes; only the frequency of triggering them does. -
What is the hit frequency of Piggies Prize Party?
The hit frequency is 40.48%, so roughly two spins in five land a win of some size. With medium volatility, those wins skew small in the base game while the piggy banks do the building. -
Who makes Piggies Prize Party?
Piggies Prize Party is made by Reflex, a studio whose catalogue includes titles like Fat Cats DoubleMax and Paddy’s Pool Party.
