Wins occur when 3-6 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Mystery, Scatter, and Instant Prize symbols.

Expanding Rows

A game round begins with 3 rows unlocked, with the top 3 rows remaining locked. Winning combinations are removed from the reels, causing a locked row to unlock. This happens when a winning combination or Instant Prize win occurs.

The maximum amount of reels to unlock is 3, meaning a total of 6 rows can be in play at any one time. The rows unlock and expand from the lowermost row to the uppermost row respectively. At the start of a new spin, the top 3 rows will lock.

Expanding Wild

Landing a special Expanding Wild will cause the reel to be covered in individual Wilds, including all unlocked row positions.

The Expanding Wild will reveal a Multiplier value of x2, x3, or x5 which is applied to all wins it is a part of. In Free Spins, the Expanding Wild will unlock all locked rows and expand to cover the entire reel.

Converter into Wild Symbol

When a Converter into Wild symbol appears, it will spin through High and Low-paying symbols visible on unlocked rows during the current game round. When a symbol is revealed, all symbols of the same type will be converted into Wilds, including the Converter into Wild symbol.

Mystery Symbols

Mystery symbols in the form of Seaweed can appear on all reels in the base game and Free Spins round. When in view, they will reveal the same High or Low-paying symbol from the paytable.

Razor Reveal Feature

When Mystery symbols appear on at least 3 consecutive reels, they transform into Golden Shark symbols, triggering the Razor Reveal Feature. Mystery symbols may also transform into Golden Shark symbols regardless of their position.

Bigger isn’t always better, and while Razor Returns is 4 times as capable as Razor Ways, we find it hard to argue for its superiority over this. Fun should always be the main objective when playing slots, and Razor Ways is a lot of fun. Razor Ways ditches pay lines in favour of ways, and other significant changes make it a different ballgame to those before it. The Wild Converter Symbol is an incredibly exciting feature, especially when more than one lands at once. This feature opens up the game significantly, and the Expanding Rows, Expanding Wild, Mystery Symbols and the beloved Razor Reveal Features confirm it as a slot absolutely stuffed with features.
