Royal Dragon Infinity Reels Slot Review
A gold temple frame sits propped among jagged rose-coloured peaks, mist pooling in a Chinese mountain valley as the sky turns pink, and inside that frame a slot quietly rewrites itself every time you win. That’s the claim worth making about Royal Dragon Infinity Reels: it’s one of the few games where a single spin can genuinely snowball, because every added reel feeds a multiplier that never stops growing. ReelPlay built it on the same expanding-grid idea as their West Coast Cash Infinity Reels, but it’s a leaner, meaner ReelPlay machine than that one.
The maths runs at 95.8% RTP with medium-high volatility, and every spin starts on a 3×4 grid that can grow rightwards without limit, with wins climbing to a maximum of 10,000x the bet through the Free Spins Gamble. ReelPlay’s other work, Hercules 10K Ways and Dragons vs GigaBlox, takes busier routes to big pays. This one takes the long road, one reel at a time.
Base Game & Features
Infinity Reels
Every spin begins with three reels. If the rightmost reel improves any symbol combination, a fourth reel is added to the right and spun; if that reel improves a combination too, a fifth arrives, and so on for as long as the run continues. There’s no upper limit on how many reels can stack up.
- All spins start with three reels
- A new reel is added whenever the rightmost reel improves any symbol combination
- Wins are settled once no new reel is added
- No limit on the number of reels that can be added
Symbols pay from left to right, and pays are calculated as the number of participating symbols multiplied by the symbol’s paytable value. Coinciding wins for different symbols are added together. The Gong is the exception: it pays in any position once five or more take part.
Symbol Multiplier
Each new reel added doesn’t just extend the grid. It raises a Symbol Multiplier, applied to all symbol wins, by 1. The multiplier starts at 1 in every new game and has no ceiling, so a long reel run and a growing multiplier compound each other.
That’s the whole engine of the base game. One chain feeds the other: reels raise the multiplier, the multiplier raises every win the reels produce.
The Wild Dragon substitutes for all symbols except the Gong. It can land across multiple positions on the same spin, and it never stands in for the scatter that opens the bonus round.
Frenzy Spins
Any base game spin may arrive as a Frenzy Spin. When it does, a multiplier of x2, x3, x4 or x5 is applied to that spin’s prizes only, including any extra reels the spin produces.
There’s a knock-on effect if the bonus lands at the same time. Free Spins triggered from a Frenzy Spin start with the Frenzy multiplier folded into the Symbol Multiplier, and where both apply on one spin, the Frenzy multiplier is applied to the Symbol Multiplier itself.
Infinity Bonus
The reel chase has a finish line of sorts. Any spin that results in twelve or more reels being added awards the Infinity Bonus, a flat prize of 200x total bet. Only the Frenzy Spin multiplier is applied to that prize; the Symbol Multiplier is not.
It’s a long shot by design, and the prize doesn’t scale with how far past twelve you run. Twelve extra reels or twenty, the payout is the same 200x.
Royal Dragon Infinity Reels Free Spins & Bonus Features
Free Spin Feature
A Gong symbol win in the base game opens the round. That pays 7 Free Spins to start, plus 1 extra spin for every triggering Gong count above 5. The round keeps the same bet as the triggering spin.
The Symbol Multiplier doesn’t reset between individual free spins, so the number you leave the base game with is the number the round starts from. If the trigger came from a Frenzy Spin, that multiplier is baked in too.
Inside the round, the multiplier’s growth rate becomes a game of its own. On any winning spin the Symbol Multiplier Increment, the amount each added reel raises the multiplier, climbs by 1 up to a maximum of 5. On a losing spin it drops by 1, to a floor of 1. Winning streaks accelerate the ladder; dry spins take the edge off it.
- Trigger: any Gong symbol win in the base game
- Award: 7 Free Spins, plus 1 per triggering Gong count above 5
- Retrigger: a Gong win during the round adds 2 spins
- Bet: the same as the triggering spin
- Symbol Multiplier: carried in, never reset between spins
Symbol Elimination
The round’s sharpest idea is that the reels get emptier as it goes. Any symbol that pays a win during Free Spins, other than the Wild, the Scatter and the top-paying symbol, is removed from the reels for the rest of the feature, some replaced by blanks.
Only the Wild Dragon, the Gong and the top symbol are guaranteed to stay. The longer the round runs, the more the grid concentrates on the symbols that matter.
That concentration has a second effect. With the elimination thinning the low payers out, the Gongs that remain have fewer rivals for space when a retrigger is on.
Free Spins Gamble
When the round ends there’s a gamble on the total win. The wagered amount is everything the Free Spins paid, the multiplier starts at 1x, and you can collect at any point or push for the next step, up to 5x the total.
Losing a gamble, or reaching the highest enabled multiplier, ends the feature and pays out where you stand. The gambled feature is capped at 10,000x total bet, and any multiplier step that would exceed that cap is disabled rather than offered.
Buy Bonus
Where the jurisdiction allows it, the Free Spin Feature can be bought outright. The buy always awards an initial 9 Free Spins at the current bet, with a 12-segment wheel spin determining the starting Symbol Multiplier.
The bought round then plays by the same rules as a natural trigger, gamble included. It’s the same feature with a guaranteed door in.
- Buy price: 66.666667x current bet
- Awarded spins: 9
- Starting multiplier: set by a 12-segment wheel spin
- Buy Bonus RTP: 96.9%
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Playing this is mostly watching a small win try to become a big one. The mountain valley stays still, the gold frame stays still, and the only thing that moves is the grid, stretching right one reel at a time. That slow stretch is exactly why somebody picks this over a thousand faster games: nowhere else does a two-coin win feel like it might still be going somewhere ten reels later.
The Free Spins round is the best thing here, because it rewards the patience the base game demands. It carries your multiplier in, strips the losing symbols off the reels as they pay, and leaves a board where every win matters more than the last. The Infinity Bonus, by contrast, is weak: a flat 200x for a twelve-reel run that the maths almost never grants, and which doesn’t pay a penny more at twenty.
So it’s for players who love a build and can sit through the three-reel spells in between. Anyone chasing frequent bonus rounds or instant spectacle will find it slow. But for a patient bankroll, there’s real pleasure in watching the dragon’s gold frame stretch to hold what it’s paying you.
