Secret Fortunes Power Combo Slot Review
A weathered stone frame deep in rainforest, three gold-banded treasure chests mounted above the reels like trophies. Secret Fortunes Power Combo hides nearly everything it pays inside those chests: this is a game where the base reels hand out pocket change while the real money waits in the jungle behind them. From Just For The Win Studios, it’s a slot that keeps almost all of its rewards out of reach until the bonus opens.
It’s built on the Power Combo formula the studio has already run on Amazing Catch Cold Rush Power Combo and Stellarcade Power Combo. It runs a 6×4 grid with 4,096 Ways, 96.00% RTP, stakes from 0.20 to 50.00, and a bonus where the features stack rather than replace each other.
Three chests, three keys, one jungle. Whether they’re all worth opening is the question.
Base Game & Features
The base game pays across 4,096 Ways. A Way pays if matching symbols appear in succession on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost position, and a symbol’s position on a reel doesn’t matter. Only the highest win per Way is paid, and simultaneous wins on different Ways are added together.
The total bet is built from an initial bet multiplied by the cost of the ways played. The initial bet works out as the current total bet divided by a way cost of 10, which is worth knowing when comparing stake sizes against the money symbol values below.
Wild symbols substitute for everything except money, token and Collect symbols, and always pay the highest possible winning combination on a Way. They carry no multipliers of their own.
The real machinery is the money and Collect symbols. Money symbols can appear anywhere on the reels in both the base game and Free Spins, each carrying a random value or one of four prizes:
- Money symbol values: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x and 10x the current bet
- MINI pays 15x the current bet
- MINOR is worth 40x
- MAJOR steps up to 200x
- MEGA tops the ladder at 5,000x the current bet
The MEGA can only be awarded once in a game round, and it’s the only prize on the ladder with any reach. The drop below it is steep: three of the four prizes sit at or under the MAJOR, and the biggest of the standard money values is barely a tenth of the MINOR prize.
In the base game, the Collect symbol exists only on reel 6. When one lands, every money symbol on the same spin has its value added up and paid out as a single award. No Collect, no payout – the money symbols simply sit there until one does.
The three token symbols represent Giant Reels, Multi-Collect and Cash Reel, and they exist on all reels in both game modes. Every token landing carries a chance to trigger Free Spins.
The collection pots displayed in the game are purely visual. They don’t influence the chance of triggering Free Spins, so there’s no meter to fill and no progress to bank; the trigger is chance-based on each token landing.
Secret Fortunes Power Combo Free Spins & Power Combos
Free Spins always starts with 10 free spins. What varies is how many features come along. The trigger rules work like this:
- One token lands and triggers the bonus: one feature is active
- Two different tokens land together: both features are active from the first spin
- All three different tokens land together: all three features run at once
Inside Free Spins, the round can still grow. Any non-active token that lands can trigger its feature, and triggering a new feature awards +3 spins. Only one dormant feature can wake per spin, so a round can’t jump from one feature to all three in a single hit.
Tokens for already-active features aren’t wasted either: they can also award +3 spins. A round that starts with a single feature can therefore end with all three and a much longer spin count than it began with.
Giant Reels
The reel area expands from 6×4 to 6×6, and the Ways jump from 4,096 to 46,656. On its own that just means more win lines. Stacked with the other two features, it multiplies everything they do, because there are more reels carrying money symbols and more positions for Collects to land.
Multi-Collect
Collect symbols are no longer stuck on reel 6; they can land on all reels. When several land on one spin, the total of all money symbols is paid once for each Collect symbol. Two Collects pay the board twice, three pay it three times. Three Collects on a loaded board is where the big arithmetic lives.
Cash Reel
On every spin, one reel between 2 and 5 is randomly selected to contain only money symbols. The reel is chosen fresh each spin, so it can move from one spin to the next or stay put. It guarantees Collect fodder every spin, which matters most when Multi-Collect is active and every money symbol can be paid out several times over.
The full stack is the point of the series: a 6×6 board, a guaranteed cash reel, and Collects on every reel can turn a single spin into something the base game never hints at.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Most of a session on Secret Fortunes Power Combo is spent waiting for the chests to open, and that waiting is the whole reason to play it: no other round changes shape the way this one can, growing from one feature to three while the spin counter climbs. The jungle is quiet in between, and the base game won’t pretend otherwise.
The best thing here is the stacking. A cash reel of money symbols collected three times over on a 6×6 board is arithmetic nothing in the base game prepares you for, and the +3 spins each new feature brings give the round room to get there.
The worst thing is the ladder underneath. Three of the four prizes don’t reach 200x, and the 5,000x MEGA lands at most once per round, so big wins have exactly one shape. This suits players who enjoy a bonus that arrives differently every time; it’ll frustrate anyone who wants the reels themselves to carry the game. For the patient, the chests are still full.
