Sizzling Kingdom Bison Slot Review
A moonlit forest clearing, framed in carved timber with the bark grain still showing, is a strange place to house three separate bonus engines. Sizzling Kingdom Bison hides its ambition well: the storybook painting suggests a gentle evening’s spin, while underneath sits one of the busiest hold-and-collect builds Wazdan have shipped on a 10-line grid.
Wazdan have built it on a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 10 fixed bet lines, running at 96.12% RTP with a 5,000x maximum win. It’s a richer feature set than you’ll find in their 9 Coins Grand Diamond Edition, though Sizzling Eggs Extremely Light fans will recognise the coin-collecting bones underneath.
The forest is quiet; the maths underneath it isn’t.
How the Kingdom Pays
Wins need at least three matching symbols on a bet line, paying left to right across consecutive reels. Only the highest win per line is paid, and wins from different lines are added together. With 10 lines on a 6×4 grid, the base game is deliberately lean.
The Wild substitutes for everything except Bonus and Scatter symbols, and it can appear in four sizes, occupying one to four positions on a reel. Two full-size Wilds anywhere on the reels trigger the Wild Rampage Bonus Game, so the bigger Wilds carry weight beyond substitution.
A full-size Wild is a four-position commitment from a single reel, which is why landing two of them is rare enough to matter.
Sticky Cash and Collector symbols also stick to the reels for up to 10 spins in the base game, improving the odds of pulling six Bonus symbols together. When a Sticky symbol is present, the outcome of the remaining non-sticky positions is entirely random, so there’s no fixed script for how a sticky run resolves.
It’s a base game built to lean towards its bonuses rather than to pay its own way.
Free Spins
Scatters award the round in a steeply stepped ladder, and the retrigger ladder inside the feature is even kinder at the bottom end:
- Three Scatters award 8 Free Spins
- Four Scatters award 15 Free Spins
- Five Scatters award 25 Free Spins
- Six Scatters award 100 Free Spins
- In the feature, two, three, four, five or six Scatters add a further 5, 8, 15, 25 or 100 spins
Cash and Sticky Cash symbols carry prizes of 1x to 10x the bet, but their values can only be won when a Collector symbol takes them. A Cash symbol on its own, at the end of the round, is worth nothing; the whole economy of the feature runs through the Collector.
Sticky Cash symbols hold their value on the reels for up to 10 spins while they wait to be collected. Collectors sit on the top row with the Collect to Infinity feature active, gathering everything drawn on the reel below for the whole round.
When the feature ends, the prize is the sum of bet line wins and Collector values, so a well-fed Collector on a busy reel can outearn every payline in the round combined.
Hold the Jackpot Bonus Game
Six or more Bonus symbols of any type in the base game starts the headline round, played on 30 reels. All Bonus symbols stick, three Re-Spins are granted, and every new Bonus symbol resets the count to three. The round runs until the Re-Spins are spent or all 30 positions fill, which awards the GRAND Jackpot of up to 5,000x the bet.
The GRAND ladder has four levels, and Level Up symbols raise it one step at a time to level four. The ladder shown in play runs 500x, 1,000x, 1,500x and 5,000x the stake, so the level you reach decides how much a full board is worth.
A whole supporting cast of symbols works the grid during the round:
- Cash symbols pay 1x to 10x the bet
- Collector symbols take a random countdown from 1 to 10 and gather Cash values from the reel below until the countdown runs out
- Countdown Booster symbols add 3 to a Collector’s countdown
- Collect to Infinity symbols set a Collector’s countdown to infinity, keeping it active to the end
- Cash Rain symbols drop 4 Cash symbols onto the reel below, and stack onto occupied positions by raising the value
- Mystery symbols can become Collector, Cash, Cash Rain or Level Up symbols, and open one by one when the round ends
- Gallop symbols carry a 2x to 10x multiplier, walk the longer path towards the first or sixth reel, and leave multiplied Cash symbols behind, multiplying any they pass through
Collector, Mystery and Cash Rain symbols only land on the top row; the rest only on the bottom reels. Collector modifier symbols can also appear on the bottom reels, altering the Collector above them before turning into a 1x Cash symbol.
Bonus symbols pay at the end of the round, unless the GRAND Jackpot is won instead, and the GRAND stands alone as the game’s maximum prize.
Wild Rampage Bonus Game
Two full-size Wilds trigger the third round, which runs on the same three-Re-Spin engine with Wilds instead of coins. All Wilds stick, each new one resets the count to three, and filling all 24 positions with Wilds pays the GRAND Jackpot of up to 5,000x the bet at the level you’ve reached.
Level Up symbols raise the GRAND level by one, up to level four, then turn into another Wild once they’ve done their job. Wilds pay as bet line wins at the end of the round, unless the GRAND Jackpot is won, in which case it stands alone.
Where the Hold the Jackpot round pays the sum of symbol values, this one pays line wins, so a filled board pays through both routes at once.
Bonus games run at the bet level and Volatility Level of the triggering spin. Using the Buy Feature, they can be started at Extreme Volatility, characterised by even bigger wins than the other levels, which is the closest the game comes to a difficulty setting.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Playing Sizzling Kingdom Bison mostly means waiting in a very pretty forest. The base game’s job is to assemble Bonus symbols and full-size Wilds, and the sticky symbols quietly improve its chances of doing exactly that. One reason to pick it over a plainer coin slot: three different routes into a bonus, not one.
The strength is Hold the Jackpot’s depth. The Gallop symbol and its walked multiplier do real work on the grid, and the four-level GRAND ladder means a full board pays anywhere from 500x to 5,000x depending on how many Level Ups you caught along the way. That’s a genuine range of outcomes, not one flat prize.
The weakness is clutter. A dozen special symbols spread across two rounds built on the same engine, and the first hour goes on learning which ones matter. It’s a slot for people who enjoy machinery under a calm exterior; anyone after a quick, simple spin will find the kingdom overbuilt, however lovely the moonlight.
