Snoop Dogg Dollars Slot Review
BGaming is dropping it like it’s hot in their first Celebrity-branded slot featuring the legendary D.O.G.G, in Snoop Dogg Dollars!
Snoop Dogg emerged under the guidance of another legend Dr. Dre in the early 90’s, and since then he’s become a worldwide superstar. He’s renowned for several things, including his profound influence on Hip-Hop and rap, his charismatic persona and his love for ‘herbal remedies’.
He truly is a pop culture icon, and to this date, he’s appeared in video games, movies, and adverts globally solidifying his status as a truly versatile figure. In Snoop Dogg Dollars, he’s hitting the reels and he’s interested only in getting high and high paying symbols.
Base Game & Features
Snoop Dogg Dollars is a highly volatile 6×8 Video Slot featuring a Cluster Pays mechanic and varying bet sizes between £0.25 per spin and £25 per spin. Other statistics include an overall RTP of 96% and a max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
Wins occur when 6-15+ matching symbols land horizontally or vertically adjacent on the grid. Three Dogs make up high-paying symbols, awarding wins between 0.4x and 120x your bet, while the 4 low-paying symbols pay anywhere between 0.1x and 32x your bet.
Winning clusters are removed and replaced by new symbols that drop from above, via a Cascade Feature. This enables further wins to occur from a single spin.
Multiplier Area
When a winning cluster occurs and is removed and replaced with new symbols, each position is marked. If the next win occurs within a marked position, a Multiplier of x2 is awarded.
Each win to occur on top of an active Multiplier will increment its value by +x2. Wins that include more than 1 Multiplier will be added and applied to the win.
Digging Up a Symbol
When a cluster of winning symbols has already been removed, but the empty positions have not yet been filled, 1 of 4 special symbols can be dug up to fill its position – These include:
- Wilds
- Scatters
- Weed symbols
- Skull symbols
Sticky Wilds
When in view on the grid, Wild symbols can stick to their positions and remain there until the end of the Cascade Feature.
Weed Symbol
Weed symbols can be dug up on empty positions before being filled with new symbols. This symbol will upgrade all active Multipliers in view and disappear.
Skull Symbol
The Skull is another symbol that can be dug up in an empty position before being filled with new symbols. This symbol destroys all Low-paying symbols in view without payment before disappearing.
Snoop Spin
Activating the Snoop Spin will cost £20 per spin on a £1 stake. Once active, it guarantees at least 1 Wild symbol to be dug up at the start of the spin. This feature remains active until you deactivate it. The max win rate with this feature is 1/4,600.
Bonus Buy
Non-UK players have access to 4 Bonus Buy options which trigger 3-6 Scatters – These include:
- Regular: No Wild guaranteed (100x your bet)
- 1 Wild Guaranteed: 200x your bet
- 2 Wilds Guaranteed: 400x your bet
- All Scatter transform into Wilds: 800x your bet
Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 12, 15, and 20 Free Spins respectively. Once active, the triggering Scatters will transform into Wild symbols or Grid Multipliers of x10.
Landing the same number of Scatters during this time will award additional Free Spins. In Free Spins, grid Multipliers do not reset or remove, and increase each time a winning cluster is formed on top of them.
Our Verdict
We confess ourselves sometimes underwhelmed with games that take on the branding of real-life musicians, bands or persons. Can the game carry its own weight? or is it looking to its icon to carry it on its shoulders?
Thankfully, Snoop Dogg Dollars is a great game, and in this case, it’s made better because of Snoop Dogg’s influence, not because of it.
Its art style is convincingly excellent, as is its music and soundtrack. You’d expect that much from a game from one of the world’s most iconic musicians, but sometimes that’s where its appeal ends.
Snoop Dogg Dollars is excellent at every turn, with a cluster pay mechanic and marked Multiplier positions that can increase to exponentially boost wins. Free Spins is quite predictable with what it does with those multipliers by keeping them persistent throughout the bonus round, and there’s an extra cherry on the joint with the transformation of scatter symbols into Wilds or Multipliers of x10
It’s both entertaining and exciting in the Base Game and Free Spins as a slot that is choc full of beloved features. It’s quite close to Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush, but more capable even if the multiplier is capped lower. It doesn’t quite outperform Sugar Rush 1000, but it’s impressive enough
Overall, Snoop Dogg Dollars is, dare we say, the best branded slot we’ve seen thus far.
