Super 30 Stars Slot Review
Magenta light streaks between the reel columns, silver stars stud the chrome frame, and green neon tubes climb both edges of the cabinet. Super 30 Stars is a fruit machine dressed for a night out: sevens, BARs and bells under violet lights, with a jackpot ladder glowing above the reels.
Red Rake Gaming have left the classic symbols exactly as they’ve always been and built the interesting parts around them. The 5×3 grid runs at 95.3% RTP, with Minor, Major and Grand jackpots above the reels and the Grand as the biggest prize on offer. The studio treads similar ground in Million 777 Pot and Million Zeus 2, and Piggy Vegas shows the same taste for bright, feature-stacked reels.
The neon gets you seated. What happens after that is a matter of timing, and the game’s own arithmetic.
The Base Game and Its Paytable
Wins pay left to right across the grid, and where a line pays more than one win, only the highest combination counts. The wild substitutes for every symbol except the SPIN, 5 BAR, Super Stars and Bonus symbols, and it’s the richest symbol in the game.
Beyond that, it’s the classic cast: three coloured sevens, BARs, a bell and a cherry. The values below are multiples of the total bet.
- Wild – 1x for three, 6.6667x for four, 33.3333x for five
- 7 (fire) – 0.8333x, 6.6667x, 16.6667x
- 7 (red) – 0.6667x, 1.3333x, 8.3333x
- 7 (plain) – 0.5x, 2x, 6.6667x
- 5 BAR – 1x, 1.3333x, 3.3333x
- Mixed Sevens (any combination) – 0.3333x, 1x, 2x
- Bell – 0.1667x, 1x, 1.6667x
- BAR – 0.1667x, 0.6667x, 1.6667x
- Cherry – 0.1667x, 0.6667x, 1.6667x
- 5 BAR/BAR mixed (any combination) – 0.1667x, 0.5x, 1x
The mixed-symbol rows are worth a second glance: any combination of the three sevens pays, and so does any mix of the two BAR symbols. That gives the lower end of the paytable more ways to connect than a strict five-of-a-kind read suggests.
It’s a paytable built for steady small returns rather than single-line fireworks. The serious money lives in the modifier features and the jackpot ladder, and both arrive on the game’s own schedule. An autospin function with a running spin counter handles the repetitive side, and a single tap stops it mid-run.
Super 30 Modifier Features
The Super 30 Multiplier Reel
The Super 30 Stars Extra Wild appears on the reels at random, and when it activates it triggers the multiplier reel. That reel lands in the centre of the grid and picks a multiplier at random from x2, x4, x6, x10 or x20.
Whichever value is chosen expands to cover the entire middle reel, and it works as a wild while it’s there. A single activation can therefore deliver a full wild reel carrying a multiplier as high as 20x. That’s the feature the game is named for, and it’s the one capable of turning the modest paytable into something considerably bigger.
Sticky Wins
When the Super 25 Stars symbol is activated alongside a win, every symbol that contributed to that win, plus the Super 25 Stars symbol itself, locks in place and a respin launches. The respins keep coming for as long as new winning combinations land. Once no new win forms, the total payment is made and the spin ends.
Each respin also advances the multiplier panel by one step, and the wins from the spin are increased by that multiplier. It’s a build-and-hold loop: the longer the streak runs, the higher the multiplier climbs.
There’s a second layer of timing to it. The win is awarded first, the freeze and respin follow, and the multiplier only applies to what the respins produce after the panel has moved. So the feature rewards streaks of new wins rather than one lucky line, which keeps the tension running across several respins.
Crystal Symbols
The Crystal Symbol feature is launched by a glowing star in the lower section of the reels. That first glowing star marks the reel where a symbol will become crystallised. Once the reels finish falling, a second star may light up on the right-hand side, indicating the row.
Between them, the two stars pick out a single position on the grid, one signal for the reel and one for the row. The second star is random, so the feature doesn’t resolve until the reels have stopped. It’s a quietly unusual mechanic, more positioning than spectacle, and it sits apart from the wild-and-multiplier work happening around it.
The Jackpot Ladder
Above the reels sit three fixed-tier jackpots: Minor, Major and Grand. The ladder’s credit values move with the stake, so they’re best read against a reference bet: at a total bet of 3, the Minor shows 30, the Major 120 and the Grand 900.
The Grand is the game’s top prize, a target worth working towards rather than a life-changer. Between the ladder, the 20x multiplier reel and the sticky respins, the potential stacks up in layers: several mid-sized systems that can overlap in a single spin, with the Grand the biggest prize among them.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
For most of a session, Super 30 Stars is an ordinary fruit machine with excellent lighting, and it’s happy being that. Sevens line up, small wins tick over, and the reels glow their violet glow. The reason to pick it over a plainer classic is that the middle reel can turn into a x20 wild without warning, and when that happens the game changes character in a single spin.
That multiplier reel is the strength, because it’s the only part of the build that can turn a paytable of fractions into real money, and Sticky Wins compounds it beautifully. The weakness is that everything interesting fires at random with no rhythm to it: the base game alone won’t carry a session, and the waits between features have no pattern you can lean on.
This is one for players who love the old symbols but want machinery humming around them, and a Grand worth 900 on a bet of 3 is a satisfying target rather than a fortune. Anyone after enormous single wins should look elsewhere. The rest can pull up a stool and enjoy the neon.
