Super Mummy Link Slot Review
Golden pharaoh statues stand over a torch-lit temple courtyard, each resting on a mound of glowing red, green and blue gems. Most slots would use those gems as decoration; Super Mummy Link uses them as its entire structure, because the colour of the symbols you land decides which version of the bonus you get. It’s a genuinely clever way to build variety into one round rather than five, and it’s the reason Fugaso can get away with a base game this spare.
The 5×3 grid sits underneath as a waiting room, with a jackpot ladder above it topping out at a 1,000x GRAND. It plays much the same hand as Fugaso’s other coin-collecting rounds in slots like 3X Atomic Coins and Super Thunder Express, and it’s the tightest expression of the formula the studio have shipped yet. Whether tight is what you want is the question the reels will answer.
The Base Game
The reels are framed by those gem-hoarding statues, and the symbols keep the Egyptian register: the Eye of Horus, a sacred cat, canopic jars, and the J through A card royals as the low end. A Wild symbol appears on the reels too, standing in for other symbols, though the game doesn’t spell out any special behaviour beyond that.
Spins otherwise play out plainly. Wins form on the 5×3 grid, coins carrying cash values land during play, and the base game’s real job is to keep the bonus symbols coming. Everything of consequence routes into the round the statues are guarding.
Three of those gem colours matter, one per pharaoh, and each corresponds to a Bonus symbol colour. The statues labelled MULTI, DOUBLE and EXTRA above the reels are the permanent clue to what the round can do:
- MULTI matches the Green Bonus symbol’s Multiplier feature
- DOUBLE matches the Red Bonus symbol’s Double Reels feature
- EXTRA matches the Blue Bonus symbol’s Extra Re-Spin feature
The ladder above the reels is the constant reminder of what’s at stake, four rungs from MINI to GRAND, each one climbing while you wait for the colours to arrive.
The TRINITY LINK Bonus Game
Land one or more Coloured Bonus symbols and there’s a chance the TRINITY LINK round kicks off. It opens with three re-spins, and from that point only Bonus symbols can appear on the reels. The colour of the triggering symbols decides which features come along for the ride, and a single spin can bring any, several or all of them at once.
The round runs on a simple set of rules, and each one matters to how a bonus plays out:
- Red Bonus symbols in a single spin may trigger the bonus with the Double Reels feature
- Green Bonus symbols in a single spin may trigger the bonus with the Multiplier feature
- Blue Bonus symbols in a single spin may trigger the bonus with the Extra Re-Spin feature
- Landing additional symbols during the round resets the re-spin count, to three normally or four in the Extra Re-Spin feature
- The round ends when the re-spins run out or every position on the reels is filled
Once it’s under way, the round plays out beat by beat. Each Bonus symbol that lands locks into position with its win value displayed on it, and the re-spin counter climbs back to its reset mark. When every position is filled or the re-spins are finished, the round settles: the locked symbol values pay out, and any jackpot the grid has earned arrives with them.
Double Reels
Red is the straightforward one in name: landing one or several Red Bonus symbols in a single spin may trigger the round with the Double Reels feature. Beyond that name, the game’s rules don’t spell out what Double Reels adds to the round mechanically.
Multiplier
Green symbols carry the Multiplier feature into the round. The pharaoh busts above the reels collect the coin values that fly towards them, and the multiplier applies its arithmetic to what the round has gathered. It’s the colour that turns a modest grid into a serious one.
Extra Re-Spin
Blue is the endurance option. In the Extra Re-Spin feature, landing additional symbols resets the count to four rather than the usual three, buying another spin of survival in a round where every re-spin is a chance to fill the grid. The reset rule is what keeps the round alive: as long as symbols keep landing, the bonus keeps breathing.
The symbols themselves carry their win values printed on them, so a full grid reads as a running total rather than a set of paytable lookups. And the total is capped only by the grid: fill every position and the GRAND JACKPOT pays on top.
The Jackpot Ladder
Four fixed rungs sit above the reels, and they’re tied to the stake rather than to a progressive pot. At any bet, the ladder scales with it:
- MINI pays 15x the bet
- MINOR pays 30x the bet
- MAJOR pays 100x the bet
- GRAND pays 1,000x the bet
The GRAND is the round’s prize for perfection: every position filled, every symbol landed. It sits behind the hardest ask on the board, a completely full grid before the re-spins expire. The MAJOR and below can arrive inside the round too, paid from the symbol values themselves.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Playing Super Mummy Link is mostly watching the statues and waiting. There’s a reason to do exactly that: when the colours finally arrive, the round they open is the whole game, and it’s a good one, with a ladder the pharaohs are visibly holding over your head while you wait.
The strength is that no two bonuses feel the same, because the colours stack their features in different combinations and the re-spin reset means a round can keep climbing long after it looked finished. The weakness is everything around it: the base game has nothing to say, and the realistic prize for most rounds is a long way below the 1,000x GRAND the temple promises.
It’s for players who like one deep, escalating round and don’t mind an uneventful road to it, and for anyone who wants a busy base game, this isn’t the tomb. For those happy to wait on the pharaohs, though, the gems are worth collecting.
