The terrifying roster of fighters won’t stop until they become legend. They’ll punch, kick, elbow, choke and perhaps even bite those that stand between them and the champion title. We’re pretty sure the first rule of fight club is to not talk about it, but how can you not when the gritty underground scene puts on a show more electrifying than the UFC?

No referee is needed here, just two hulking fighters with bloodlust and their fists is all that’s needed to get this show on the road. Who will emerge as the GOAT? Our money is on Little Dragon..or will it be you?

You’re the underdog but Nolimit City gives the player all of the tools required to make it to the top. Don’t back down and don’t give up in a slot where you’re fighting to become the GOAT.

Winning combinations that form will explode to allow new symbols to drop in. Once this happens, all remaining symbols will tumble down and to the left before new symbols fall in.

Wild Knockout xBombs

Wild Knockout xBomb symbols can land randomly across the reel set, substituting for all other symbols except Scatters.

When in view, the Wild Knockout symbol will explode symbols in a cross pattern next to it, excluding Scatters and any other Wild Knockout symbols, increasing the Win Multiplier by +x1 for the next tumble.

All Wild Knockout symbols will explode before the next tumble.

Roundhouse Kick

The Roundhouse Kick feature is triggered in the base game when 3, 4, 5, or 6 of the same High or Low-paying symbols align diagonally when there is no winning combination.

The triggering symbols will be removed, creating a Wild symbol in the middle positions of the alignment as follows.

  • 3 Symbols – Award 1 Wild Knockout xBomb
  • 4 Symbols – Award 2 Wild Knockout xBombs
  • 5 Symbols – Award 3 Wild Knockout xBombs
  • 6 Symbols – Award 4 Wild Knockout xBombs

Wild Knockout xBomb explosions will increase the Win Multiplier by +x1 for the next tumble. All other symbols will explode except Knockout symbols and Scatters.

The Cage Roundhouse Kick Feature

The Cage Free Spins

Landing 3 Title Fight Scatters across the reels during the base game automatically triggers the Title Fight Free Spins round. The reel area transforms to 3, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, with four special Title Belt Booster positions in the middle of the reel set. Once active, wins are paid Both Ways.

The four Title Belt Boosters are inactive during the first Title Fight but will activate one by one when a new Title Belt is won. Each fight can be won by landing a number of blows to the opponent by landing the Uppercut symbol across the reels.

Each Uppercut symbol deducts -1 Hit Point from the opponent. When the opponent is knocked out, the Free Spins round will advance to the next available Level Fighter. Fighters have different Hit Points and will be tougher to knock out.

  • Fight 1 – Jim ‘Big Fatty’ Johnson – 3 Hit points and +3 Free Spins if knocked out.
  • Fight 2 – Kenny ‘Ironjaw’ Shambles – 3 Hit points and +3 Free Spins if knocked out.
  • Fight 3 – Artie ‘Once Glove Man’ Jefferson – 4 Hit points and +3 Free Spins if knocked out.
  • Fight 4 – Grayson ‘The Constrictor’ Royce – 5 Hit points and +5 Free Spins if knocked out.
  • Fight 5 – Wai ‘Little Dragon’ Le – Unlimited hit points.

A Title Belt will only activate once per spin, but if it is not used during the initial spin, it can be reactivated in the following tumbles. No more Uppercut symbols will appear during Fight 5. The only way to knock out Wai ‘Little Dragon’ Le is to become the Greatest of all Time.

  • Title Belt 1 (Symbol Multiplier) – Once ‘Big Fatty’ is beaten, the next fights will award a Symbol Multiplier booster. Any Low-paying symbols that land in this position will boost all instances of that particular symbol to x2.
  • Title Belts 2 & 3 (Symbol Transform) – Once ‘Ironjaw’ and ‘Once Glove Man’ are beaten, the next fights will award a Symbol Transform booster. Any Low-paying symbols that land in these positions will be transformed into the symbol of your opponent.
  • Title Belt 4 (Sticky Wild) – Once ‘The Constrictor’ is beaten and the Championship Title Fight is reached, the final level will award all previous Boosters with an additional Sticky Wild symbol in a special position.

The Cage: Our Verdict

The Cage is another creative masterpiece in our opinion. Nolimit City’s innovative mindset takes your breath away like a punch in the ribs from One Glove Man. You’re dazed and confused about how on earth they dream up concepts so drastically different from your conventional game and pull it off so brilliantly at that.

The popularity of Nolimit City slots ebbs and flows somewhat from one release to the next. Sometimes they might miss the mark a little bit, and it’s hard to recreate the successes that came with San Quentin, Mental, Das xBoot and others in what we like to call the ‘immortals’ club. That said, one thing has always remained true – nobody does it like Nolimit City.

Others chase market trends like fishing and megaways slots, but each and every time Nolimit City are at the drawing board carefully cultivating something special, even if it doesn’t have the widespread appeal of more conventional slots. They’re dedicated to their craft, and the love given to The Cage is as palpable as the blood, sweat and tears that stain the floor of the underground octagon.

The Base Game of The Cage is very capable and quite entertaining, but the Free Spins round makes you feel like an absolute unit as you lay waste to your opponents. After a few bonus buys we were walking around like we owned the place. We’re cutting queues everywhere and we just dare somebody to say something. Conventional rules just don’t apply to you after you play The Cage because you’re too stacked for anyone to say otherwise.

We lost fine motor function after playing The Cage so we’re just smashing our keyboard with our brick-like fists at this point. The testosterone overload is what makes The Cage entertaining, and the potential makes it worth the fight. If you’re hard enough to spark everyone out you’ll be rewarded with a 25,000x win and become the GOAT.

Overall, The Cage was a thoroughly entertaining and very capable slot with that Nolimit City dash of creativity that you just love to see.
