The King of Social Media Holiday Slot Review
A bearded man in a Santa hat sits shirtless in a stone hot tub, champagne flute in one hand, sunglasses on, snow-capped peaks behind him. Two companions in fur-trimmed outfits lean against the tub’s icy rim, a fairy-lit chalet glows up the slope, and a decorated Christmas tree stands at the edge of the frame. This is Betsoft‘s most committed Christmas fantasy, and the game underneath it is a single collect round doing all the earning.
It runs on a 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines, with a 10,000x ceiling per round, and the reels between features pay very little of it. The Queen of Social Media carried the same ceiling in 2026; The VIP treaded the same ground. This is the seasonal outing, and the hot tub never freezes over.
Symbols, Paylines and the Paytable
Wins pay left to right across the 20 fixed paylines. Only the highest combination counts on each line, and coinciding wins on different lines are added together. Payouts scale with the selected bet, so every value below is a multiple of the total stake.
The paytable is a ladder of holiday characters and luxury props, and it’s a steep one. Each step down from the premium characters costs the line pays dearly, and for a game whose round ceiling is 10,000x, the reels do very little of the earning. The full ladder, top to bottom:
- Man in purple ski jacket: 2.25x / 45x / 250x for three, four, five
- Woman in red dress: 1.5x / 10x / 50x
- Woman in blue ski jacket: 1x / 5x / 27.5x
- Woman in green ski jacket: 0.5x / 5x / 17.5x
- Yacht: 0.25x / 2x / 7.5x
- Red sports car: 0.25x / 1.25x / 5x
- Watch and champagne bucket with sparklers: 0.25x / 1.25x / 4x
Five-of-a-kind wins from the top symbols are worth having. Three-of-a-kind payouts from the props barely register. The paying game is a long way from the 10,000x ceiling, and the collect round is where the real money lives.
The WILD is a social-media likes icon, and it’s the only helping hand the base game offers: it substitutes for everything except the BONUS, COLLECT, +1 SPIN and EXPAND symbols, and it can only land on reels two, three, four and five.
There’s a nice touch of theme discipline in that. The only likes that pay here are the wild kind.
Hold & Win Feature
The headline round triggers on five or more scattered BONUS symbols plus at least one COLLECT symbol. BONUS coins land only on reels one, two, four and five and carry cash values from half the bet up to 50x, alongside the four jackpot symbols. COLLECT symbols appear only on reel three and don’t pay anything themselves.
Trigger it and you get nine respins. COLLECT symbols lock in place and gather the value of every BONUS symbol on reels one, two, four and five, jackpots included. The coins are then cleared off the board to make room for more.
The multiplying part is the detail that matters: if more than one COLLECT is present, each BONUS value is added to every COLLECT on screen. A board with two collectors turns one set of coins into two payouts, and three collectors into three.
Payable symbols don’t appear at all during the round, and the wild doesn’t either, so every respin is purely about what lands on the coin reels.
Two special symbols stretch the round. The +1 SPIN symbol adds one respin. The EXPAND symbol grows its reel by one position and adds a respin too, up to a maximum of five positions per reel; once a reel is fully grown, EXPAND symbols stop appearing on it.
When the respins run out, all accumulated COLLECT prizes are paid, and the round runs at the bet of the triggering spin.
The Jackpot Ladder
Four fixed prizes sit on the BONUS symbols, paid as multiples of the stake:
- MINI: 35x the bet
- MINOR: 120x the bet
- MAJOR: 500x the bet
- GRAND: 1,800x the bet
Because every COLLECT on screen banks each jackpot symbol it collects, the ladder can pay more than once in a single round. A GRAND with two collectors on screen is worth 3,600x before a single coin value is counted. That’s the mechanic that makes the maths interesting.
VIP Case and Pick Bonus
The VIP CASE is the base game’s randomiser. Any BONUS or COLLECT symbol that lands carries a chance of setting off one of two events.
The first event awards extra BONUS or COLLECT symbols, scattered randomly over existing symbols to force a Hold & Win trigger. The second opens a PICK BONUS with twelve face-down symbols: reveal them one at a time until you’ve matched three of a kind, and the matching prize is yours, from the same MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND ladder the respins use.
The Pick Bonus can’t be triggered any other way, so it’s a bonus-within-a-chance rather than a round you can aim for. Its prizes are the fixed ladder values, which means the GRAND is the best it can do.
Buy Bonus
Impatient players can skip the queue. Buying in costs 55x the current bet and starts the Hold & Win round straight away with its nine respins, played at the bet you set when you pressed the button. The purchased round follows exactly the same rules as a triggered one.
The price scales with your stake rather than sitting at a fixed figure, so it’s the same decision at every budget: whether one guaranteed round is worth 55 spins of the base game.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
This is mostly a waiting game in a Santa hat, and the waiting is easier to take because the hat is superb: hot-tub hedonism, champagne and icicles, all rendered with real affection. You spin a thin paytable, you watch for coins, and you sit in the tub until the round arrives.
When it does, the round is the best of its type Betsoft has built, because multiple collectors each bank every coin value and a GRAND can pay twice in one go. Everything before it is thin: the base game tops out at 250x on its best line, with one wild and a ladder of props paying fractions of the stake.
Collect-round devotees who like a slow build and don’t need the reels to entertain them between features will feel right at home in that tub. Players who want something happening on every spin will find the water cold. The champagne, at least, is always on ice.
