Vegas Rush Base Game and Features

Vegas Rush is a 5×5 Video Slot that features the MegaClusters mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 5 or more of the same symbols land either Horizontally or Vertically across the reel set.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€20 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Vegas Rush has a theoretical RTP of 96.44% and a max win cap of 33,050x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Diamond, followed by Cherries and Horseshoes. Low-paying symbols fall to Clovers, Triple Bars, Dice, and Poker Chips. Wilds substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable.

The MegaClusters mechanic is back in full swing, but for those who aren’t familiar with it, here’s how it works. MegaClusters is a special mechanic where winning symbols split and react.

Each time a winning combination is formed, each winning symbol will automatically split into 4 smaller symbols. When a winning combination forms using the smaller symbols, all symbols of the same size will drop down and new symbols will fall from above via a Cascade, filling all empty positions.

Mega Trail

Sat on the left of the reel set is an exciting Mega Trail, similar to that in Millionaire Rush before this. The Mega Trail is equipped with 12 rungs that are randomly determined with each base game spin.

The top position, rung 12, will always have a Bonus Prize of up to 1,000x your bet, and rung 7 will feature 6 Free Spins. In addition to this, a minimum of 3 random Bonuses will be added to the Mega Trail from the following list.

• Wilds – Adds up to 10 Wilds to the reel set at random.

• Win Multiplier – A random Multiplier of up to x11 is activated for the entire spin. (Bonus Prize is not multiplied)
• Max MegaClusters – All big symbols in view are transformed into 4 smaller symbols.
• Symbol Duplication – Five big symbols instances of the chosen symbol will be added in a row or column to the reel set.
• Symbol Explosion – Every instance of the chosen symbol will be removed from its row of columns.
• Explosions – Up to 3 explosions, in the same shape indicated, will remove all symbols in its path from the reel set.

When no more winning combinations are formed, the Mega Trail will reset back to the start, ready for the next paid base game spin.

Vegas Rush Free Spins

Triggering the Free Spins round is done by reaching rung 7 on the Mega Trail, which awards 6 Free Spins.

During Free Spins, an enhanced Mega Trail is randomly determined once for the entire Free Spins round, with a Bonus Prize on the top rung of up to 2,000x your bet.

Reaching rung 7 on the Mega Trail during this time will award an additional +3 Free Spins. In addition to this, at least 6 random Bonuses will be applied to the Mega Trail. With each new Free Spin, the Mega Trail will reset back to the start.

Vegas Rush: Our Verdict

Vegas Megaways is the second slot from Big Time Gaming to receive the rush of the MegaClusters treatment, but are we disappointed? Quite the opposite in fact.

Star Clusters Mega Clusters opened our eyes to the excitement that is the MegaClusters mechanic back in 2020, and since then Big Time Gaming has been slowly increasing the number of their slots that facilitate this mechanic ever since.

Although Vegas Rush and Millionaire Rush share similarities in gameplay, there are a few obvious differences in terms of statistics. If you’re looking to get the most out of your money, you’d be better suited to Millionaire Rush which has a pretty impressive max win cap of 55,060x, whereas Vegas Rush is slightly less at 33,050x.

Not everyone is a fan of the MegaClusters mechanic though, and when compared to the huge popularity of the Megaways mechanic, it’s still got a long way to go until it reaches that kind of audience.
