Wild Bandolier Slot Review 2024
Shoot your way to victory in Play’n GO’s latest Wild West release, Wild Bandolier!
With a gang of ruthless bandits on the run and wanted by the Law, it’s up to us to put a stop to their menacing crimes and restore the peace.
Hold on to your hats ladies and gents, there’s about to be a firing frenzy, and we’re caught right in the middle of it!
Wild Bandolier Base Game and Features
Wild Bandolier is a 5-reel slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€50 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.00% and a max win cap of 2,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Bandit, followed by the Sherrif, Gun, Whiskey Bottle, and Boots. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten. Wilds substitutes for all other symbols except Scatters.
Wild Bullet Feature & Bandit Free Spins Trigger
During any random spin in the base game, up to 6 Wild Bullets can be fired onto the reels in random positions. The Wild Bullet feature is active in both the base game and Free Spins round.
Also during any random spin, the Bandit can appear, and when he does he will automatically trigger the Free Spins round.
Wild Bandolier Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins.
Before the Free Spins round can begin, you will be met with 3 Wanted Posters with 15, 25, and 40 Guaranteed Wilds hidden behind them at random, and all you have to do is pick one.
During Free Spins, on each spin, a random number of Guaranteed Wilds will be added to the reels in random positions, and a random Multiplier up to a maximum of x5 will be applied to all wins during this time.
Wild Bandolier: Our Verdict
Play’n GO has been on a dry run with their new releases, and unfortunately, things don’t seem to get any better with Wild Bandolier.
The Wild West theme can be as worn as an old pair of cowboy boots if not done correctly. To many it’s just too generic, and to really pull it off the gameplay needs to be up to scratch. Wild West Duels and Cowboy Coins from Pragmatic Play are fine examples of games that transcend their timeworn appearance, but Wild Bandolier kind of misses the mark.
Through testing it ourselves we saw some okay results, but never anything to evoke an overwhelming feeling of excitement. The appeal could have been bolstered if the game itself was more capable, but the 2,000x maximum win doesn’t quite feel like its enough by today’s standards, and to be honest it’d be hard to imagine a situation in Wild Bandolier where it could ‘go off’
Overall, Wild Bandolier is far from Play’n GO’s best work, and we feel like its popularity, if any at all, might be short-lived.
