WWE Bonus Rumble: Gold Blitz Slot Review
Spotlights cut through the haze onto a squared circle packed with blurred crowd silhouettes, the reels sitting right on the ring apron with the ropes just visible below. WWE Bonus Rumble: Gold Blitz puts the wrestling to work rather than draping it over a generic grid: the belt-coin Cash symbols, the jackpot ladder and the pay-per-view gloss all feed the collection game instead of decorating it.
It’s a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways to win, running at 96.00% RTP on high volatility, with stakes from 0.20 to 50.00 per spin. Fortune Factory Studios have given it something most of their Gold Blitz catalogue doesn’t: two bonus modes different enough that the choice between them is a real decision. It sits alongside Gold Blitz Extreme and Candy Express Gold Blitz in the studio’s Gold Blitz family.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay left to right across adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost one. Ways can land in any position on those reels, which is what 4,096 ways on a 6×4 grid means in practice: you’re not tracking paylines, just clusters that run far enough across. Only the highest combination pays per way.
The total payout is the sum of every winning way on the spin. Ways wins are multiplied by the bet multiplier, which is the total bet divided by 10, so payouts scale cleanly as you move up the stake ladder. If multiple combinations land on a single way, only the highest one counts.
The Wild lands on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the base game and substitutes for everything except the Scatter, Cash, Jackpot and Collect symbols. It carries no payout of its own. Scatters pay anywhere on the reels, with wins multiplied by the total bet, and 3 or more award a payout plus a bonus choice.
Cash and Jackpot Symbols
Cash symbols appear on all reels in the base game, carrying championship-belt coin values that are multiplied by the total bet. Jackpot symbols sit on all reels too, and neither of them pays on its own. They’re targets: they only pay when something collects them.
Collect Feature
The Collect symbol lands on reels 1 and 6 in the base game. When one arrives, it awards every Cash and Jackpot symbol in view at once. Land Collects on both flanking reels in the same spin and the sweep runs twice, which is where the base game’s biggest moments come from.
Jackpot Ladder
Collected Jackpot symbols feed a three-tier ladder stacked down the left edge of the screen. At a 2.00 bet the rungs read like this:
- MINOR: 50.00, which is 25x the bet
- MAJOR: 500.00, which is 250x the bet
- MEGA: 5,000.00, the top of the ladder
The ladder is visible throughout, which does a quiet job of keeping the top prize in eyeline even during a losing run. The Mega is the ceiling the game is built around: every other prize on the board sits below it.
WWE Bonus Rumble: Gold Blitz Bonus Features
Three or more Scatters hand you a choice, and the choice is the whole bonus game: Free Spins or Gold Blitz. Both run at the bet and ways of the triggering spin. Which one you take is the biggest decision the game asks you to make.
Bonus Choice
The ladder of Scatter awards looks like this:
- 3 Scatters: 8 Free Spins or 2 Gold Blitz spins
- 4 Scatters: 12 Free Spins or 3 Gold Blitz spins
- 5 Scatters: 20 Free Spins or 5 Gold Blitz spins
- 6 Scatters: 30 Free Spins or 7 Gold Blitz spins
Either way you also pocket the Scatter payout itself, which is multiplied by the total bet before the feature begins. It’s a small cushion on top of the choice, and it applies at every rung of the ladder.
Free Spins
Free Spins strips the reels back to ways wins. Collect, Cash and Jackpot symbols don’t appear at all, so the collection game switches off entirely. In their place, the Wild shrinks onto reels 2, 3 and 4 and picks up a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x whenever it forms part of a winning way.
More than one multiplier wild on the same way multiplies the win by each of them in turn, so the multipliers stack rather than cancel each other out. Wins during the feature are added to base game wins, and the spins play out automatically once triggered. The feature ends after the final spin completes.
Retriggers are generous by family standards. Landing Scatters mid-round works like this:
- 2 Scatters: 5 additional Free Spins
- 3 Scatters: 8 additional Free Spins
- 4 Scatters: 12 additional Free Spins
- 5 Scatters: 20 additional Free Spins
- 6 Scatters: 30 additional Free Spins
Gold Blitz
Gold Blitz is the opposite build. Only Collect, Cash and Jackpot symbols appear, and a Collect symbol is guaranteed on reel 1 every single spin. A second Collect can land on reel 6 to sweep the whole board. Every spin collects something; the question is how much.
What you give up is volume. You get 2 spins from 3 Scatters and a maximum of 7 from 6, and the feature cannot be retriggered. It’s short by design, and it’s the mode for chasing the jackpot ladder rather than building a long round.
Cash symbol values during the feature work exactly as they do in the base game, multiplied by the total bet, and the bet stays locked to the triggering spin throughout. The round runs to its last spin and settles everything it has collected.
Bonus Buy
Both features are available to buy from the base game, at 96.25% RTP across the buy options:
- 4 Scatter option: 75x bet, for 12 Free Spins or 3 Gold Blitz spins
- 5 Scatter option: 120x bet, for 20 Free Spins or 5 Gold Blitz spins
- 6 Scatter option: 150x bet, for 30 Free Spins or 7 Gold Blitz spins
Buying the 4 or 5 Scatter options carries a chance of upgrading to more Scatters, so the headline tiers aren’t strictly the ceiling. The buy sits in the base game only and may not be available above a certain bet threshold. Purchased features play out at the current bet, same as a triggered one.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
You come to this one for the spectacle, and you stay because the spectacle is attached to a well-built collect game. Every spin has the jackpot ladder in your eyeline, and the belt coins give the theme something to actually do. On a full arena screen with the volume up, it feels like an event in a way most licence slots never manage.
The bonus choice is the best thing here, because the two modes are worth choosing between: a long retriggerable round on one side, a guaranteed-collection sprint on the other. The worst thing is how lopsided that choice feels at the low end, where a couple of Gold Blitz spins isn’t much runway and there’s no way to extend it. That’s the mode built for the ladder, and it’s the one that runs out of time first.
Collect-format fans get a strong entry with licence energy on top, and WWE viewers who want their slot to feel like a main event rather than a warm-up act will be happy here. Anyone after a slow, patient build should look elsewhere. The ring lights stay on, and the Mega keeps climbing while they do.
