One of the only issues we have with the slot is that it appears to have a very high volatility. There’s no variance listed by Light & Wonder, but just by playing the game, the wins are fairly few and can take quite some time to land. If you don’t have a rather sizeable budget for this slot, you’ll need to play on the lowest bet amount to experience wins. Throughout 100 spins on a bet of £1, we didn’t land wins any larger than £5. 

While the Trail Ways mechanic is a lot of fun and climbing it can be very rewarding, it would be nice to have another way to trigger the free spins too. The addition of bonus symbols or scatters would’ve made this slot even more enjoyable. We played through 100+ spins and only made it a maximum of 4 steps up the Trail. However, if you’re keen to see what the free spins have to offer, we’re big fans of the Bonus Buy feature and the fact that it’s only 75x your current bet.
