Base Game & Features
Ashoka Eternal is a 7-column, 5-row Video Slot, playable from £.€0.20 per spin, up to a maximum bet size of £.€100 per spin. As with all ELK titles, there is a limited selection of bet sizes between the lowest and highest.
Ashoka Eternal features 4 High and Low-paying symbols, with the highest-paying producing wins of up to 250x your bet for 16+ winning symbols. Low-paying symbols fall to Red, Orange, Green, and Blue tiles.
Wins are created when 5-16+ identical symbols land adjacent to each other via a Cluster Pays mechanic. When a winning cluster forms, it is removed from play, causing new symbols to fall into place via an Avalanche Feature. All blocker symbols adjacent to winning clusters are also wiped out, increasing the number of symbols on the grid.
Removing all blocker symbols will increase the grid size to 7×7, adding a new row of blocker symbols on columns 1 and 7. Removing all blocker symbols on columns 1 and 7 increases the grid size to 7×9, adding an extra row of blocker symbols to the top and bottom rows. Multiplier blockers add their value to the Global Multiplier when adjacent to winning symbols.
Ashoka Eternal has a theoretical RTP of 94%, a High Volatility rating, and a max win cap of 25,000x your bet. The low RTP is something we’ve come to expect in an ELK Studios title. If you’re looking for a slot with higher RTP variants, why not check out our Slot Reviews page for inspiration?
Multiplier Wheel
The multiplier wheel has 12 individual positions available. Activating the multiplier wheel requires the wheel to lock into a position where a Multiplier Activation symbol is on the top position.
Once active, the wheel turns 1 step to the left after each win. If additional winning clusters hit, the wheel continues to turn to the left. This continues until no more winning clusters are present on the grid. Clearing all blocker symbols in Level 3 will cause the wheel to stop and activate the Global Multiplier for the remaining game round.
Big Symbols
During gameplay, paytable symbols can drop in sizes 1×1, 2×2, or 3×3. If a big symbol drop ends with empty positions below it, the big symbol will replicate and fill all empty positions with 1×1-sized symbols of the same type.
Big & Charged Wilds
Big Wilds pay the same amount as regular Wilds, substituting for all High and Low-paying symbols. Charged Wilds can last up to 3 winning clusters. After the last win, it is removed from play.
Redrop Symbols
Redrop symbols select 1 paying symbol type and keep them sticky on the grid for 1 Redrop. The Redrop Feature only activates when all winning clusters are complete.

Ashoka Eternal Free Spins
Landing 3 Bonus Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 8 Free Spins. Inactive Bonus Scatters will become active when adjacent to winning symbols. Charged Wilds remain in view upon entry into Free Spins and between spins.
The round begins with a new set of symbols on the grid. Activating a Bonus Scatter awards an additional +2 Free Spins. Triggering the Super Bonus requires one of the Bonus Scatters to be a ‘Super Scatter’. During the super bonus, the Multiplier Wheel has double the chance to activate the Global Multiplier.

Conclusion
Ashoka is one of the lesser-known ‘series’ from ELK Studios, albeit quite a new one. The series wasn’t a major statement piece from ELK Studios, nor was it a top performer. It had others in the ELK Catalogue to contend with, which includes the likes of the fierce Gold Series and the vast array of Nitropolis slots.
Though not as appealing (in our opinion) Ashoka and Ashoka Eternal does have significant appeal. In this one, the multiplier system has been tweaked, yet we’re not entirely convinced that the change significantly improves upon the foundations laid by the original game. The win potential looks excellent as per usual with 25,000x the bet as a top prize, yet we’d still prefer some of ELK’s other great games, even if the win potential is a little lower.
Perhaps its the unfamiliarity of the series so far, but we much prefer some of the other great options. Ashoka Eternal is well worth a try, don’t get us wrong, but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression.
