5 Online Slots to Play While Waiting for GTA 6
Miami Mayhem – Hacksaw Gaming
If there’s one slot that immediately calls GTA to mind, it’s Miami Mayhem. From the title’s typography to the wanted mechanic, Hacksaw Gaming is being about as subtle as a knuckleduster to the face when it comes to its inspiration.
Gameplay revolves around Expanding Crew Reels, which turn into Wilds with multipliers of up to 100x. Wanted symbols trigger ‘Missions’ with three respins, while completing objectives increases your Wanted Level and unlocks stronger multipliers.
There are also three themed bonus rounds: The Hit, We Split, and Get Lit, each offering a different route through the criminal underworld with different Crew members taking the spotlight.
With the Wanted Level mechanic, distinct crime vibe, and the obvious logo, Miami Mayhem might actually be the closest thing you’ll find to a GTA-inspired slot without actually booting up your PS5 Pro.

Cash Crew – Hacksaw Gaming
While the name Grand Theft Auto implies the (virtual, obviously) theft of motor vehicles, real fans know that this is only a small part of the game itself, with the bulk of money reeled in from major heists and bank busts.
One slot that takes that heist theme and runs with it is Cash Crew, also from Hacksaw Gaming, inviting players to assemble a criminal crew and crack open a heavily-guarded vault.
The action unfolds across five reels, with Cash symbols waiting to be collected and Multiplier Wilds capable of boosting their values. Grab ’em symbols collect the cash, while the two bonus rounds, The Vault and High-Security Vault, introduce persistent multiplier positions and enhanced payouts.
Suited and booted with masked disguises, Cash Crew has all the key ingredients of a classic GTA Online heist, minus that one friend who insists on taking 80% of the cut even though they don’t pull their weight.

Apex Dregs – EXCO
One of the most recognisable things about GTA is its iconic loading-screen artwork, with stylised comic-book-inspired illustrations of the game’s colourful characters. EXCO’s Apex Dregs has a remarkably similar visual style, with its crime-vs-law theme making it a natural fit for this list.
The GTA connections don’t end with the visuals. In our exclusive Q&A with EXCO, the studio revealed that its Doubling Dial mechanic was actually inspired by the idea of a rising Wanted Level, similar to GTA.
With every cascade, the multiplier doubles, potentially climbing all the way to 2,048x. Checkpoints help preserve progress, while the Escape Bonus offers a last-ditch attempt to reach the next level.
With its clear crime connection and comic-book-style aesthetic, Apex Dregs should definitely ticks a few boxes for GTA fans.

Money Train – Relax Gaming
Okay, so this next entry might be cheating a little bit…
Money Train and its successors actually have more in common with the likes of Red Dead Redemption over GTA, but since both franchises come from the minds at Rockstar Games, we’re still counting it. Besides, real GTA fans know that the best missions involve train heists, so follow that damn train!
The original Money Train from Relax Gaming takes players on a journey out to the Wild West, where a gang of outlaws have their sights set on a particularly lucrative locomotive, with a possible 20,000x as the ultimate payday, showing that crime really can pay (metaphorically speaking).
The 5×4 slot features 40 fixed paylines, but the main attraction is its Hold-and-Spin-style Money Cart bonus, where special symbols can help build potentially enormous payouts, with the series only getting bigger and better with each new addition – just like Grand Theft Auto games.

San Quentin xWays – Nolimit City
What happens when your Wanted Level maxes out and you’re swarmed by cop cars, attack helicopters, and tanks? You end up behind bars, and Nolimit City proves that San Quentin is certainly somewhere you don’t want to drop the soap!
Anyone familiar with the GTA franchise will know that Rockstar Games has never been afraid to push a few buttons, and NLC are a studio that shares that same ‘devil-may-care’ philosophy, with little concern for political correctness.
Underneath the gritty prison-yard exterior, there’s plenty going on mechanically, with Nolimit’s trademark xMechanics. The xWays feature expands symbols to create more winning opportunities, while Wild Multipliers, xNudge Wilds, and San Quentin Spins bonus mean this is a game that runs into some seriously volatile territory.
It’s dark and full of crude humour, which means GTA fans will probably feel right at home spinning this slot.

The Wait Is Almost Over
The big day is almost here – one that we’ve waited over ten years for.
Soon enough we’ll be exploring Vice City once again, causing mayhem across Leonida and probably ignoring the main story missions while cruising around listening to the bangers on the radio. Unless you’re patiently waiting for the GTA 6 PC port, in which case, you might want to get comfy as Rockstar haven’t even announced an official release date for that yet!
Until then, these five slots offer a little taste into a (virtual) life of crime, without raising your IRL Wanted Level. If you’re curious about any of these crime-themed games, explore our free slot demos and slot reviews for more insights.
