Cash Truck 2 places us in a futuristic world, with golden skies, and a lot of fog. Right at the centre of it all is another Cash Truck filled with an ‘oversize load’ of wonga, just waiting to be hijacked, and we’re the ones to do it of course.

Quickspin has taken Cash Truck 2 to new levels, with special Compressor and Cloner modifiers that can be activated during the base game. Upping the ante a little more, Quickspin has thrown in a Super Bonus that can be triggered by landing at least 1 Super Scatter at the time of triggering the Truck Raider Bonus.

Cash Truck 2 Base Game and Features

Cash Truck 2 is a 6-reel slot with up to 117,649 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the highest-paying symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Cash Truck 2 has a theoretical RTP of 96.10% and a max win cap of 35,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Character with the Gold Background, followed by the Characters with the Pink, Green, and Blue backgrounds, Medipack, Pink Gun, and Blue Gun. Low-paying symbols fall to Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, and Clubs. Wild substitute for all other symbols except Scatters.

Expanding Play Area

Each base game spin begins with a reel set of 6 reels of 7 in height but with up to 4 symbol positions locked at the top, as seen in the previous Cash Truck titles.

Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed from play, and the reel set will open up between 3 and 5 randomly chosen locked positions, revealing a new symbol underneath it. This will continue until no new winning combinations are formed.

Modifier Symbols

During any random spin in the base game, 1 of 2 unique Modifiers can appear in view, awarding the following.

• Compressor – Removes all regular-paying symbols from the reel set (excluding Wilds and Scatters), triggering a new Tumble of symbols to drop. After this, when no winning combinations can form, the Compressor symbol will explode in its current position, removing all symbols around it. If there are any locked symbols, they will remain in play in an unlocked state, triggering another Tumble.
• Cloner – Selects 1 unlocked regular-paying symbol from the leftmost reel and clones it into other positions on the reel set, including the Cloner symbol.

Cash Truck 2 Truck Raider Bonus

Landing 3 unlocked Scatters anywhere across the reel set triggers the Truck Raider Bonus round, awarding 3 Lives. Landing 3+ Scatters will award an extra Expander symbol for each additional Scatter after the 3rd.

During the Bonus round, the reel set changes to a glorified Hold & Win type round, where all symbols in play will display a random Cash Value in multiples of the base game bet.

With each new spin, Cash or special Modifier symbols can land in view. Starting off with 3 Lives, each time a new symbol lands in view it will become sticky (unless removed by another feature symbol), restoring the spent Lives back to 3.

• Expander – Unlocks 3 randomly selected positions from the locked area.
• Booster – Adds its value to all other symbols on the unlocked play area upon landing.
• Super Booster – Adds its value to all other symbols on the unlocked play area upon landing, and on every new spin thereafter.
• Grabber – Adds the values of all present symbols on the unlocked play area to its own value upon landing.
• Super Grabber – Adds the values of all present symbols on the unlocked play area to its own value upon landing and for every spin thereafter.
• Doubler – Doubles its value each time the spin counter gets reset back to 3 Lives.
• Cloner – Selects the highest value from the unlocked play area, adds the amount to itself, and clones it to a random number of empty spots.
• Compressor – Adds the values of all Cash symbols from the unlocked play area to itself, and removes those Cash symbols from the grid, creating more empty spots.

Truck Raider Super Bonus

Triggering the Super Bonus round is done by landing at least 1 Super Bonus Scatter at the time of triggering the Truck Raider Bonus.

The Super Bonus round works in a similar fashion to that of the regular Bonus round. Once the Super Bonus is active, the Super Scatter is transformed into either a Doubler, Super Booster or Super Grabber symbol.

Target Eliminated

Either Bonus rounds will end immediately if the max win cap of 35,000x is reached.

Cash Truck 2 Bonus Buy

Those outside the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option. Quickspin has granted players access to both the Truck Raider Bonus and Super Bonus for 85x and 250x your current bet respectively.

Cash Truck 2: Our Verdict

Quickspin has been on a bit of a downward spiral recently, with new releases that aren’t quite as promising as we’d have liked. Things are finally looking a lot brighter thanks to Cash Truck 2 and the potential that comes with it.

It’s nice to see a provider such as Quickspin consider their players in the UK that don’t have the luxury of a Bonus Buy option. Cash Truck 2 gives UK players the opportunity to land that much-desired Super Bonus all on their own, but they’ve not made it easy for us.

Cash Truck 2 doesn’t quite top the potential that Relax Gaming’s Money Train 3 has to offer, but this game is much more realistic for UK players with its Expanding Play Area and Modifier features, and is nowhere near as brutal.

Switching things up a little, Quickspin has ditched the Second Chance Feature and traded it in for special Cloner and Compressor modifiers that can be triggered in the base game as well as the Truck Raider Bonus. Some may be disappointed with this change, whereas others will be more than happy to embrace the change.

Our expectations are always high when it comes to a sequel, and Quickspin has made sure that Cash Truck 2 is bigger and better than the first, in more ways than one. When in a good mood, Cash Truck 2 can deliver wins of up to 35,000x, which is a staggering 10,000x higher than the original.

All in all, Quickspin has done an outstanding job with the sequel to a game that has won the hearts of many, and we can’t wait to see where they take the series next!
