Bison Blocks Slot Review 2024
Bison Blocks from Stakelogic plays on the ever-popular Bison theme in a rather mystical way. As soon as we saw ‘Bison’ we were expecting some sort of American Praire slot complete with perhaps a canyon or two, or maybe even a tumbleweed for good measure.
However, it looks as if Stakelogic has taken a different approach. Bison Blocks looks quite enhancing, and the Bison in this game seem to be wearing some sort of armor. Could the Bison be raring for battle? Stakelogic are with their newest offering, and we’re excited to check it out.
Bison Blocks Base Game and Features
Bison Blocks is a 6-reel slot with up to 46,656 Pay Ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options available in between the two thanks to the Super Stake feature. This game has a theoretical RTP of 95.52% and a max win cap of 15,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Red Bison, followed by the Purple, Blue, and Green Bison. Low-paying symbols fall to Hearts, Clubs, Spades, and Diamonds. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Scatters.
Pay Ways
Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will remain in their position, whilst all other non-winning symbols are removed, triggering a new Cascade where symbols fall from above.
If any new winning symbols land, they too will remain on the reels, and all non-winning symbols will be removed again, triggering yet another Cascade. This pattern will continue until no new winning symbols land in view.
After 3 consecutive Cascading wins in a row, the reels will extend to 6 rows high, increasing the ways to win up to 46,656 maximum.
Super Stake
Before you can begin spinning, you will be given the choice to activate the Super Satke feature. Activating this feature will Double your current bet level.
Once active, more Scatters will be added to the reels meaning that your chances of triggering the Free Spins round are naturally higher.
Bison Blocks Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters across the reels during the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 12, 14, and 16 Free Spins respectively.
Scatter symbols that land in the base game will explode with non-winning symbols. Each Scatter will be collected and stored in a Free Spins Collection meter. If 3 or more Scatters are collected during this time, the Free Spins round will automatically be awarded at the end of Cascades.
During Free Spins, a global Win Multiplier will be active, starting at x1. Each Cascade will increase the Win Multiplier by +x1 and does not reset between Free Spins.
Landing 3 or more Scatters during this time will award an additional +5 Free Spins.
Bison Blocks Bonus Buy
Those outside the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option. Stakelogic has granted players access to 5 Bonus Buy options, as follows.
- 10 Free Spins – 100x your bet.
- 12 Free Spins – 150x your bet.
- 14 Free Spins – 200x your bet.
- 16 Free Spins – 250x your bet.
- Random – Triggers the Free Spins round with one of the above number of Free Spins at random, for a total cost of 175x your bet.
Bison Blocks: Our Verdict
Bison Blocks is another of Stakelogic’s ‘quality over quantity’ slots that has been given plenty of TLC to make it great, and that’s exactly what Stakelogic has achieved here.
Bison Blocks has an appealing theme, even though it’s one we’ve come across many times before, with a fantastic design, modern graphics, and exciting gameplay.
Cascading symbols are the norm these days, but removing non-winning symbols isn’t something you come across that often, and it certainly gives Bison Blocks an edge.
Each consecutive winning cascade paves the way to expanding rows, opening up the ways to win to a maximum of 46,656. This feature is reminiscent of Quickspin’s Big Bad Wolf Megaways, but is equally as difficult to achieve it seems.
The Free Spins round gives you more of the same gameplay but with an added bonus of a global Win Multiplier. The higher the Win Multiplier climbs, the bigger the wins, with even the smallest of wins becoming monumental.
All in all, the Bison theme certainly isn’t new, and it might get easy for Bison Blocks to get lost in the crowd. However, if given a chance it has the potential to be a fan favourite.
