Cops N Robbers Big Money Christmas Slot Review
Snow piles on the rooftops of a small blue town, sleighs and baubles replace the usual loot, and a robber in a Santa hat carries on regardless. Cops N Robbers Big Money Christmas is at its best when it stops being a slot about lines and becomes a slot about one chase: the reels matter mostly for what they feed it.
The festive reskin rides a 5×4 grid with 10 win lines, an RTP of 94.99% and a maximum win of 2,500x the bet. It’s an Inspired build, and it shares DNA with Cops N Robbers Megaways, a 2021 game we liked for cramming far more into a sequel than most reskins bother with. This one drops Megaways entirely in favour of a collect-and-chase bonus, sitting closer to Centurion Megaways in spirit than to Bigger Piggy Bank’s piggy payouts.
Base Game, Symbols and Win Lines
All play runs across 10 fixed win lines, paying left to right across adjacent reels from the leftmost reel. Only the highest award counts per winning combination, and wins on different lines are added together. It’s a conventional line-based setup; nothing here reinvents how a spin resolves.
The reels carry a festive cast: the game logo, a bauble, a sleigh, loose cash, a green present bag and the five card ranks. Matching two, three, four or five symbols across a valid line scores a win. The paytable, as multiples of the line bet:
- Cops N Robbers Logo – 2: 0.5x, 3: 5x, 4: 20x, 5: 200x
- Bauble/Ornament – 3: 3x, 4: 15x, 5: 100x
- Sleigh and Cash/Bills – 3: 2x, 4: 10x, 5: 50x
- Presents (green bag) – 3: 1x, 4: 5x, 5: 20x
- 10, J, Q, K, A – 3: 0.5x, 4: 2.5x, 5: 10x
The robber symbol is wild, substituting for everything except the bonus symbol, and he pays at the logo’s rates, making him the richest symbol on the reels. The bonus symbol appears on all five reels in the base game, and three or more anywhere in view starts the main event.
The Big Money Bonus
Three bonus symbols award the Big Money Bonus with a 1x starting multiplier. Four upgrades it to the Super Big Money Bonus at 2x, and five lands the Mega Big Money Bonus at 3x. From there, the whole round plays out as a chase.
A progressive trail sits above the reels carrying multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x and 10x. The first, 2x, sits at position six on the trail, with each further multiplier arriving every three positions after that. Once a multiplier is reached, every present the robber collects from then on is multiplied by it.
Each robber symbol that lands moves him along the trail and gathers the value of every present in view, once per robber. Each cop symbol moves the pursuing officer one position closer, one step per symbol. Both stand in for other symbols while they’re at it.
When several cop or robber symbols land together in one view, each moves its character one position per symbol, so a crowded spin can swing the chase in both directions at once. Present values run from 1x up to 100x the active bet.
A big present landing alongside a high trail multiplier is where the round’s serious money comes from. The feature ends only when the cop catches the robber, and the identification that follows decides whether the chase restarts.
The ID Parade
When the cop finally catches the robber, the round pauses for the ID Parade. Three characters appear and a quick random highlight settles on one of them, and each has a different effect:
- Bert – the bonus ends and any accumulated winnings are paid
- Sid – the cop is pushed back two positions and the chase continues
- Vic – the robber sprints ahead to the next multiplier on the trail and the chase continues
Fortune Spins
Rather than spinning the normal reels, a different base game can be switched on via the Fortune Spins toggle. Everything is stripped from the reels except the presents, the bonus symbols and the robber. Freed from his usual role, the robber now works as a substitute and hoovers up any present he shares the reels with.
The present’s value is paid once for every robber symbol in view, and the same 1x to 100x range applies here as in the bonus. Fortune Spins can be played at any bet.
It’s essentially the bonus round’s collection mechanic grafted onto the base game, at the cost of every regular symbol payout. Bonus symbols still appear in this mode too, so the full chase round stays reachable while you’re collecting.
The Gamble Wheel
After any win, a gamble button offers a wheel with green and red segments. Green awards the cash value or the free spins on offer; red loses the winnings and returns you to the base game. A collect button banks everything at any point during the feature.
Winnings can be gambled up to a cap of 2,500x the bet, at which point the game collects automatically and exits. Through the free-spins gamble the ceiling is the Mega Big Money Bonus; once that’s been gambled to, the bonus wheel is disabled though the cash wheel stays open.
The gamble’s expected payback is 100%, which makes the wheel fair in the long run. One warning worth passing on: when the winning segment shrinks to its minimum, the real chance of success can be meaningfully lower than the wheel makes it look.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
You come to this one for the chase, not the lines. Ten paylines of sleighs and card ranks are a quiet affair between bonuses, and honestly they’re just the waiting room before the cop and the robber do their Christmas runaround. That chase, when it arrives, is where every decent win in this game lives.
The strength is the ID Parade. A caught robber isn’t the end of anything two times in three, so the tension holds right to the last highlight, and Vic running the robber to the next multiplier is a proper escape. The weakness is the ceiling: 2,500x is a modest cap for a round built on trail multipliers and 100x presents, and 94.99% RTP doesn’t soften it.
Series fans get a warm, well-dressed version of a chase they already like, and the 100% gamble wheel rewards patience with fair maths. Players after four-figure potential won’t find it under this tree. Those happy to collect presents while the snow falls will feel right at home.
